00:00The Zoom habit that other people do that annoys me the most is when they don't mute their
00:11microphone.
00:12I think the nonverbal cues.
00:14The sound of people chewing.
00:16People not turning on their cameras.
00:18Meetings drag on for far too long.
00:20Unmuted microphones.
00:21I can basically hear children in the background, plates being scraped together, and I one time
00:27even heard a toilet flush.
00:30You have those nonverbal cues from people like when to start and when to end a conversation
00:34and when exactly you're not supposed to speak and when you can speak.
00:38Why can't you just mute if you're eating something?
00:41I mean it's okay if you're eating something.
00:43Just mute yourself and make sure that you're not chewing while somebody else is talking
00:47or while you're talking.
00:48I've always wondered why I need to stare into a blank screen and speak to a whole lot of
00:55people who don't show their faces when it is a meeting.
00:58Either they want to hide themselves or they don't want to show what they are doing.
01:02But it's very strange and it's very annoying.
01:05As more and more people contribute and have something to say, these meetings tend to go
01:10on for very long.
01:11I've heard kids in the background just going crazy over whatever.
01:20If you have several of those going off at the same time, it's very hard to get to the
01:27meat of the meeting itself.
01:29So if you're not talking, please mute your microphone.
01:33People need to also realize that there are times when when the mic is on, you can't keep
01:39talking ill about somebody or talking behind the person's back because everything is being
01:46recorded and everyone's hearing what you say.
01:49I feel that certain standards of operating on these video conferencing meetings should
01:55be set up.
01:56Certainly, someone needs to be hosting it and setting strict time limits.
02:01You don't realize that a lot of time has gone by.
