00:00You're going to be in the new Abhishek Sharma's comedy as well with Manoj Bajpayee and of course Dildit Dosanjh.
00:05Perhaps you can tell us about your latest comedy that's releasing this Diwali.
00:11I am really excited. I'm very happy. It is with you know great people, great actors.
00:16It was a great opportunity to be a part of such a huge cast and an amazing cast.
00:20Was it a lot of fun just attempting comedy for a change?
00:23It was a lot of fun. There was no action that I had to do.
00:27The vibe of the set was great. There were times when we were doing a scene and we would crack up
00:31because it was so funny.
00:32Did you have fun doing comedy? Is it tough making people laugh?
00:36Personally, my humour is very bad. It is difficult to make people laugh and good writing comes in handy.
00:42Tell me about Manoj Bajpayee. He's a powerhouse talent.
00:45I think that's watching like a crash course in acting.
00:47So, did you think you were attending a master class in acting?
00:50Whenever I sit with him, I ask him about his roles and what he does and
00:54I love hanging out with him because he has so many stories and his journey itself is so intense.
01:01It is lovely to be spending time with a person like this, like him.
01:07You actually have no problem telling people you are looking for work.
01:10I think that is the biggest change in actors today where they don't have any issue
01:15saying that I'm looking for work. So, is that a good thing?
01:17Now, you are so open about desperate for good work.
01:21I don't mind. I send texts to directors every now and then.
01:24Please remember that I exist. I want work. I want to work with you.
01:29Because you know you tend to forget that there are so many actors around.
01:34How has the journey been so far? We ask you this because suddenly Bollywood has
01:38become this big bad place for outsiders. Do you look at that narrative and identify
01:43with that how tough it is for outsiders?
01:45I also do not think that this industry is this big bad industry and that you know it's come
01:49to eat everybody alive and then it's not giving opportunities to people.
01:53Of course, it is giving opportunities.
01:55It's been giving opportunities since forever, since the industry has existed.
01:58There are so many cases where people have seen somebody, they've identified,
02:02they thought there was some potential and they've casted them
02:05who have not been even a part of the industry.
02:08It is unfair that you tag this industry as this evil industry.
02:13I have gone through the struggle. I'm an outsider but tomorrow if I have a child
02:17and if I have a sibling and I want and they want to be a part of this industry
02:21why would I not want to help them? Why would I not want to protect them?
02:24It is unfair to say that there are no opportunities for outsiders.
02:29There is an outsider coming every other day. We are getting opportunities.
02:33It is going to be difficult. It is always difficult for an outsider in any field, any industry.
02:38You have to find the positive. You know it's going to be a hard job.
02:40I knew I'm an outsider. I knew it's going to be difficult.
02:43I knew that a star kid is going to get a priority.
02:46I'm still optimistic. I'm still going by it.
02:49I will kill them with my hard work and I will try to be better than them.
02:53I will have to work harder and what is so bad? I will be better than them.
02:57What do you want the viewers to take from your movie?
03:00Films are an escape. Always been an escape. Literature is an escape.
03:04You read book to escape the current situation.
03:06So, I want people to just go and forget things outside what is happening or just enjoy.
