00:00Please go watch our film, Parde Mein Rehne Do, and Eid Mubarak, and we love you once again.
00:09You know, these social taboos in Pakistan, they've become taboos because, you know,
00:13in families it's very uncomfortable to talk about them. So it also then becomes hard for
00:19us to talk about it as a society. So when we can generate some conversation around it,
00:24it's exciting. It feels very good. And it feels like, you know, as an actor, I think as a
00:31performer, you don't have just a responsibility towards yourself, but you have a responsibility
00:35towards your audience. And if you're able to tell those stories and you're able to give the audience
00:42some sort of messaging, or you can tell them, you can educate them in some form,
00:48that fulfills our responsibility as actors, you know, twofold.
00:53Even through dramas, we have shown what a normal, realistic life of a woman looks like.
00:58But I think we've only tackled issues that happen inside a household. You know,
01:02we've never talked about other issues. We've always talked about the issues in somebody's
01:06marriage, in their families. We've never talked about what other problems a woman has in life.
01:13So yeah, I'm glad that it is happening now, that we're talking about other things that
01:20happen in a woman's life and how empowered she actually is. Even in our dramas, we show
01:24empowered women a lot now. And I'm really happy that that's happening now.
01:29I think as, I'll tell you something, especially for cinema, I believe, or entertainment or any
01:35piece of art that you put out there, it's a window to your culture, to your world. So I mean,
01:41I think it's a really important medium and a very necessary medium in order to, you know,
01:47portray your culture and show other people what your country is all about,
01:52what your culture norms, strengths, weaknesses are all about.
01:55Every time we're here, you know, Dubai is extremely warm. The people are extremely warm. And
02:00it's always a pleasure to meet all of our fans and people who follow us and know us through our
02:04dramas. And it's always nice to connect with them. So they've given us great feedback on the film as
02:10well. So it's been a good experience. Yeah, it's like a mini Pakistan.
02:14It's like, you know, you come home from home.
02:18There's always that homely.
