00:00It's been a thrilling final day of the season. Pep Guardiola knew that he had to have a win
00:05in the final game to win his fourth title in five seasons.
00:17Manchester City staged a stunning late comeback with three goals in five minutes to beat Aston
00:24Villa and win the Premier League just as it looked like their chances were about to be lost
00:31at the Etihad Stadium today. It's been a thrilling final day of the season.
00:35Pep Guardiola knew that he had to have a win in the final game to win his fourth title in five
00:41seasons but they couldn't have got off to a worse start against Aston Villa. Matty Cash gave them
00:47the lead with a brilliant header and then Philippe Coutinho doubled the advantage in the second half
00:52and with just 15 minutes left of the game it looked like Liverpool might do the unthinkable
00:58and steal that title on the final day. But as I've said, three goals in five minutes,
01:05couple four, good the gun and a strike from Rodri and it meant that Man City won that match 3-2
01:12even though Liverpool beat Wolves 3-1 but the title remains at the Etihad. I'm joined by Sahil
01:19to discuss the game. Sahil, have you got your breath back from that terrific night of football?
01:24I mean you see what my situation was. I kept changing the channel here and there because
01:29see I was watching the Man United game then I'm switching to Liverpool then I'm switching to Man
01:34City then I'm going to the relegation battle so it was just I'm keep I'm just switching non-stop
01:39here and there but it was such an enjoyable thing you know seeing City go 2-0 down,
01:44seeing Liverpool go 1-0 down in two minutes. It was just you know as a football fan it's just
01:50fun to watch and then how Man City scored three goals in six minutes wow some exceptional football
01:56I mean like I said they have the stars in their team and then Liverpool also made an impressive
02:01comeback you know Wolves were playing well let's be honest Wolves played well but in the end
02:06Liverpool won it but Man City just took it in the end. Ilkay Gundogan he's the star man last season
02:11he was the hero for Man City this season I mean he was a good but not as good as last season but
02:16he's done it again for Pep Guardiola so congrats to Man City but it was such an enjoyable last day.
02:23Jamshed, do you echo those thoughts? Do you think the best team won in the end?
02:28Yeah thoroughly deserving title for Man City but man what is this what we have witnessed this is
02:34the Premier League bro you know I don't think any other league can match the drama the
02:40the enthralling nature of the games and and the unpredictability man you know
02:46you know when City were like two trailing by two goals we thought it's all over but then
02:52they scored like three goals in five and a half minutes unbelievable and and when they scored
02:57the third goal Liverpool scored their second goal in at Anfield you know these are the
03:01the magical moments that Premier League can offer and and even down bottom as well you know like
03:07leads are staying up Burnley are going down unlimited drama man I don't think any other
03:13league can match this this is absolutely incredible and we have seen in 2012 also City
03:18trailing by two goals and winning 3-2 in the end and the same thing has happened it wasn't as
03:23dramatic as that but still it was unbelievable and yeah City are the deserving champions but
03:29you have to give credit to Jurgen Klopp and his team because they have pushed City right
03:35till the very end literally right till the very end which is absolutely incredible during the
03:41old days you know when you know getting like 80-82 points would have been enough to win a
03:45title in the Premier League now see 90 plus points won't guarantee you the Premier League title
03:51absolutely incredible the standards these two teams have brought into the Premier League is
03:56absolutely incredible and the quality from you know when you look at the Premier League table
04:02the quality between the first two and the rest is absolutely too big bigger gap but still Premier
04:09League is incredible man what a great league to watch it was it was absolutely incredible I mean
04:14I read an interesting stat just earlier today that after Liverpool won this game they have
04:19accumulated enough points in the last 32 Premier League seasons to win 25 titles
04:25now it's just it's been unbelievable what's happening down there but unfortunately for
04:29Jurgen Klopp they were pipped to the post today in in such a sad way for them but it started
04:36really badly for Liverpool I mean against Wolves at Anfield Neto gave Wolves a lead up to just two
04:41minutes terrible defending from Kunat at the back had van Dijk been playing I mean he swallows those
04:46up all season long it's a simple straightforward headache he got under the ball misjudged the flight
04:50completely they got in behind Kroos came in and took the lead and Anfield there was pin drop silence
04:55at Anfield well after just two minutes obviously the fans had come in there expecting Liverpool to
05:00win and to win big but to go behind in such an important game the atmosphere was completely it
05:06just fell flat but then as the news started to filter in from the Etihad that Villa had taken
05:12the lead and then when they went 2-0 up I mean I remember yesterday we were talking about this
05:17saying that Steven Gerrard might have a big say in this title race and for 75 minutes he did but
05:25I mean you just can't write City off they're such a good team they've proved it again those three
05:29goals in those five minutes turned it around completely so I mean what happens now for
05:35Man City but they're gonna have they've got obviously Haaland next season as well they've
05:38got to be even stronger can Liverpool catch them next season or can someone else be joining in the
05:43title race next season I mean why not why can't they catch him I mean if you see Liverpool squad
05:48they still have that same world-class team I mean there are rumors about Liverpool like if Salah
05:54might leave Mane is linked nowadays to a few clubs so it is scary for Liverpool but if they have the
06:00same team Diaz has made an unbelievable impact so of course Liverpool will catch them even for Chelsea
06:06I mean see now they have the new owner they have to make the signings they're most probably going
06:10to sign a centre-back in the name of Koundé from Sevilla so I feel like Chelsea can also catch
06:15Man City yes Haaland he will make a huge difference I mean City have been without a strike for almost
06:21two seasons now Aguero and now Jesus doesn't usually play as a striker he plays as a right
06:26wing so it will be fun but why not why why can't Chelsea or Liverpool catch Man City absolutely
06:32they can catch them Shamsher what do you think's gonna happen next season same again Pep Guardiola
06:38again or do you think Liverpool Chelsea your boys Mane United Tottenham Arsenal there's some good
06:45teams in there yeah but the quality of these two teams are pretty pretty too I don't know what word
06:54we can use because it's unbelievable I don't think anyone can catch these two to be honest but
06:59the unpredictable predictable nature of the Premier League could have a different say to my
07:04predictions but it will be City and Liverpool next season as well especially you can see
07:08Pity added Haaland into their team and KDB Haaland combination is going to bring goals man
07:15goals and definitely they're going to make more signings as well because Fernandinho is leaving
07:20so they will be adding another midfielder to their squad and they won't add any normal guy they'll be
07:25buying up world-class midfielder so already the score depth is absolutely incredible they had a
07:30problem in the striker area but now they have sorted out that area as well now also Liverpool
07:35like like what Sahil mentioned there are some contract issues and all but they have Jurgen Klopp
07:41so Jurgen Klopp is going to find a solution and definitely they will push City again for the title
07:46next season and it will be these two and what Sahil said Chelsea could have a say in the title race but
07:52a lot of rebuilding work has to be done over there and a lot of departures are there and it's a it's
07:58a huge task for Tuchel to get the team going for a title push but they can have a say but it's
08:05between City and Liverpool they're too strong... Do you think your new owners are going to back Tuchel
08:11give him the money that he needs to bring in new players and make Chelsea a challenge for next season?
08:16I think they have to because what Tuchel had a meeting with Todd Bawley and he's been saying
08:23that it's a positive meeting so I hope they will make changes but they'll make signings but there
08:29are a lot of signings to be done and a lot of additions needs to be done so I can't think that
08:33can be done in one window it'll take at least two windows to get sorted but Tuchel as we have seen
08:40this season as well in the cup competitions and all he has made the team to play at the top level
08:45and we lost in the two finals cup finals in the penalty so normal time we gave Liverpool a
08:51stronger side a real battle and even in the Champions League against Real Madrid we won
08:56at the Bernabeu still lost in the extra time but still we can push any team and we have seen
09:03us playing in the Champions League and winning it in the last season so Tuchel is the biggest asset
09:08that is there for Chelsea Football Club and if the new owners can back him we can give these two
09:14boys like City and Liverpool a push but I don't think we will be anywhere near winning it but
09:21definitely we can give them a push. Well that's a good point Shamsher I mean yes in the two cup
09:25finals you weren't beaten in the 90 minutes or the extra time you lost on penalty shootouts and
09:30that's that's just a lottery so yeah going forwards Chelsea got a lot to be positive about
09:34and if they can get a couple of signings in if Boli and he's new in the consortium can back
09:40manager Tuchel and get some new blood in there yeah Chelsea should be well you finished the
09:45that's a very decent position to finish you've qualified for the Champions League also qualifying
09:50for the Champions League is Tottenham I mean that was we all knew that they were going to score
09:55quite a few goals against Norwich today and they did that they won 5-0 Arsenal beat Everton 5-1
10:00but it wasn't enough Tottenham had a two-point advantage and they saw that through do you think
10:07Conte can do something in the Champions League next season Sahil?
10:11Oh of course why not this is Antonio Conte one of the finest managers I'm sure Shamsher will know
10:16how Conte is he's won a title for Chelsea in his very first season in the Premier League and that's
10:21not a joke it's not easy to win a Premier League title so and and he won he gave them the Champions
10:27League I mean the Champions League spot Tottenham from nowhere you know when they had lost to Man
10:32United 3-0 the what was the manager named Nuno had got sacked so what a difference he made and
10:40he signed Kulishevsky signed Bentecourt he got the best out of Bergwijn, Bergwijn won them one or two
10:45games so I mean of course they can do it do it in the Champions League they have a decent team so
10:51I'm very hopeful of Antonio Conte he's a fantastic manager and the way he motivates his players you
10:56see it on the pitch itself it's not only inside the dressing room how motivated he is he bumps his
11:02players up and if a player is sad he knows how to even though get the best out of them so
11:08they've done a fantastic job and they deserve to be in the Champions League.
11:12Shamsher how do you think they're going to do next season Champions League with Conte there with
11:16Son playing so well Harry Kane the new boys that Sahil just mentioned there obviously there's
11:20going to be some couple new signings as well how far can he take them in the Champions League and
11:24how far can he take them in the Premier League as well next season because they only finished
11:28three points off third place three points behind Chelsea in the end okay they're miles away from
11:33Liverpool and Man City like we've just discussed but can he close that gap and get Tottenham
11:38challenging further up the table? It all depends on Levy it all depends on Tottenham's honour
11:45if he backs Conte because he has to back Conte, Conte is the you know Conte is so underrated to
11:51be honest you know he should be in the same breath as Liverpool's manager like Jurgen Klopp
11:57and Pep Guardiola because he has won titles in Italy and in Premier League and you know he
12:04he is not someone who just goes to any team with talented players and win the league over there
12:10he builds a team he builds a legacy but it's for short term but still he does his magic in
12:15very short term and he he wins titles and like the first question that you asked whether he's
12:21gonna do good in the Champions League he's not a good he hasn't got a good record in the
12:26Champions League to be honest with even with Juventus, Inter or Chelsea he hasn't done that
12:31great in cup competitions he has won a FA Cup for Chelsea but during the cup competitions he
12:36he doesn't usually do well but in the leagues he has shown what he can do even with Inter
12:42with Juventus with Chelsea but it all depends on the Spurs owner how is he going to spend because
12:48if if he's not giving the money to to Conte then he's he might even step down from that position
12:54so it all depends on Levy but if he gives him the money he can really push Liverpool and Man City
13:00they might not win it but he can really push them. Yeah you're right he's got that in him to
13:06to just get the best out of the players that he's got with a couple of new additions you never know
13:09how far they could go. Arsenal unfortunately for them they missed out in the Champions League even
13:13though they played really well today they scored five they could have scored a lot more. Everton
13:17we were on the beach obviously having a five relegation on Thursday you could tell mentally
13:21the players just weren't there we had a lot of injuries in fact we had a lot of players missing
13:25probably from partying too late the other night but that's the Champions League. Sahil got to talk
13:31about Man United they've ended the season with a whimper they lost that Crystal Palace what deal
13:37that was Rannick's last game in charge Eric ten Haag was at the was at Southwark Park watching
13:42the game do you think he's got a lot of work more work than he thought he had at Old Trafford to
13:47sort that mess out? I mean nobody needs to say he knows himself he has a lot of work to do after
13:54seeing such a great performance from Man United oh my god that was horrendous like the two weeks
14:00ago what we saw in Brighton that was 4-0 luckily they got only 1-0 with the the team they put in
14:06was just a very below average team okay let's be honest cannot expect Cavani to come back and just
14:12score goals it was his last game in the United shirt he's done his bit but you know Man United
14:17have a lot of work as you said Eric ten Haag has a lot of work to do and Ralph Rannick had mentioned
14:22this a few weeks ago that maybe 10 players can join the club 10 players that is a huge amount
14:28this is what Ralph Rannick said and you know I will not blame Ralph Rannick for this poor season not
14:33at all it's the players that's all Ralph Rannick for me is a good manager he knows what he's doing
14:40he's not a dumb guy he knows what he's doing it's the players itself the attitude of the players are
14:45just is just poor and they're not good players they're absolutely average players or below average
14:51there might be some big names but only three four big names cannot win you the match it has to be
14:56the 11 in the pitch so I will not blame Ralph Rannick at all he exposed Man United completely
15:02he told where are the problems and yes I'm hopeful for Eric ten Haag to do a decent job
15:08so I'm sure like he says he'll says 10 possible 10 new signings if you bring that many players in
15:14obviously we know I mean these players they don't just automatically find the positions and start
15:18playing brilliantly they take time to settle down it looks like it's going to be a quite a transitional
15:23period for Man United I mean what do you expect from the next season another sixth place top six
15:28sort of finish what do you think they'll struggle next season it's going to be a tall order for
15:33Eric ten Haag to be honest because like what you mentioned if you bring in like 10 players
15:37you remember Aston Villa under Dean Smith they brought in like 10 players in one window and they
15:41really struggled for it so it's not only about bringing in players they have to bring in the
15:46right players first of all that is a big thing for them because for their recruitment when you
15:51look at it they have spent almost similar to Man City in the last few years but look what City has
15:57done with that money and look what Man United has done with that money so you have to spend it
16:02wisely you have to spend it on the right players this is the same message that I'll give it to the
16:06new owners of Chelsea as well because it's you don't need to spend like maybe 100 million on
16:11one player maybe you can split it up you can spend it on wisely on the better players that is suiting
16:17the system of the manager so you have to really you know believe in the manager and you have to
16:22give him the place that he actually wants so Eric ten Haag he is coming definitely with a lot of
16:28pressure on his head because it's a huge job for him it's Manchester United the whole world is going
16:33to watch you and he hasn't got an experience outside the Eredivisire which we have already
16:39talked about so it's a huge task it's a huge rebuilding task next season they should aim for
16:45the top four I believe if they don't get the top four even then it wouldn't be a problem I would
16:51believe because it's still a rebuilding task they have to treat it as a process you know basically
16:56it should be like a three-year process and the rebuild is going to take at least two years
17:01because a new manager coming in he has his own philosophy he has a Pep Guardiola kind of a
17:07philosophy guy so to implement that style into these players it's going to take time man you
17:12have to give him time but time is a lot of you know luxury at Manchester United I don't think
17:19he'll get enough time if he doesn't get the results from the very beginning because
17:23the pressure is too much in that job that's absolutely right the patience I mean the board
17:28the fans everyone's gonna have to be really patient with this guy they've obviously you know
17:32singled him out they wanted him to went out and got him he's obviously proven himself with Ajax
17:36but you're right he's untested anywhere else I just have one thing to say about
17:43I just have like you know it's going to be another big test how to handle Cristiano Ronaldo
17:47out of the Champions League he's not there in the Champions League and Cristiano Ronaldo has
17:51missed the Champions League so how will Cristiano Ronaldo be happy without the Champions League
17:57will he be happy playing the Europa don't know look he's he's 30 he's gonna be 37 soon so I mean
18:04he's clearly coming towards the end of his career do you even think for the sake of his own personal
18:09career for King another Champions League he could even possibly leave by United and just
18:13want to get one more Champions League in there do you think absolutely he might leave also you
18:17never know but suppose he stays but how to keep Cristiano Ronaldo happy it's Cristiano Ronaldo
18:22he's a big player he's a big name so that's the big big big task I mean if the guy has the talent
18:28he is Cristiano Ronaldo finest striker in the world how to keep him happy will be a big deal
18:33I have to add on to that and if you take him out of the 11 even then he'll not be happy because
18:38he's at the age of 37 and uh Eric ten Hag will be coming with his own philosophy and he might need
18:44his striker to press and all these things yes Cristiano Ronaldo will deliver goals but he has
18:50to do certain other aspects of the game as well so maybe ten Hag will use him as a big part player
18:56like he'll use another striker as well so is he gonna cope with that because lesser minutes
19:01Cristiano Ronaldo won't be happy because he always wants to be there in the first 11
19:05that's absolutely right he won't be happy he'll still want to be he still want to play every
19:09single game and 90 minutes as well and to his credit he's got 18 Premier League goals this
19:13season he's got 24 all together he's United's top scorer again so clearly he can still uh you know
19:19do the business but whether or not uh Eric ten Hag fancies him to play much of the season or just
19:25is he going to come off from the bench we'll have to see he was missing today for with a suspicious
19:29hip injury or was he out there already with his agent trying to get a move who knows I guess we'll
19:34know soon enough but uh okay so that's the Champions League Europa spots done dusted but
19:39there was one final thing to do to decide today on that final day of the season it was the last
19:44relegation spot and unfortunately it was Burnley who have been relegated after they lost at home
19:502-1 against Newcastle they were uh battling Leeds for that final spot to avoid the drop
19:55and in the end Leeds beat Brentford 2-1 they've survived and I think uh that's probably quite
20:01good for the Premier League it's nice to have Leeds back anyway they'd been away for a good
20:05two decades they finally came back when they did and they've survived and with the team that
20:10they've got with the players the way they play the way Jesse Mars likes to play as well I think
20:14they could they should improve next season don't you think definitely definitely and I wanted Burnley
20:22to go down for the obvious reason which we have already discussed because the way that they have
20:27sacked Sean Dyche they deserve to go down so they have down and I don't think they'll be coming
20:32back anytime soon because like what Sahil mentioned in previous videos championship is very difficult
20:38league to win so it'll be very difficult for them to come back because there are so many teams will
20:42be looking to come back to the Premier League as well so I'm happy that Burnley are down and happy
20:48that Leeds are there because with all the rivalry the United Leeds rivalry the Chelsea Leeds rivalry
20:54Ellen Road is a buzzing ground you know you need to go there and play your football
20:58it's it's a delight to watch football over there so Leeds are there and it's a good good for the
21:02Premier League as well good for the rivalry good for the football as well and they play
21:05some good football as well so it's all about it yeah the play room please that it's Burnley and
21:11not Leeds that have gone down yeah like Shamsher said you know it's always nice to see Leeds it's
21:16a fun team as he said there are some rivalries Leeds have with other teams but now for Leeds
21:21it'll be a good thing that you know suppose if they want to sell Rafinha or Calvin Phillips they
21:25can get some good money because they're in the Premier League if they'd gone to the championship
21:29they would get nothing for them Rafinha what a player Calvin Phillips a top class midfielder
21:34if they sell them they will get some good money and sign some other players
21:38and my boy Dan James also stays in the Premier League so I'm happy for him also
21:45good players there I mean the players that you mentioned Rafinha, Dan James definitely
21:48Harrison there's some good players there and you know with the season that they've had
21:52they can get a chance now to rebuild with the new coach there you know he's still finding his feet
21:57at the club but clearly he likes to play on the front foot and yeah Leeds could I don't think
22:02they'll struggle next season I think they'll they should finish around you know 12th position
22:06around about there so it's yeah I agree it's good that they've stayed in the Premier League
22:11Burnley have been there for a long time but they've not done anything let's be honest what do they do
22:15they turn up they struggle it comes down to the last couple of games of the season and they
22:19survive but this time they've gone down and you're right guys it's going to be very hard for them to
22:24come back up it could be a while before we see them coming back up because in the championship
22:28there's some very good teams coming up desperate for that you know chance to play in the Premier
22:32League so yeah like Leeds you know took a long time to come back up it could be a while before
22:38we see Burnley coming back up let's quickly talk about the golden boot because Mo Salah scored
22:43today he got 23 goals and Son got a couple today he's also got 23 goals so looks like they're
22:49gonna have to share that award but between the two of them who would you rather have played
22:53for your team Salah or Son? Sahil you go first. Oh it's not easy to answer no I want to say both
23:02I like both of them for obvious reasons both have their own qualities Son obviously has a better
23:08weak foot Salah's stronger and got a better acceleration so I cannot choose between them
23:13they're both the top players both of them deserve it I mean Salah in the last few games has been
23:18quiet but like Son throughout carrying this team he's done well so I cannot choose between these
23:23two top top players great players. Oh he can't even choose Shamsher you gotta choose choose one
23:29I have to choose Son man because Salah was already a Chelsea player before
23:37good point good point so I have to choose Son now because Salah has been a missed opportunity for us
23:42but Son has done his dream today because he's sharing the golden boot that means the first
23:48Asian player to do that in the Premier League not only in the Premier League you look in the top
23:52five leagues he's the first Asian player to win a golden boot that is a massive achievement for a
23:59player like Son who is coming from South Korea and I think the one guy who has done previously
24:04is an Iranian guy that Yehan Vash who has won the golden boot in Eredivisa. Eredivisa is not a top
24:11five league he was playing for Alkmar I believe so it's an incredible achievement that is from
24:17Son and he hasn't scored a single penalty unbelievable because the penalties taker for
24:22Spurs is Harry Kane. 23 Premier League goals without scoring a penalty is incredible and that
24:28too yeah that's that's absolutely massive he should be given the golden boot straightly for
24:33that because Salah has scored some penalties as well but anyway both have been shared no problem
24:39both have been shared but that's a hell of a good point right at the end there definitely
24:44getting that many goals playing in a struggling team as well let's not forget Liverpool have been
24:47challenging for the top and Salah has been surrounded by quality players all around
24:51whereas Son has already got Harry Kane and the two new additions that Conti brought in so to you
24:56know to get to get that many goals you're right it's a hell of a good achievement well that's it
25:01guys the season might be over but the transfer gossip starts what do you think who do you think
25:06is going to be the biggest signing can you see for example Lewandowski coming to the Premier League
25:13I think the talks about Lewandowski is basically going to Barca and Barca is battling for his
25:18signature and he wants Barca so I don't think he can he'll be coming to Premier League he's
25:23Barca bound but there will be some massive signings happening like Chomeni is a next big
25:28thing so Chomeni could come to Liverpool or PSG or these these kind of transfers could happen
25:33and the biggest thing that we heard was that Kylian Mbappe staying at PSG that was a bigger
25:38transfer drama that we saw already but a lot more are there to come because every team
25:43Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool City all are going to make signings even Spurs, Arsenal
25:48everyone needs players Newcastle United they need players and there is a revolution happening
25:54and they are going to be a big team next season because they're going to make some few signings
25:58and they'll be a pain in the backside for other Premier League teams because they'll have
26:01aspiration to finish in the top six top four so it's going to be one hell of a season that is
26:06coming up next in the Premier League and you have a World Cup also in between so it's going to be
26:10incredible season that's going to be very interesting because the World Cup obviously
26:14comes in between the season it starts in Qatar in at the end of November so all the domestic
26:20European leagues are going to be taking a break for the World Cup how that's going to be with the
26:24with the lead-up of the tournament are the players going to you know play a little bit slower be a
26:28bit more careful maybe avoid those 50 50 challenges so they can play at the World Cup and when they
26:33come back from the World Cup how tired are they going to be it's going to make it for a very
26:38fascinating season we've got plenty to talk about obviously as the season starts up again but in the
26:43meantime that's in for for tonight's chat just to recount Man City are the champions Tottenham have
26:49made the Premier League and Burnley have been relegated thanks guys we'll see you all again
26:54soon take care and good night
