00:00I play golf basically because I just really enjoy it.

00:08It's good fun, you get to meet really interesting people, and I really like the challenge of

00:14it.

00:15There's always something that you can do to improve, there's always something to work

00:18on basically.

00:22I got into golf properly when I was about 11 or 12, my whole family played and if I

00:27didn't join them, then I was just going to get left at home on my own, so I was a bit

00:32reluctant to start playing golf, but after a little bit of effort and a bit of enthusiasm

00:38from me, I got a lot better, which really helped me get involved in the sport a little

00:42bit more.

00:44After about two years of reluctantly playing, I got quite a lot better, and I'm very competitive,

00:53so then I actually could compete with my brother, my dad and my mum, which made it a lot more

00:58enjoyment for me out of it.

01:02The golfing scene in Dubai is very diverse, you get people from all walks of life playing

01:06golf here.

01:07You meet people doing all sorts of jobs, it's really interesting, the amount of people that

01:12you get to meet.

01:13Very, very competitive in the ladies, there's a lot of really, really good juniors, they're

01:19all kind of going off to universities in America, some little superstars up and coming.

01:25I've been to most of the DP World Tour tournaments over here, Dubai, Desert Classic, obviously

01:31the DP World Tour tournament that's here, I've also been to the one at Yas Links for

01:36HSBC.

01:37The only one that I haven't actually been to is the one at Ras Al Khaimah, it's a new

01:41one.

01:42I think there was two consecutive ones last year, but I haven't actually been there yet,

01:45so hopefully we'll get a chance to go this year.

01:48They're really, really good tournaments, well-organised, there's always lots of stuff to do in the

01:53Tented Village, and it's great fun to see all of the pros playing these courses.

01:57It's a really, really good destination to come and play golf, obviously you've got loads

02:03of amazing golf courses within half an hour of each other, and then you've got great hotels

02:09as well to go with it, so you can't really go wrong.
