00:00Two strong earthquakes were recorded by PIVOX this morning in Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas.
00:06At 8.29 this morning, magnitude 4.9 earthquake hit Masbate.
00:11The earthquake episode was recorded in the south-eastern part of Claveria, Masbate,
00:16with a tectonic origin and a depth of 10 kilometers.
00:20Until intensity 4, the earthquake felt strong in some parts of Masbate up to Sorsogon and other parts of Albay.
00:30At 9.18 this morning, PIVOX recorded magnitude 5.2 earthquake in Eastern Samar.
00:37The earthquake episode was recorded in the north-eastern part of Hernani, Eastern Samar,
00:43with a tectonic origin and a depth of 10 kilometers.
00:48Until intensity 5, the earthquake felt strong in Eastern Samar and some parts of Northern Samar and Southern Leyte.
00:56No one expected the earthquake to be a disaster, but the aftershocks were expected.
