Pakistani driver who won Dh50 million turns real estate tycoon in UAE

00:05What would you do if you won 50 million dirhams?

00:09Well, I'm here to speak with Mr. Junaid Rana,

00:13who won 50 million dirhams.

00:15Yes, you heard it right.

00:17A whopping 50 million dirhams last year.

00:20And we are here to talk to him

00:23on what he has done with that winning money.

00:26Every time my salary is coming, date 22.

00:28So that time, that month, they send us on day 23rd.

00:34So evening time, Saturday evening,

00:37around six o'clock or seven o'clock,

00:39I was sitting in the car,

00:40I was about to buy something for,

00:43something for house shopping or something.

00:45Then when I saw credit card and I saw my mobile,

00:48so at the same time I took the token, LINE for Mehzoos.

00:52And I just sent, randomly I select the numbers.

00:55I did not select some, this number is my data,

00:58but no, nothing.

00:58I just select the tick, tick, tick, tick, tick.

01:00And I close my eyes and select the last number.

01:03It was 46.

01:05So I just took the screenshot of the LINE

01:10and I forget about it.

01:11I went home, I was tired, I went home

01:13and I just sleep there.

01:15Because every time whenever I'm taking the token,

01:17I'm watching the live show for Mehzoos.

01:20Who won, who's winning, who's not.

01:22So that day I did not see.

01:25I slept, morning as usual I'm going at work, 6.30.

01:28So I went for my work, 6.30.

01:31The security guy told me,

01:32today somebody won 50 million dirhams.

01:35So I said, he must be a lucky guy, who won?

01:38He said, there's no photo but some Asian guy.

01:41In the news it's written,

01:42some Asian guy, he won 50 million dirhams.

01:45I said, wow, he's a lucky guy.

01:46I never won a single LINE.

01:48Like if you match three numbers out of six,

01:51you'll get free tickets for next entry.

01:53I never won that.

01:55All the time I'm getting one number match

01:56or two number match, never three number.

01:59So I said, wow man,

02:00there's people who's winning 50 million dirhams,

02:02that's great.

02:03So same time I said, I also bought the ticket yesterday.

02:09So when I tried to open my Mehzoos account, it was blocked.

02:13I don't know something, some issues there.

02:15Or maybe they blocked.

02:17So it was blocked.

02:18I couldn't open my Mehzoos LINE to see the number

02:21because I don't remember the numbers also.

02:24So I remember I took the screenshot.

02:28When I took the screenshot, I opened the screenshot

02:30and I matched the number, it was same.

02:33Then I couldn't believe that the number matched all together.

02:36So the security guy was like jumping.

02:39Oh, my brother, you won, oh.

02:41I said, no, it's fake, it's fake news, no, no.

02:44I cannot win.

02:46Then I realized, yeah, maybe I can win

02:48because the numbers are same.

02:51Then I called my brother, same time.

02:54He was sleeping, he go work around 10, 11.

02:58So it was six, seven morning.

03:00I called him.

03:01I said, brother, he said, yeah.

03:04I said, I won.

03:05He said, what you won?

03:06I said, 50 million.

03:07He said, don't joke with me.

03:09Because nobody trusts you.

03:10Like if you win 50 million,

03:11you tell to someone that you won 50 million.

03:14So I told him I win 50 million.

03:16Then he said, don't joke.

03:18Then I send him the screenshot of my LINE, my token.

03:23And the winning numbers.

03:25I send him both.

03:26Then later on, he called me that,

03:28huh, you won.

03:30I said, yes, I won.

03:31So that was very nice story.

03:34That's it.

03:35Then because of that security guy,

03:37I come to know that I won some money.

03:40Now he's also happy.

03:41I have given him something.

03:42So then after that, the process on like,

03:45how long does it take for you to get the money?

03:48The first installment, they send me after maybe 15 days.

03:5210 million.

03:54Then every 10 days, five days, seven days,

03:57they're sending me the rest of the money.

03:59Because it's big money, they cannot send it once.

04:02So when did you get the total?

04:04Within one and a half month,

04:06I got all money, all the winning prize.

04:09Wow, that's amazing.

04:11So what did you do with that money?

04:13I bought, first my dream car, I bought GTR.

04:18And for my brother, I bought Toyota Supra.

04:22I bought house in Dubai, in Varsan Villas.

04:28And I bought house back in my country as well.

04:31Biggest house, you can say.

04:33Also turned a real estate investor?

04:35Yes, yes.

04:36In Pakistan, not in Dubai.

04:37But I have properties here in Dubai as well.

04:39But I'm doing all the jobs in Pakistan only.

04:42With my other brother.

04:43He's my partner, he's my brother.

04:45So are you only into real estate investment?

04:48For now, yeah.

04:49But later on, maybe I'll see some other business also.

04:52Have you spent all your money?

04:53No, no.

04:55Still I have like, you can say 15, 20.

04:59What about for your children's future?

05:02I saved a good amount for them.

05:06How many children do you have?

05:07For now, I have three children.

05:09But about to come new one, inshallah, very soon.

05:13I'm the poor one in the family that time.

05:16But because of me, now they have big, big houses

05:20in Pakistan and they own properties like plazas

05:24where they can get every month good income.

05:27So I bought for them everything, yeah.

05:29Because family comes first.

05:32And I love my family more than anything.

05:34As you see, Junaid has done much good use to his money.

05:40And obviously he has changed the lives

05:43of his loved ones as well.

05:45And his journey has also taken a 180 degrees turn

05:52to the positive.
