00:00The following is the story of the winner of the NSL Super League.
00:07Two NSL Super League nutball clinics met fans at Bukit Kiara Stadium on Saturday,
00:11and watched the students gathering for the third week's game in the evening.
00:17About 150 participants came with the same mission,
00:21which is to become one day national athletes.
00:24The third time the NSL clinics won the championship was after the national competition
00:28held in Penang at UNI10.
00:29In Iskandar Putri, Johor was honoured with the title of International Student Representative from Penang.
00:34Various intensive training sessions were used as self-guided modules for the participants
00:39to feel the real experience under the guidance of professional coaches.
00:46We're currently a school in Penang.
00:48I used to live in KL, so I know a number of the girls that are playing are involved.
00:53We've started a netball team at school,
00:55and I really wanted to bring them down here to experience some really good quality netball
01:00and really see what it's like when students play to a really high level.
01:04I used to play for a team in KL, so I know a few of the old players.
01:08I've really seen the league improve in the last few years,
01:12and it's been wonderful to watch it on Astro and to be here and see it live this afternoon too.
01:16The students are really excited to have that opportunity.
01:19We're going to watch the two games this afternoon, and they're here for the clinic.
01:22It's great. They've got nine different students from nine different countries united by netball,
01:27so it's really exciting.
01:28Absolutely. We don't have a huge number of opportunities in Penang,
01:31so it's really nice for them to come here and be able to be a part of this
01:34and see how netball's growing in Malaysia as well.
01:37I'm really proud of them. They have such energy and enthusiasm.
01:40They're really new to the game, and they really enjoy it.
01:43They've got a real love for it in the way it's bonded them together.
01:46It's just what sport's all about, and seeing sport for girls in Malaysia really grow
01:51just really makes me feel really good about the future too.
01:55I learned a lot about the shooting, how satu hand, not dua, and how then, and then flick.
02:06I started playing umur saya lapan tahun in Hong Kong,
02:16and I've been playing for eight years now, no, seven years now.
02:22And we go to games, and now we're here, and it's cool.
02:26I want to continue playing.
02:28My coach, she has lots of opportunities set up for us,
02:32and she wants to take us to Netball Fabicia in Singapore.
02:38I think the environment here is so good.
02:42Everyone here is here to play netball,
02:46and it's so fun to see everyone else who loves netball just as much as I do.
02:51So in Penang, there's lots of netball, and we're all so excited to come here to KL
02:58to watch the games later and participate in the clinic.
