00:00I hate to break it to you, but your surroundings are currently stalking you.
00:03Here's a look at the neck of toys. This is the Prey Ultimate Camo Reveal Predator.
00:30Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, the thrilling movie Prey is the story of a young
00:38woman Nauru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior who has been raised in the shadow of some of the
00:43most legendary hunters in the Great Plains. When danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect
00:48her people. The prey she stalks and ultimately confronts turn out to be a highly evolved alien
00:53predator with a technologically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown
00:59between the two adversaries. This ultimate feral predator is detailed to depict his creature in
01:04camouflage technology and appearance. Standing in 7-inch scale, it comes loaded with accessories,
01:09bone mask, bear trap, wolf head and spine, hatchet bombs, medical device, flintlock pistol,
01:15wolf skull, magnetic backpack, wrist blades, gauntlets, cut clamps, interchangeable heads,
01:20and mandibles. How can a warrior prepare for battle when their opponent is blending in the
01:25background? Before though we get a closer look at the ultimate Camo Reveal Predator from the movie
01:29Prey, this is also as well a 2024 con exclusive. Backing up a bit, I'd like to thank the folks over
01:35at NECA that were kind enough to provide the sample we could have a look at. At one point
01:39though, the Camo Reveal Predator was available on their site for $39.99, too good of a price,
01:44and unfortunately this guy has since sold out. We're going to go ahead though and take the tape
01:48measure and see how tall the figure stands. For the most part though, he is using already the,
01:52well we've looked at this figure now twice before, it's using essentially the same feral body,
01:56although they've tweaked a few parts. We're going to talk about those details more in a moment.
02:00First though, the Camo Reveal Predator is nine inches in height, or standing roughly at 22 and
02:05a half centimeters tall. So wait, you're saying we've gotten this mold before? Sure am. In fact,
02:09actually we've already had a look at both the original feral predator and the follow-up release
02:13to that, the ultimate bear blood predator. For the most part again, they are using most of the body.
02:18There are a few little tweaks to some of the things he's actually carrying on the back of his body,
02:21we're going to talk about a little bit more of that in a moment, and it also has the same
02:25swappable mandibles that has been released with every copy. While yes, this is the third time
02:29we've gotten the feral mold, NECA though has found a way with each of the subsequent releases
02:33to include accessories that weren't with the previous release. So things that you'll find,
02:36for example, with the Camo Reveal haven't already been packed with the bear blood feral predator,
02:40and for that matter weren't already packed with the OG release either. The figure first of all
02:44does come included with 10 interchangeable hands. The hands themselves, he already has four pairs
02:49over here, and then of course he does have devil horns on the ends of his forearms. That was a
02:52terrible devil horns. On the ends of his forearms, he already has dynamic hands. Those can so easily
02:57be swapped out for the closed gripped hands instead. The figure does also come included
03:02with a couple of wider grip hands suitable for holding the predator bombs. He also has a couple
03:07of trigger firing finger hands for good for holding the flintlock pistol. Yes, that is one of the
03:11included accessories, and he also comes included with slightly smaller gripped hands good for
03:16holding the cut clamps. The figure does also have those as well. Let's look at some of the
03:21accessories here. I guess what do we really want to start with? Well, the figure first of all does
03:24come included with the actual wolf spine. Something that again has been unique to this figure that
03:29hasn't made any other appearances in any other release of the feral predator. Of course, what we
03:34get for the head for the wolf is a sad wolf. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any body. I'm here
03:40all day. The body is this might be the first time we've gotten ourselves an animal trophy. I mean,
03:46we will always get like the skull trophies kind of adorning the bodies of these predators,
03:49but this might though be the first time we've actually got ourselves a skinned trophy,
03:53and it's pretty gruesome. You can see what's left at least of the wolf, and then of course,
03:57the remaining of his body is completely gone all the way. One thing that's kind of neat though,
04:01too, is that they also include the actual wolf skull. So you can kind of see like if you were
04:06to take away Wolfie's... what's the matter with Wolfie? He's barking. I don't think Wolfie's
04:10barking much at all, but if you were to take away the fur and the skin, this basically would be
04:14looking like underneath. Somewhat though ironic the fact that they also include the bloodied wolf
04:19skull, because it's actually still present though on the back of the camel reveal predator. What's
04:25actually rather interesting though about that is to bring back in the bear blood predator,
04:28he never had actually the wolf skull on the back of that. So if anything, they could have maybe
04:33found a way to use this body, because of course, we already got ourselves the wolf head right over
04:37here. The figure does also come included with... what else can we look at? He comes with a bear
04:42trap. We see, of course, him stepping on the bear trap and hurting himself throughout the movie.
04:47The bear trap does have a real chain, which is really nice to see. Unfortunately, it doesn't
04:51open though, so it's a non-functioning bear trap, which is probably a good idea, so you don't want
04:55to get your finger caught in that. If I don't end up using this for the feral predator, I could so
04:59most definitely use this, I think, for the remake Jason Voorhees. Oh, I'm getting some ideas here.
05:04Yeah, unfortunately, while it doesn't open up, it's still a really neat non-functioning accessory.
05:10Glad to see that they included that. Of course, the feral predator also still manages to pull off
05:14his camouflaged backpack on the back. You can see it does have the magnets, so that's just
05:18going to attach on the back of his body. You want to do that now? Okay, we'll do that now.
05:21Just attach it on the back. I mean, you could turn it if you want. I think it actually, in the movie,
05:25he actually has it more on an angle, but you can have it either way if you want. If you turn it
05:28this way though, I mean, I guess you could have it this way. It doesn't really matter. It doesn't
05:31really matter. It's magnetically attached. That's the thing that matters the most. The figure does
05:35also come included with his little medical spray. He sprays this actually on his arm. It's small of
05:41an accessory. It does have some pretty decent paint, though, for how small the accessory is.
05:46I guess, really, too, if you look at the proper hands, where's the hand that we want to use for
05:49that? You want to use the small grip hand. Yeah, say, for example, the one that has the smallest
05:54grip seems to be the best one for holding the medical spray. He also, of course, does come
06:00included with the predator bombs. I think these bombs are the ones that deploy the nets. They're
06:05cast here in what seems to be black plastic. There seems to be maybe just a little bit of
06:08weathering that they've added on to that, as well. If we find the hand that holds those, you get
06:13this gripping hand here. You can wedge it so easily in between the thumb and the fingers, and it's not
06:18going to go anywhere. He also comes, of course, included with the flintlock pistol, which is one
06:24disappointment, though, for Prey. While I really loved the movie Prey, they didn't really find a
06:28way to properly connect this to Predator 2. So, really, we don't know, though, how the flintlock
06:33pistol then gets into the hands of the Predator and the end of Predator 2. It's still well painted,
06:38though. It's cast, I'm guessing, here in brown plastic. The flint on the top there is painted in
06:42silver, and, of course, the back of the handle here is done nicely in a very shiny gold.
06:47He, of course, does also have a hand for holding that, as well.
06:51Or, I guess, really, too, if you make... I was just finished talking about the fact he does have
06:55trigger-firing finger hands. Yeah, you can actually get the finger somewhat on the trigger, and you
06:59can hold it that way, as well. Or, I guess, you can also have him displayed where he's kind of
07:04handing off the flintlock pistol. He does also come with a gauntlet here. Now, looking at the
07:09gauntlet, initially, I thought this would be something that you would swap out the gauntlet
07:13that he has on the ends of his forearms. Just wiggle that off and pop this in place instead.
07:18What's different, though, between them is, if you look at the Predator's gauntlet now,
07:23see how he actually has the bottom of it? It's still closed. Whereas, if you look at this one,
07:28it opens up, and I think these are the little drones that he's got sitting inside of them.
07:33So, I thought, hey, that's cool. Could there be a way to swap these out? Well, it doesn't seem to
07:38be the case. First of all, if you remove the hand from the Predator, just wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
07:42You don't have to wiggle, but just wiggle the hand from the post. There we go. If you look at, first
07:47of all, the size of the hole, see how the hole is a lot smaller? Because it has to accommodate the
07:51peg for the hand. If you look at this hole, though, it's way too big. Also, too, you can't seem to take
07:57the gauntlet off at all. So, I think that's actually more for a prop than anything else,
08:02because I think, actually, in the movie, he takes this off, and he just lays it on the ground.
08:05So, while there not being really a way to incorporate that with the actual Predator,
08:09not that bad, though, the fact that they found a way to include that accessory. Let's just put
08:13his hand back in place. The figure does also come included, of course, with his gauntlet blades.
08:18Now, while we are looking at all the things that he comes included with, the things that he actually
08:22won't come included with is, like, for his combi stick. The combi stick, both versions,
08:26the retracted and the extendable, were released in the original release, and I think, also,
08:29the Bare Blood Predator had that as well. This one doesn't have it, nor does it actually have
08:34the shield either. So, between really collectively getting all the three Feral Predators, you would
08:38have all the accessories you would really need. So, of course, you got yourself the actual blades
08:43there. The blades themselves would just attach onto his gauntlets. So, let's go ahead and pick
08:47the figure up right now. If you look at the end of the gauntlet, see how these little slits right
08:51here? Can you see them? I hope you can see them right there. There. There. Just take your blades
08:56and just sort of fit your, as best as you can, fit them into place.
09:00Now, when you are doing this from time to time, especially when it comes to rotating his hands,
09:04you might find that the blades pop off in the process, but they sit well enough in there,
09:08providing you don't bang them at all. The last thing that he comes included with before, well,
09:13I guess that's not one. There's one other thing. There's one other thing. The figure does also
09:16come included with the little cut clamps. Now, the cut clamps don't actually attach onto the
09:20figure's body. He actually just more or less carries these around with him. He just uses
09:23them as melee weapons. Again, the first time we've gotten the clamp cut clamps was actually
09:29with this release. They haven't made any releases with the other two Feral Predators. Lastly,
09:34lastly, I know there's a whole lot to kind of cover off here. He also comes included with the
09:38hatchet. Hatch is a nice little accessory. Not sure really if I'm going to ever display it with
09:43the figure, because I think even in the movie, this gets literally thrown at him. I think he
09:47actually throws it back. He didn't even want it. I do want it, though. I do like the look of that.
09:51If I don't decide to display this, though, with the Feral Predator, careful, careful. If I don't
09:56decide to display this with the Feral Predator, I'm most likely probably display this with another
10:00killer instead. Maybe somebody for Thanksgiving can maybe carry this around with them instead.
10:05Okay, so that's all the accessories, except for obviously the two other things. The figure also
10:10has mandibles. I guess, first of all, what we'll do is we'll just take the blades off here, just
10:14so that they don't fall off. Let's also just remove the backpack, which again is super easy to do.
10:19So the figure, like with the other two, does also come included with two other mandible options.
10:24So getting him out of the packaging, first of all, he has this stock closed mandible look,
10:28which is for the most part how I usually have the regular OG look of the Feral Predator display. I
10:33mean like if you look to look at the two, these are probably the ones that are the most closest
10:37in comparisons, right down to the fact that if you look in the back of his body,
10:42some of the things like, for example, he is missing the Predator bomb. So the OG would have had that.
10:46The Predator Camo Reveal now has that missing, because of course he does come included while
10:50they're over there, the Predator bombs. Still, it's kind of strange though that they kept the
10:54wolf head, because again, that's one of the accessories that come included with them.
10:57But for the most part, he is somewhat the most closest to the OG Predator. If to bring back in
11:02the Blood Predator, you can see the bare blood doesn't have the Predator bomb, doesn't have the
11:07wolf head. Most of all of his accessories are removed, which again, I would have thought that
11:12this would have been the mold that they would have chosen instead of going with the OG. Still
11:15though, even though it is the OG, they have still removed some of the accessories like this one
11:19right here. Anyways though, I mean for the mandible options, the figure does, like I said,
11:24have the closed variety. Of course, he does still have the shell on the top of his head. You can
11:27easily pop that off if you want. Everything, as you can see, is using translucent clear plastic.
11:34There's what it looks like. It's a little harder, obviously, to make that out. Maybe if I get the
11:37studio light to hit that just right, you could probably see some of the finer features. Although
11:42the features aren't a little finer, because obviously there's no paint on them. Now he has
11:46that look. He does also have a slightly wider open mouth. So again, to change out the head,
11:51if you're familiar with these already, I know you basically just hold on to the top of the head and
11:56just wiggle this. So instead of actually pulling it out, you want to pull it down.
12:02Then we'll go ahead and take the mandible that we want to use, pop that in place. If you're also
12:06thinking, oh I don't know, clear plastic, is that a good idea? You can see probably that the plastic
12:10is pretty soft. So it has a little give to it. It's less likely to break. Now with this mandible, of
12:16course, you can still put on the tortoise shell there too. So he still has that look. Or if you
12:21want to go with the widest look, he also has these mandibles too. If I've got it obviously
12:27flipped the right way. Again, we'll just kind of pop this off, replace it with the one that we want
12:32to go with. Now for my own personal collection, I wanted to have the predators having unique looks
12:38to them. I mean, already the OG has full paint, the bareblood had a lot of blood all over his body,
12:43but I still kind of wanted to keep the mandibles different from one another. What I might just do
12:47is settle on the idea of maybe the, I don't know, maybe the OG will have the open mouth like this,
12:54the bareblood will have the wider mouth, and maybe with this one I might just choose to have the
12:58mouth closed, which is kind of really hard to make out which side is which. It's this side,
13:02this side here. Of course now with this in place, let's go ahead and put the shell back on top of
13:06his head. I don't think I'd ever find a way to really display these figures without the shell.
13:10I think it's one of the things that adds to his character really. Now the thing that's interesting
13:15though with this version of the camel reveal predator is that while he is still using a clear
13:21translucent plastic, there is a lot of things that are changed here. Instead of his reveal being
13:26covered by bare blood, his reveal instead is actually through damage. So you can see a lot
13:30of the materialization of what his body would look like. I love the way that first of all,
13:35in the center of all these things is the main color reveal, but then around that though is
13:39sort of the digitized reveal of basically how it's un-camoing. I know that's not really a word.
13:44He's got that though all across the top of his head. He's got that on the front of his chest
13:48here too. If we just kind of move his hair out of the way here, he's got it down the side of his arm.
13:53His gauntlets though are about the only thing that actually has a full reveal. I shouldn't
13:56say that. He also has the lower legs that also are a full reveal, but other things though are
14:01just sort of more suggested patches. So he's got on the side of his leg, it actually kind of looks
14:05like a cross between a honeycomb and a burn mark. He's got that there on the side and the back of
14:09his body as well. There's a lot of good stuff going in here for really a figure that you're
14:13not seeing as much of a chance. Well, you're not getting as much of a chance to see all the details
14:17as you would with like the bear blood for example. The articulation on this guy is going to be
14:21exactly the same. So if you're familiar with the other two, you'll be familiar with this guy as
14:25well. Head's going to be on a ball joint, so it's going to allow the head to rotate back and forth
14:29a good range of motion up, down, back and forth as well. In addition to that, the feral predator
14:35does also have a secondary ball joint at the base of the neck. If I get my finger out of the way,
14:39you probably would be able to see it a little bit better. Ball joint is right there, so you can move
14:42the neck back and forth, up and down as well. So he's got essentially two ball joints working
14:46behind the scenes, one there and one there. Upper torso is still going to be on ball joint. The
14:51benefit too, I always really like clear figures because you also get a chance to kind of see their
14:55inner workings. You can see there's a ball joint, a very large ball joint really here at the base of
14:59the waist, base of the waist. And there's also one right here that's attaching the abdomen to the top
15:03of the torso. Between the two, there's a lot of fluid motion there. The arms do rotate all the
15:08way around. You can hinge the arms out to get a T-pose. They were a little tight out of the
15:13packaging. In fact, they're actually still a little bit tight. You can bring those arms out a T-pose,
15:17forward and back, obviously motion there as well. Swivel the bicep, double hinge on the elbow,
15:22and the hands rotate all the way around. The legs still manage the split. The skirting on the side
15:27is also soft plastic, so you're not going to have much of an issue really having those legs being
15:31able to move out like this. You can take the legs and move them forward. You can move them back.
15:36A swivel there at the top of the thigh. If you can't see it, there's the ball, there's the joint
15:39right there. Allows the leg to swivel. The figure does also have a double hinge on the knee,
15:44articulation up and down the foot, and there's a rocker there as well. In all the cases too,
15:48the Feral Predator also had peggles, if I get my fingers out of the way,
15:52on the bottoms of his feet as well. So if you're having any issues to get this guy to stand,
15:56you can always go the route of using display stands. Even though one isn't included with
16:00any of these Predator figures, at least they're using universally sized ball sockets. Of course,
16:05when it comes to then displaying these figures, getting all three of them displayed here,
16:10I don't know how much more of a gambit we're going to be running when it comes to the Feral
16:13Predator from Prey. I mean, now that we already have a regular full materialized version,
16:17we've got the one that was covered in the blood and gave the reveal that way, and now we've got
16:21the one in the middle here, the Ultimate Reveal. I don't know again if we're going to be getting
16:24any more from from NECA. Now again, with like this one, the Ultimate Camo Reveal Predator was at one
16:30point a 2024 con exclusive. Availability on this guy, maybe they'll be a little bit harder. I kind
16:35of just wanted to check around online to sites and see exactly what the prices were going for
16:39this guy. Most on average, he's going for around $80 to $100, depending of course on the seller.
16:44He's still well worth it though, if you can find it for a decent price. I mean, I don't think
16:48necessarily, I mean, one of the good things also about the Ultimate Camo Reveal Predator is that
16:52he's also bringing to the table, not just more of the clear plastic, but a whole ton new accessories
16:58that weren't ever released with either of the other releases that we've gotten before.
17:02The cost of production, not to mention that oversized packaging that would be required,
17:06would probably have been two reasons why we never got the oversized dead bear along with the bear
17:10blood predator. It just would have been too expensive. What isn't as expensive though,
17:14to include what's left behind of Wolfie. No, you can't hear him barking. The skin remains of the
17:19wolf is one of the welcomed accessories that come included with the unique predator here.
17:23In fact, actually all of his accessories when you start to look at the lay of the land,
17:26the bear trap, the hatchet, the musket, even the little medical spray are all things that we
17:31haven't gotten before with both the original release of feral predator, nor, nor the bear
17:35blood feral predator release either. Still, when you're looking at it, he is using for the most
17:40parts, the OG predator. The original feral predator, the only other thing that he seemed
17:44to have on the back of his body that isn't present here on the Camo Reveal is that little dangling
17:49ball, the predator bomb ball that he has on the back. They've also removed that here on the back
17:53of his body. Funny though, that they have still kept the wolf head, because the wolf head being
17:58one of the things that come with the figure anyways, you would think that they would have
18:01probably just used a bear blood predator, because it probably would have just had the easiest
18:06transition without them having a tool or remove anything from his assembly. In the end of the day
18:11though, at the end of the day though, what a neat looking predator this is. I mean, obviously from a
18:16reveal standpoint, there's a little less revealed on him because they're not dripping bear blood all
18:21over his body, but man what a fine looking figure this is. It still has again all the same mandible
18:25swappable parts and of course has the tortoise shell helmet. So if you were a big fan certainly
18:31of the original feral predator from Prey, you're probably going to eat this one up as well. A big
18:35thank you again to the folks over at NECA that did provide this sample of the ultimate Camo
18:39Reveal feral predator, which was a 2024 con exclusive. Originally mentioned in this review,
18:44at one point it was available over on their site. It was though selling for very easily to digest
18:49for your budget $39.99 and for those reasons I can understand why this guy sold out as fast as
18:55he did. Either that or the scalpers just scooped him up and hiked the prices up so they could sell
19:00it in the aftermarket and I'm probably thinking it's more of the latter. What do you guys think
19:03of this figure? Let me know down below in the comment section. One to pick up or one to pass?
19:07Let me know what you think of it. If you guys also did enjoy this video, you can do it a saw and
19:10throw it a like. You guys want to stick around for more? So I hope so. You can hit that subscribe,
19:14you can turn on that bell, but of course you can always come back. As always, thanks for watching,
19:19see you guys next time.
