00:00So I'm the oldest daughter and I grew up in Jakarta.
00:10I studied mathematics focusing on computer science.
00:14Actually I always aspired to study abroad since I was a kid.
00:20So I've been living in Germany for almost nine years.
00:25I studied my master's in informatics or computer science focusing on data analytics.
00:43So after my master's degree I continue working full time in Germany in a start-up company.
00:51I'm currently working as a senior data product owner at CalSize AG.
00:55So this is a company focused on optics and optoelectronics in Germany.
00:59It's been in the industry for more than 100 years actually.
01:04And I am working in the digitalization unit of CalSize where my objective is that supporting
01:10other business units across size.
01:14I actually manage a product team basically.
01:18A product team in this case means that several engineers can be also an analyst as well because
01:26our product in this case is actually a data product.
01:30I did not expect that it will be modern and dynamic and also a lot of fun as well.
01:37And what I really like about size is they really embrace the background that you have.
01:43Background in this case different people with different backgrounds and cultures have a
01:47different way of thinking which is actually a lot of men in tech.
01:52But I honestly feel like as a woman we need to be really embrace our uniqueness and be
01:58proud of it that we are a woman.
02:04Overall my family is still in Jakarta.
02:07I have one brother.
02:08He is actually 13 years younger than me so it's quite a really huge gap I would say.
02:15I've been supported and surrounded by people who actually supporting my dreams to go abroad.
02:22I think as a foreign or international people who come to the German market you need to
02:28be well prepared.
02:31I am also part of Indonesian Professional Association community.
02:35We are supporting Indonesian professionals through many different topics.
02:40So it can be knowledge sharing.
02:41It can be also professional development and also personal development or even just knowledge
02:49sharing in general when it comes to finance for example or taxes or any topic that usually
02:55professionals discuss.
02:57I like my life in here especially with the communities and also with friends that I'm
03:10surrounding with.
03:11I don't feel homesick that much.
03:14One example is that there is Indonesian communities for example where we celebrate special occasions
03:22for example Indonesian Independence Day or Eid Mubarak or many different occasions where
03:28they also serve Indonesian food.
03:30Wearing hijab in Germany is not an issue at all.
03:34I've been surrounded by people who's actually really embracing my uniqueness and also myself.
03:42How can I make someone's life better?
03:45I just want to help people.
03:47It can also be supporting people in their journey, their professional journey as well.
03:53One of the way to do it in my opinion is be a coach, so career coach specifically.
04:00I personally seeing it as my superpowers I would say.
04:06I focus on Indonesian people actually who live abroad and especially in Germany.
04:12The reason is because I've been in their shoes before.
04:16I've been a student in Germany before and I know the struggle and the pains and the
04:22fear that I had in the past to think about the full time working life and whether the
04:31possibility if you can stay or not in Germany.
04:35I know that Germany is actually looking for more skilled workers and as a coach supporting
04:41Indonesians to look for a job in Germany, I would say it somehow also contributes and
04:47helps also this country to have more, not just Indonesians in general, but having a
04:52more international environment in their industry.
