00:24President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised to continue the administration of the DSWG's services through new development models that will serve as a blueprint for the development of the Filipino family.
00:47President Marcos Jr. is the first to launch the Family in the New Philippines, which includes a program and service that will provide guidance to increase the living standards of the DSWG beneficiaries.
00:58Its aim is to introduce programs that not only provide financial assistance, but also psychosocial interventions, care, and residential facilities for various sectors of society.
01:11This initiative aims to strengthen family development and welfare in every stage of life, recognizing that nurturing households are the cornerstone of a thriving nation.
01:23In this program, we will examine the situation of each family to determine their true needs.
01:31At the same time, we will implement the necessary measures to ensure that the government's assistance is sufficient and adequate in their situations.
01:44HELPS, or Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System, is an online platform for easier registration, accreditation, and obtaining licenses from Social Welfare and Development Agencies, or SWDA.
01:59Through this, they will go down to just 12 stages of their journey from the previous 49.
02:06So if they used to spend 6 months in the process, it will only last 7 days.
02:12MTA, or Minors Traveling Abroad Systems, also launched an online application for minors who want to leave the country.
02:21It encourages the safety and well-being of young Filipinos who travel to different countries.
02:27These endeavors reflect a government that listens and that responds, a government that evolves to meet the needs of its people.
02:34Alongside these innovative initiatives, the success of the DSWD has not been measured by the executive branch.
02:41In the past year, the President particularly praised the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, or 4-PiS,
02:47where he pointed out that in the past year alone, 4 million households have received assistance from the program.
02:55The President also recognized the Sustainable Livelihood Program of the DSWD, which helped more than 270,000 households.
03:04He also pointed out the agency's rapid response to calamities through the proper use of its Quick Response Fund.
03:12You have provided not just assistance, but behind that assistance, you have also provided hope
03:20to families rising from hardship, to communities devastated by calamities,
03:26to individuals who need to feel that their governor is there by their side, ready to assist.
03:34Your vision is simple and profound, to build a resilient, inclusive society where no one is left behind.
03:42Time and again, we have seen how that vision translates into action,
03:48whether in the Swiss distribution of aid after a typhoon, the consistent support for struggling families,
03:54or the enduring commitment to sectors often overlooked by society.
03:59The President also reiterated the importance of the assistance and support of Filipinos
04:04so that the government's programs can be properly implemented,
04:07whose main goal is to improve the quality of life of every Filipino.
