00:07of what's new with gameplay updates.
00:10First up, ambush hitting.
00:12Ambush is a new feature that allows you to emulate a real major league hitter by choosing
00:17which side of the plate you think the pitcher is going to attack.
00:20Guess right and the plate coverage indicator will grow, giving you a bigger sweet spot
00:25and a slight improvement to your swing timing.
00:28If it's wrong, your PCI will shrink, making it more difficult to line up your bat.
00:34Similar to outfielder's hit reactions in MLB The Show, we now have three different reaction
00:39time animations for infielders.
00:42These animations scale from the fastest to the slowest jump, depending on your fielder's
00:46reaction time attribute.
00:49On average, your top rated fielders will trigger the quickest start transition, while lower
00:54rated players will experience slight delays.
00:57You get instant feedback as arrows shoot out of the player marker, indicating your
01:02jump.
01:03Blue is the fastest, green is average, and yellow is the slowest.
01:06This will be a game-changer.
01:08Now a jump throw!
01:10That's a great play.
01:11New in MLB The Show 25 is GOAT difficulty.
01:15GOAT difficulty will challenge you in a way that's never been experienced in MLB The Show.
01:21Faster fastballs, bigger breaks on off-speed pitches, tighter swing timing windows, and
01:26a smaller PCI to challenge the best of the best.
01:32The new jump indicator allows for more catch animations to be played from even more directions
01:37and jump timings than ever before.
01:39Get to the warning track early, and if your meter gets into the green jump zone, you can
01:44tap the jump button, and a leaping homerun robbing animation will play from whatever
01:49your attack angle and timing is.
01:51If you get to the right location, the animation chosen will time your jump appropriately.
01:56The rest is up to your fielder's ability.
02:00The new throw accuracy meter has been adjusted and is now more of a high-risk, high-reward
02:05mechanic.
02:06The perfect, or blue region, will now be at the end of the good, or green, instead of
02:11in the middle of it.
02:12Now, if you miss late, your throw will be in the off-line, or wild, or red zone.
02:18The better your fielder's throw accuracy attribute, the bigger your good and perfect regions will
02:22scale.
02:23The tag, and he's out of the play!
02:26From the start of the play to the end of it, everyone in the field will move like true
02:29MLB players, with hundreds of new animations in MLB The Show 25.
