00:00Representative Rudante Marcoleta and PCJ Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, Commodore J. Tariela faced a heated debate on the issue in the West Philippine Sea.

00:17Philippine Coast Guard Commodore J. Tariela did not change his stance on what Rep. Rudante Marcoleta said, that the West Philippine Sea is not recognized on the map of the world.

00:30Marcoleta complained that he was labeled a tridor and pro-China because of his reputation on social media.

00:38And he is wondering why PCJ Spokesperson did not correct his statement.

00:43But Tariela said,

00:45I am not under obligation to tell all the social media influencers, to bloggers, defend your name, tell them that you are not a traitor.

00:54Again, I did not mention that you are a traitor. Those words did not come from me.

01:01Why would I go to the extent of defending you and you are running for Senate?

01:06I might as well be interpreted as running for, supporting somebody for public office.

01:13Tariela also added that he is holding the directive of Rep. Marcos Jr. on the passage of this zone, the West Philippine Sea, and this is not just his imagination.

01:25So if it is not recorded, I am right, right?

01:29No, sir.

01:30You are inconsistent.

01:33No, sir. I did not say that you are correct. I will not agree that you are correct.

01:37West Philippine Sea is our exclusive economic zone.

01:40Marcoleta insisted that he has no intention of showing weakness in defending the territory of the country.

01:47But Tariela defended his position as a personnel of the President and the harassment of China within our waters.
