Today, AD is welcomed by Lana Condor to tour her Los Angeles home. The ‘To All the Boys I Loved Before’ star’s journey towards her dream home started over FaceTime while in Vietnam. It was love at first sight for Condor and upon returning to LA, she and her husband Anthony De La Torre began transforming the house into the home she had always dreamed of. The actress enlisted the help of interior designer Joseph Monsour, and together they created a soft, elegant space inspired by Condor’s travels to Italy. The couple knew this home was the start of a new chapter together, so it was only right they chose to host their wedding’s welcome party and farewell brunch in the space they so lovingly designed.

00:00Hey, D! I am so happy you're here! Welcome to my home. Come on in!
00:06🎵
00:13I'm so excited to have you guys here in my dream home.
00:16I was working with my designer, Joseph Mansour, for almost two years to create this oasis that I love more than life.
00:26It's my dream, dream home. I recently got married and it was amazing and I was able to do it in this house.
00:32The idea of like christening the home with all of my loved ones and my friends and everyone was so exciting.
00:39So I will show you where we hosted our welcome dinner and farewell brunch.
00:44🎵
00:50This is the loggia. I didn't even know the word until Joseph designed it, so this is very exciting.
00:57What we did with the flooring is we kind of brought it all the way out because we love like an indoor-outdoor kind of experience.
01:04And you'll see throughout, Joseph was really, really good at bringing in like soft colors that are more so even like felt than seen.
01:13So Joseph just made a custom color. It doesn't have a name, so I'm gonna name it Architectural Digest.
01:19This is your color and we love it so much because it kind of feels like when we're in here, it kind of feels like we still see sky, weirdly.
01:28All of my friends helped me pull off the farewell brunch and the welcome brunch and honestly the wedding.
01:34But by the end of the farewell brunch, my friends were so exhausted from working, they all just like passed out on this couch.
01:41There was like a couple here, a couple here, a couple here. So weirdly, this is also a sleeping space if you want it to be.
01:49So these are my beautiful shears. I'm obsessed with them. I didn't even know you were allowed to put shears outside.
01:56When Joseph was designing these and bringing me swatches, I instantly was like, oh, this one, this one, I want this one.
02:04What is it called? And he's like, turn it over. And I turned it over. It's called Lana. So like actually called Lana.
02:12So this is the Lana shear and I'm Lana. I just think they're so grand and so, so beautiful.
02:18This is my beautiful, beautiful outdoor space at the farewell brunch and the welcome dinner.
02:24We had almost 100 people here.
02:26We had set up all these beautiful, beautiful tables and it absolutely held all these people, which is great.
02:37All right, we are now in my kitchen. This really is where I spend the most time.
02:43I love to cook. I love to host.
02:47I love to have like a game night and I just really, really, really wanted like a space that could accommodate for all of that.
02:55These countertops, Joseph and I went to so many slab yards and we found this beautiful, beautiful Casper white.
03:03I'm kind of specific and I don't love too much veining. We honed and leathered it.
03:08I did not know what honed or leathered meant until this experience,
03:13but the leathering is really cool because they like, I guess they just kind of whip it a little
03:19and then it gives this amazing soft texture, like lived in texture.
03:24I kid you not. Anytime anyone comes to my house and they come to the kitchen,
03:30the first thing they do is they like lay their whole body on it and they like rub themselves all over the countertops.
03:39It is, you know, kind of alarming and probably not sanitary.
03:44However, I'm like very deeply honored. I've never had a pot filler.
03:49I watch all the videos on ATE where they all have pot fillers and I cook pasta every night.
03:56Every night I eat a noodle and I get so used to like carrying the pot.
04:01This changes everything. You go bam, bam, bam, put it in and I'm obsessed with it.
04:13So this is my family room. I wasn't quite sure if my dream sofa could be dog friendly
04:19and Joseph had just the most amazing idea to put all of this fabric as indoor-outdoor.
04:27So this is very like durable. We did a lot of actually indoor-outdoor fabrics throughout the home after that.
04:32This was our very, very, very, very first fabric that we got obsessed with,
04:39but this was a very much an inspiration of where we were going to take the rest of the home when it comes to design.
04:46This is from, the fabric is from Claremont. It is so beautiful and Joseph did this gorgeous like custom like trim.
04:52A lot of what we love is details and so there's trim everywhere and all these amazing little details that,
04:59you know, might be overlooked sometimes, but they're always felt and they make a huge difference.
05:04I really want to talk about this Paul Ferrante piece. I'm obsessed with it.
05:10We brought this in and it changed everything, at least for us,
05:16because it brought some like depth and just like grounded this space that is so light and so airy.
05:22This poor guy, he's going through something. Look at this diva.
05:25I don't really know what he's doing, but I kind of love him and he's a great talking piece.
05:30So now I'm going to walk you through this amazing hallway
05:34and then something that Joseph did that just kind of made a huge difference is he put Venetian plaster all over these arches.
05:46So the walls feel just incredible and this is another surface that when my guests come,
05:52they rub themselves all over this surface as well.
05:56So like just so you know, you guys apparently people are just going at it in my home
06:01and that's okay because we worked very hard to create a really nice space.
06:14This is my living room. This is an enormous fire.
06:18It's crackling a lot. So if you hear a little that's that it's really big.
06:24I did not think it was going to be that big. Wow. This is a piece by Sarah Awad.
06:28We have a lot of creams and beautiful kind of like softer like creams and whites tones throughout the home,
06:34but we do really really loved the idea of playing with color.
06:38And so this we just fell in love with and I'm obsessed with these three women.
06:43I identify the most with her. She's all and I think she's so cute.
06:49Sometimes like if I'm feeling down, I'll come in here
06:53and I'm just instantly like filled with gratitude
06:56because I never thought that I would be fortunate enough to have a space as beautiful as this
07:02and so it's a big like mood lifter when I'm in here
07:05and my calves are on fire from standing so close to the fire.
07:11So I'm going to move a little. Okay over here.
07:15I just wanted to quickly touch on my drapes.
07:19I'm obsessed with this Joseph added this gorgeous like little trim.
07:23I said earlier in the video that we're obsessed with trim.
07:26So there's trim everywhere and I just feel like it makes such a difference.
07:30It pulls the entire room together.
07:37Okay, welcome to my office slash library room.
07:43I am a big big big reader and I asked Joseph.
07:47Is there a way that we can display my book collection?
07:50So he custom built this amazing amazing cabinetry situation this piece.
07:57So I was adopted from Vietnam
08:00and my dad used to write for the Chicago Tribune
08:03and for the Christmas edition my dad they asked would you be willing to share your adoption story?
08:10So he said of course so he wrote my adoption story
08:12and we got to be on the cover of the Chicago Tribune magazine in December 21st 1997.
08:20That's my brother. That's me. That's my mom and that's my dad
08:25and I love this so much. It makes me emotional.
08:28This is my beautiful family. So this is really important.
08:31It's inspiring. It's like when I work here
08:34and I look at that I'm reminded of like why I want to work so hard
08:39because family is important
08:40and I really hope that I can be half as amazing as them.
08:44So they're big inspiration to me
08:46and then I was obsessed with the idea of a really sculptural desk
08:51and I went to Joseph. I said Joseph.
08:53Okay, I think we need like a really cool sculptural kind of piece in the center of this room.
09:00I feel powerful. I feel about my business on this desk.
09:05Could you imagine you're zooming and I'm like this on mute.
09:08Hi such a vibe.
09:15I've been waiting to do this the double doors.
09:20I'm obsessed. This is my primary bedroom.
09:25It is my dream dream dream dream bedroom.
09:30I've been bringing it up a ton,
09:32but I just love you know things that feel so nice
09:36and so like the sensory experience is really really important to me
09:40and I think we kind of nailed it with this linen wallpaper
09:43and it's another place where people do stroke it
09:48and I wish they wouldn't because it is linen
09:51and it's not necessarily easy to clean but we love love this
09:55when I was prepping for the wedding.
09:57I did like a bridesmaids party where we tried on all the dresses
10:01and we did like a fitting party. So I had the tailor come in and fit everything.
10:04They're all hanging out here. They're draping their things on here.
10:07They're laying on the floor.
10:09So this primary weirdly became like our most communal space,
10:14which is amazing and I welcome it as long as you have good energy.
10:18I welcome it and now I must lead you to my pride
10:22and joy. This is my sitting room when I'm in here.
10:26It takes me right the way I said Joseph,
10:29you know that feeling when you're under the covers
10:33and like the sun is streaming through the sheet
10:35and you're like cozy and you're happy.
10:37I want to feel that feeling in the sitting room
10:42and he said say less Anthony
10:44and I actually got engaged in Mexico like three
10:48and a half years ago or something like that
10:50and in our hotel room there was a fireplace.
10:53So every single night we would light the fireplace
10:56and then go to sleep like with the crackling fire
10:59and it was like the most delicious comforting like sleep ever.
11:05So we have a fireplace in the sitting room
11:06and it's gorgeous. And then this actually is we had a tiny tiny bit of a leftover slab
11:13from the kitchen the countertops
11:15and it fit perfectly so we put it on here
11:18and I just love that little detail.
11:23All right.
11:25So now I'm going to take you in to my primary bathroom another double door moment.
11:32I love it. I'm obsessed these botanicals my mom.
11:37She had very similar botanicals in our family home growing up.
11:42And so we found these at a flea market that really remind me of my mom's art,
11:46which I love and I love her and I miss her.
11:50And so we thought that this would be the perfect place to put them
11:54so that like when it's tub time,
11:55I can just kind of gaze at these beautiful dainty botanicals
11:59and feel like I'm closer to my mom.
12:01Lastly. I had told Joseph that I'm obsessed with the color turquoise
12:06and he was like Lana like turquoise might not be like the vibe of the home
12:10and I said, but Joseph you don't understand
12:13and he's like, don't worry. I'll find a way
12:16and so he brought in my love of turquoise into again,
12:19the beautiful like trim detailing and it hard drapery and and I got my turquoise.
12:31This is my glam room. I told Joseph I said Joseph I want a glam room
12:37that is just the most soft girly pink Lux glam room.
12:44It took us a very long time to find our pink.
12:47And so Joseph did a custom pink in a glam room.
12:51You're getting ready getting your hair and makeup done.
12:53Whatever you take a lot of photos.
12:55And so we wanted to pick a color for the walls that would be complementary
12:59to my skin tone and my complexion.
13:02And so that's also one of the reasons why we kind of made the custom pink
13:06and I love it. And then Joseph also did these amazing soap drapery
13:10with this soft scallop detail that runs down
13:15and then I need to show you this.
13:17This is a work of art Joseph designed this custom himself.
13:24This is Fortuny fabric. It is hand-dyed,
13:28which is really really cool. Every little bit is a little bit different.
13:32Everything is a little bit just like has its own like personality and flavor,
13:36but then we open her up.
13:40And this is our three-way mirror.
13:46This is like little Lana's dream here.
13:49We do loads and loads of fittings and so we can see what we like see
13:52what we don't like get things tailored
13:55and he just made it a work of art
13:58and we added this amazing trim that I love.
14:00Are you seeing a theme? We love the trim
14:03and typically if you're looking for me,
14:05I'm probably in here.
14:18All right AD it was so much fun hanging out with you
14:21and an absolute joy showing you my home,
14:24but it's now time for you to leave.
14:29Just gotta go. Bye, bye, bye.
14:34Okay. Bye.
