Bridget Jones is back – and our favorite characters aren’t the only thing to love about the newest film! In addition to featuring the great outdoors, we love that #BridgetJonesMovie included some cool green jobs and sustainable actions on screen, while also reducing their environmental footprint behind the scenes with battery technology, material donations and reuse, and more!

00:00Remember to open your eyes and look around.
00:07This is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
00:11Hi, I'm Chiwetel Ejiofor, and I play Mr. Wallachia in Bridget Jones' Mad About the Boy.
00:16I'm proud that we partnered with Universal's Greener Light program to find ways to embed
00:21sustainability throughout the making of this film.
00:24Am I a real person's garbage?
00:26The third technical term is garbologist.
00:29Really?
00:30Sustainability can mean so many things in our industry, from the stories we tell, the
00:34environmental impact on our sets, engaging audiences through marketing and social platforms
00:40and more.
00:41We partnered with Universal to build a plan to reduce the environmental impact of this
00:45production.
00:46Any props that we get, if we can't sell them at the end, always recycle them to charities.
00:52If we bought something to try and use it again or repurpose it.
00:56Hello, old friend.
00:58Nostalgia towards clothes is very cyclical.
01:01We're not fast fashioning our way through the film.
01:04We had the electric vehicles on for our crew, who usually rack up a lot of miles driving
01:08around central London.
01:09Now, rest assured, they're driving electric cars.
01:12We've been able to get these batteries on that we've been using on location instead
01:16of a generator.
01:17They're compact, they can be wheeled right into set.
01:19All these brilliant artists came together and we worked really hard to honour this experience
01:24that all of us are touched by.
01:26The film and television industry has a lot of reach and a lot of scope.
01:30I am very proud to work with companies that prioritise sustainability.
01:35I mean, look at that.
01:38All of it.
