After more than a year of conflict between Hamas and Israel, Gaza now has the highest number of child amputees per capita in the world, according to the United Nations. One rehabilitation clinic in Gaza City is providing prosthetic limbs to help amputees adapt to their new reality.

00:28I fell on my leg.
00:33Before I was admitted to the center and I was able to fix my leg, I felt that my life
00:37was black.
00:38I was not fit for life at all.
00:40When they gave me the treatment and I was able to fix my leg, I felt like a new person.
00:45I was able to stand on my feet.
00:47I enrolled in the university and started studying.
00:50I felt that it was a new beginning for my life.

01:10We started working on rehabilitation and natural therapy programs in three provinces,
01:15the southern province, the central province and the city of Gaza.
01:18There have been more than 700 cases so far.
01:21Some of the cases are now ready to receive artificial limbs.
01:2720 cases of artificial limbs have been provided and they have returned to their normal lives.
01:34About 150 moving chairs have been distributed for the malignant cases and the twins.
01:41In addition, more than 600 aids have been distributed during this period.
