00:23Welcome back to the vlog.
00:26I have spent the better part of the day editing.
00:31I wish I was a good editor at night.
00:34Not that I'm super tired at night, it's just like I can't focus on the computer at night.
00:40I can do other creative stuff, I just cannot edit at night.
00:44But it would do me so much good because I wouldn't waste sunlight editing in the mornings
00:51and during the day because now it's like a little after noon now.
00:57If only.
00:58And I try and I fail.
00:59So I've just accepted that about myself, but I don't want to waste any more sunlight.
01:03I'm just putting on a little bit of makeup and we're actually heading to my parents house.
01:09She's been working on some things for me.
01:11She's been painting some stuff for me and I need to check that out.
01:14I also need to shoot some content for my candle business up there.
01:20So I want to use her studio because it's so pretty.
01:23And you guys have been asking for a tour.
01:24I'll ask her if we can do one.
01:27Now that it's finished, I know she's going to want it to look perfect.
01:30You know, like if it doesn't look perfect, she's going to be like, no, I need to do stuff.
01:35So we'll see.
01:36But it does look really pretty.
01:38My mom has put everything that she has found over the years into that studio because they
01:44were actually going to build a home.
01:46And so she's been collecting for a whole home, not just one guest house.
01:51So she had quite a bit and it all went in there.
01:53So be prepared to see lots of stuff.
01:55If you guys didn't see the last video, I told her when I got here and it was somewhat finished,
02:01I was like, you know what it reminds me of?
02:03It reminds me of the first Airbnb that we stayed in when we went to Paris.
02:06I took my mom to Paris for Mother's Day, but it's brighter twin.
02:11That Airbnb was very moody and a warm, you know, kind of warm vibe.
02:16Like I love the moody, I love the darker colors.
02:21And my mom is obviously going to paint in there, it's going to be her studio.
02:24So she needed the area to be really bright and airy.
02:26All of these like eclectic finds and things that she's collected, it has like a story
02:31to tell, you know, being like brighter in color.
02:33I slept in there when I first got here, when I was kind of cleaning up the cottage to like
02:37move into.
02:39And now we're staying down here, but I have to head up there, take the baby and Romeo's
02:43going to come.
02:44I think there's like basketball on or something.
02:45So he'll be watching that with the baby while I work with my mom.
02:49And yeah, we'll just have a have a good day, maybe we'll eat some dinner later.

06:34so it naturally has some peachy undertones in it.
06:38And she added all of her hardware to everything.
06:42And she decorated up the walls and all inside.

06:51We did this gallery wall the last time we were here.
06:54We put all of that up.
06:56This man, I love, he's so pretty.

07:02It was pretty much finished the last time.

07:09we were working on designing the bedroom.
07:11We were putting together the bed and doing the gallery wall.
07:15And I got my mom a mattress for this bed

09:29I think what we finished it to, he was two months.

09:34He was, the baby was two months old.
09:35I thought, I thought we were, but things happen.
09:38You know, we had a short timeline,
09:40but towards the end of any remodel,
09:42it's just, it's like, just finish, just finish.
09:44We just want it finished.
09:45So you get to the funnest part, which is decorating
09:50and you want to rush it because you want it done.
09:53And she did, you did that too.
09:57I know, and I do that with kind of every project.
09:59It's like, we spend so much time doing all these DIY
10:02projects and all of these, you know,
10:04details that have taken weeks and months and months
10:07and months and I rushed through,
10:10I want to decorate it in a day or less than.

10:53This one is Arlo and it has the orange scent,
10:58the bergamot.

11:02And so the goal, if you actually take the box apart,
11:05you can use the artwork for anything.
11:08They're small, obviously, you know,
11:10but like you could chop it up and like use it as art.
11:13I saw someone do the most creative thing
11:16over the holidays.
11:17They use the artwork for Noel, the holiday candle,
11:21and cut out like snowflake shapes
11:24and made a garland out of it.
11:26So I wanted you to be able to, you know,
11:27use every portion of the packaging too in some way
11:32so that we can reduce the waste and stuff, but so pretty.
11:36So she does the art for every, every candle
11:39and she's just finished, you'll get a sneak peek
11:42because she just finished the fall artwork.
11:46Now you guys are probably like,
11:47why is it shaped like that?
11:49What is this?
11:50Okay, there's a reason.
11:52Because of the way the art is printed
11:55and the box is made and assembled,
11:58she has to paint in a very weird way.
12:02Like we've learned over the sense, huh?
12:05To like how to do it.
12:06I'm like, mom, you can't really think too much
12:09about like real perspective when you're painting
12:12or think of it like a painting you're gonna like frame.
12:18It has to work for the box.
12:20Cause like, look how long this like,
12:22this portion of the box is.
12:24So it has to be shaped like the packaging.
12:27So ignore that part.
12:29But look how beautiful.
12:30This is for fall.
12:31And I wanted like, just like this landscape
12:33of fall leaves starting to turn on the trees.
12:37And so I wanted like mixes of like yellow and orange
12:42and it's perfect.
12:44She always does such a good job.
12:45This one and the spring when she finished,
12:48that one will be coming out soon.

12:57so that I can make the artwork for the new candle.

21:25this morning of the content that I shot yesterday
21:27and got those all ready to go.
21:30Updated the website with a pretty banner.
21:32So the guys are here working on our gas lines.
21:35So hopefully we can have hot water tonight.
21:38That would be great.
21:39We've been making do though.
21:40So it's like fine if it's not, if it's tomorrow.
21:42Cause I think the work that they have to do,
21:43it is like a two day thing,
21:44but they're thinking they can get it turned on tonight.
21:47And I'm going to be working on the bathroom all day.
21:49So I want to get started.
21:51I'm going to head to my mom's house and take Cade.
21:53She's going to watch him for a few hours.
21:55And I'm going to dive into the bathroom project
21:58even deeper today.
21:59And I want to assess if I need anything
22:01from the hardware store,
22:02because I feel like I go out there to get something
22:04and either I can't find it or I don't have it.
22:07And so I'm still in that stage of like,
22:10picking up where I left off.
22:11Like, I just don't know.
22:13Like, I just need to get into it
22:15and like start working on stuff.
22:16So I know I have my tile saw,
22:18cause I have a few more pieces of tile that I need to cut.
22:20I know I have the grout, but do I have all the tools?
22:24I don't know.
22:25I've done this before,
22:26but like, am I going to be able to put my hands on that?
22:29I don't know.
22:32So if you hear some, some things.
22:34I'm doing very minimal makeup
22:35just to like put myself together and feel alive.
22:44Oh, you guys, okay.
22:45I've been working on the bathroom.
22:47I actually found all of my supplies.
22:50I'm like shocked.
22:51So we didn't need to go to the hardware store
22:54for anything with that.
22:55And I just kind of worked on patching some of the tile
22:59that around the toilet and stuff.
23:01So now I gotta let it dry
23:02and I can grout that tile floor tomorrow,
23:04which will be really good.
23:05And then I have to let that dry a day.
23:07So everything like takes,
23:08all this process is going to take a little bit.
23:10And I'll work on the door frames and the doors
23:12and even sanding and stuff.
23:13So exciting to see that bathroom come to life.
23:15So chipping away at it for sure.
23:18We're going to run to the hardware store.
23:21I need to pick up a part from the parts supply place.
23:24Oh, I killed our vacuum.
23:26I'm so disappointed.
23:27I messed up our vacuum.
23:29Don't ask.
23:30I just did it.
23:31So we need like a really inexpensive vacuum cleaner
23:34for the house.
23:36Seeing, seeing simple plan.
23:40We've arrived at Lowe's.
23:42I was eating a brownie and I dropped some.
23:45I don't know if it didn't sit on it.

23:55We need two by fours, a bucket.

24:03but I'm just going to borrow my dad's.
