00:00All right, let's go to the NBA.
00:01The Lakers beat the Blazers last night in the RIP city.
00:04Moda, 1-10-1-0-2.
00:06Cover!
00:08LeBron at 40, he's 40 years old.
00:10Eight rebounds, four assists, two steals.
00:13He had 11 turnovers, I don't care.
00:14Reeves had 32.
00:15I talked about Reeves and Luka and LeBron with you yesterday.
00:22Reeves also seven dimes, two blocks.
00:25Here's LeBron nailing a fourth quarter bomb
00:28on Spectrum Sports.
00:3086-81, inbound, out on top to Hayes.
00:35He'll immediately give it up.
00:36Yet again for James, yes!
00:39Yes!
00:42So he became the first player in NBA history
00:43to have multiple 40-point games at 40 years old,
00:48and I'm not surprised at all.
00:49He's still a badass.
00:51Austin Reeves said LeBron has nothing else
00:53to prove about his greatness,
00:54and if anyone thinks he does,
00:55then they are just Jordan fans.
00:58Good one, Austin.
01:00Let's start making fun of Michael Jordan.
01:02I'll see how that goes for you in life.
01:04Listen, honestly, just stop.
01:07I don't care how good LeBron James is,
01:10which we all know how unbelievable he is,
01:14leading scorer all the time, all the records,
01:16all of his greatness, there's no denying any of it.
01:19He's still not Michael Jordan.
01:22Michael Jordan never lost.
01:23He never lost, ever.
01:25And hung over any situation,
01:29illness, bringing his best game there.
01:31That guy was an absolute dog.
01:33He'll take your money in anything,
01:34a card game, marbles, backgammon, it doesn't matter.
01:37That's the whole thing about Michael Jordan.
01:39He hated losing so much.
01:41LeBron, let's give him credit.
01:43One of the best players, great fantasy guy,
01:45but LeBron James and Michael Jordan,
01:47there's no argument.
01:48It's MJ.
01:49Amen, brother.
01:50Love you, Scotty.
01:51I mean, it's real simple.
01:52Come on.
01:54It's real simple.
01:55It's just so simple.
01:56So, by the way, I went out and I bought,
02:00actually, I didn't buy him,
02:0234C got me like four new Jordan t-shirts, like retro,
02:08all like retro Jordans.
02:10And I wore one of them like to the gym the other night,
02:13to my game and everybody was like, where'd you get that?
02:15I got all these new Jordan ones.
02:16I got an Iverson one, it's badass.
02:18I think I showed the Iverson one on the show here.
02:21But here's J.J. Redick talking about LeBron.
02:24Man, he really just defies anything that's normal
02:33and not just the physical feats and the plays,
02:40it's the mentality.
02:42He is, again, he's, I believe I saw the other day,
02:47he's a billionaire.
02:49And he's playing on the second night
02:52of a back-to-back at 40 after 22 years
02:54with every frickin' record and every accolade.
02:57And the kids will say that I'm glazing him.
03:00He's one of the greatest competitors ever.
03:06And Nate and I were talking about it before the game.
03:09It's like, he's amazing to coach.
03:14He's, he brings it every single day.
03:18He sets the standard for how you're supposed
03:20to approach this craft.
03:22And that's, to me, the most incredible thing.
03:25So it's just the mindset to do it, get up the next day,
03:30do it, get up the next day, do it,
03:32over and over and over again.
03:34Yeah, I don't think he listens to you.
03:37LeBron James, player coach, like Reg Dunlop in Slapshot.
03:43Yeah, no, he does what he wants.
03:45I think that he's friends with him and he's a fan.
03:47He's a fan of him like anyone else.
03:49When you go watch him, like, so I lived there, right,
03:51for 12 years and I used to go watch Kobe and Shaq
03:54win three straight titles.
03:56And I went to watch Kobe Bryant play basketball.
04:01I mean, like, I literally, and then when I was in Atlanta,
04:05Miami, it didn't matter where I was,
04:08whenever, you know, Jordan came to town,
04:11whenever Kobe Bryant came to town, I went and watched him.
04:17And it's the same thing with LeBron James.
04:19If he's in town, so back in the day,
04:22you knew that if they were in town, he was playing.
04:24There was none of this, today's day and age,
04:27where if you buy a ticket,
04:28you don't know if LeBron's gonna play
04:30because they don't announce it
04:31until 10 minutes before tip off,
04:33if the guy's gonna play or not, which is absolute bullshack.
04:36But back in the day, if you went to see Kobe,
04:38you knew he was playing.
04:40And it was like, it just, you got your rocks off
04:43watching LeBron and Kobe, same thing with LeBron.
04:47And, you know, watching great players is cool.
04:51And I think the coach, he's been sucked in by it.
04:55There's no way for one minute,
04:56I believe that that guy listens to J.J. Ritt.
04:59No, no, LeBron James, he doesn't need a coach.
05:01He can do it by himself.
05:02But I will say, that's the best thing too,
05:04about the best of the best, Scotty.
05:05Like when I saw Kobe Bryant live too,
05:07and against Vince Carter,
05:08all the best bring their best against the best.
05:10And that's, you're right, it's a ticket you gotta watch.
05:12And I was very lucky and fortunate to see Kobe play.
