00:00So you've just won supreme at the Royal Canberra Show. How are you feeling? I'm feeling very good,
00:06thank you. It's a very big effort to come to such a prestigious show and exhibit such quality sheep
00:14and I'm very happy with the results. It was very great to the judging panel.
00:20And did you think this sheep was something pretty special? Yes, yes, no, I do. I've liked this ewe
00:25ever since she was a ewe lamb. She's just always been a standout. She's very, very correct and
00:30true to type. She's just a beautiful ewe really. And is this the first time you've won an interbreed
00:35with this sheep? This is this ewe's first time, yes. We've previously won the interbreed at
00:42Gundagai with the ram that we won champion with yesterday here at Canberra. So yeah,
00:47I've been very lucky to win back-to-back interbreed champions so far in both shows I've been to.
00:52Yeah, and you've recently taken over this stud, is that right? Yes, yes, my wife and I purchased
00:57this stud two years ago. My grandfather started this stud many years ago. It's actually our 50th
01:05year of annual on-property sales this year, so we're pretty excited for that. It's a great
01:12credit to my family. The sheep that they've bred has always been at the top of the class and
01:19it's quite difficult for me to keep such a good name. It keeps me accountable. I think I
01:28think I've got a lot to offer the stud, so hopefully I can be as good as my ancestors.
