00:07It is an honor to stand before everyone today as the head coach of the Chicago Bears

00:14The Chicago Bears have made it official a brand new coaching staff is in place under head coach Ben Johnson

00:22Changes here and the Bears are ready to turn the page to a new era of football in the Windy City

00:27So who's in who's out and what does this mean for the future of the franchise?

00:31Let's break it all down every hire every change and what it means for the Bears moving forward

00:37Ben Johnson steps in as the head coach replacing Matt Eber Fluse

00:41Johnson comes over from the Detroit Lions where he built one of the best

00:45Offenses in the league if you watch the Lions over the last few years, you know, they put up points

00:49They were creative explosive and efficient

00:52That's exactly what Bears fans have been waiting for a head coach who knows how to attack defenses not just react to them

00:59Johnson was a key reason why the Lions offense ranked in the top five in scoring and total yards over the past three seasons

01:06He helped turn Jared Goff from a struggling quarterback into an MVP finalist

01:10If he can work that same magic in Chicago, the Bears could have an offense that is feared across the league

01:17But Johnson isn't doing this alone

01:19Alongside him the Bears are rolling with a fresh face at offensive coordinator

01:28You will soon at just 28 years old Doyle is now the youngest offensive coordinator in the NFL

01:35He was coaching tight ends for the Broncos last season and has worked under Sean Payton

02:08The Bears bring in Dennis Allen as their new defensive coordinator. Now, this guy has been around

02:13He's got head coaching experience most recently with the New Orleans Saints

02:17He's known for building tough

02:20discipline defenses that can create

02:23Turnovers and let's be honest

02:25The Bears defense has been lacking that kind of identity for a while if Allen can bring the same level of defensive

02:32Intensity he had in New Orleans the Bears could be dangerous on that side of the ball again

02:36His Saints defense is consistently ranked in the top five in scoring defense red zone efficiency and takeaways

02:43That's exactly the kind of mentality

02:46Chicago needs to get back to being known as a defensive powerhouse and let's not forget about special teams

02:52Richard Hightower is sticking around for another season

02:56That's a smart move. The Bears had one of the top special teams units last season ranking fifth in the league in DVOA

03:02They even had three different players win special teams player of the week awards, so why mess with success?

03:10Hightower stays put and that consistency should help keep the Bears strong in that phase of the game in today's NFL

03:16Special teams can make or break a season whether it's winning the field position battle or making clutch kicks

03:22Hightower's unit has already shown it can compete with the best and keeping him on board is a crucial move

03:29Now let's get into the position coaches because there are some big names coming in

03:35Starting with the quarterbacks coach JT Barrett. Yes, the former, Ohio State quarterback

03:40Barrett has been working with the Lions and played a role in Jared Goff's development into an MVP finalist

03:46That's promising for whoever lines up under center for the Bears this season

03:51Barrett knows what it takes to lead a locker room and play at a high level

03:55Now he's got the job of coaching up the Bears

03:58His work in Detroit showed he can help quarterbacks process defenses faster and make better decisions

04:05If he can apply those same techniques in Chicago, the Bears could see a significant jump in their passing efficiency

04:13Another exciting hire Eric Bienamy is now in charge of the running backs

04:17This is huge. Bienamy was Patrick Mahomes offensive coordinator in Kansas City helping lead the Chiefs to multiple Super Bowl appearances

04:24He's an intense detail oriented coach who gets the most out of his players

04:28If he can develop the Bears running backs and help make the rushing attack more dynamic

04:34That's a game changer

04:35Bienamy's experience working with dynamic backs like Jamal Charles and Clyde Edwards-Hillaire means he knows how to maximize a player's skill set

04:42Expect to see more creativity in the way the Bears use their running backs in both the rushing and passing game

04:48At wide receivers the Bears bring in Antoine Randoletto. A former NFL receiver himself

04:55Randoletto won a Super Bowl with the Steelers and has been coaching with the Lions

04:58He knows what it takes to be great at the position and now he gets to mold

05:03Chicago's young receivers. Oh, and he's also been named the assistant head coach, which means he'll have a big voice in the locker room

05:10His experience in Detroit helped develop players like Amon Ross St. Brown into top-tier receivers. With the Bears

05:17He'll have the chance to do the same creating a reliable and explosive receiving court

05:22Defensively the Bears bring in Al Harris as the defensive backs coach

05:26If you watched the Cowboys secondary in recent years, you know, they were aggressive and opportunistic

05:32Harris had a lot to do with that. If he can bring that same energy to Chicago

05:36This secondary could start forcing a lot more turnovers. With young talents in the secondary Harris's ability to develop

05:42Cornerbacks and safeties into playmakers could elevate this unit into a top defensive group

05:48And then there's Richard Smith the new linebackers coach. This guy has been around forever and knows how to develop talent

05:54He's coached all over the league and his experience will be key for this Bears defense. On the defensive line

06:01Jeremy Garrett takes over. He spent time with the Jaguars and Browns

06:05coaching up some dominant pass rushers. The Bears need help getting after the quarterback and

06:11Garrett's job is to make sure that happens. His track record shows he can get the most out of his pass rushers

06:17And the Bears desperately need to improve their ability to pressure opposing quarterback

06:23There are plenty more new faces in supporting roles from Cannon Matthews coaching the nickelbacks to Bill Johnson coming in as a senior defensive assistant

06:31But the bottom line is this the Bears are bringing in experience fresh ideas and some serious talent to their coaching staff

06:38So what does all of this mean for the 2025 season? Well, it means change

06:43It means the Bears are building something new. Ben Johnson is going to bring a high-powered offense

06:51Dennis Allen is going to make sure this defense is disciplined and aggressive

06:56Special teams are already solid. The pieces are in place now. It's all about execution
