00:00This LEGO piece is designed wrong. Let me explain. Basic 1x2 slopes have an angle of
00:05exactly 45 degrees, which is great for adding some details to your custom creations. But,
00:10when you stack two of them together, the lip on the front prevents the two slopes from aligning,
00:14changing the overall angle between these two points to just over 50 degrees. The lack of
00:19a buildable 45 degree slope can make building certain things nearly impossible, but I found
00:25a clever way around this problem using a modified version of the original slope. On its surface,
00:30this slope isn't anything special. Placing a couple of plates in the gap gives us the same
00:35lip problem as before, and using just one plate doesn't work either. However, if you do some
00:40tricky LEGO math, you can use some specialty pieces to attach the slopes at just the right
00:45height to perfectly align them, allowing me to build anything I want using a smooth 45 degree
00:50angle.
