👋 Welcome to the 4th Walt Disney World Vlog! At the end of January 2025, my husband Benji and I spent 2 weeks at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, visiting all the Disney Parks and Universal Studios. In this 4th Vlog, we go to Hollywood Studios and try Roundup Rodeo BBQ, see Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom and spend a day at Animal Kingdom. We make a bit of a boo boo at the end but the real theme for these vlogs is 'keeping it real' 🤣. 00:00:00Good morning everyone, welcome to our Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom vlog, gonna be
00:00:13bringing you along for day 3 and 4 of our Walt Disney World trip.
00:00:16I have had to do a new makeshift outfit, I'm wearing basically the same jumper as yesterday
00:00:22and I have a new jacket on which is very exciting.
00:00:25I wasn't actually sure if I'd definitely be wearing it this trip but the minute I bought
00:00:29it yesterday I was like, I hope I do get the chance to wear it so I've styled this
00:00:33lovely pink outfit.
00:00:35Is it what I planned?
00:00:36Obviously not.
00:00:37These dresses will hopefully get their use in the next few days but it is still chilly
00:00:41so we're going to Hollywood Studios today, we've got a very Toy Story themed day.
00:00:46We have a reservation at Roundup Rodeo BBQ which is the new-ish restaurant in Toy Story
00:00:51Land.
00:00:52Plus we have Lightning Lane Multipass for Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog Dash, we also
00:00:58threw in Beauty and the Beast show which we don't really need Lightning Lane for but
00:01:00it was one of those ones where we had to pick in a group category thing and that was just
00:01:04the best option.
00:01:05And we also have an individual Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance which will be our
00:01:09first ride this morning.
00:01:10So that's the day, we're hoping to potentially see Happily Ever After, Magic Kingdom tonight
00:01:16if it's not too cold, we haven't managed to stay out for any fireworks yet.
00:01:20And this morning we had a bit of a lie in so it's currently, it's about half past ten
00:01:23so we stayed in bed, just relaxed, took it easy because we've had a pretty hectic first
00:01:27few days.
00:01:28And we watched The Traitors so we're trying to catch up and be in real time so we don't
00:01:31see any spoilers.
00:01:32With it being full Toy Story day today.
00:01:34So you had a Toy Story outfit and I had a Star Wars outfit.

00:02:07I have never been so grateful for some sunshine after three days of the cold.
00:02:08And do you know what, I actually am not mad about the cold because I feel like there's
00:02:17pros and cons.
00:02:18I've not needed to have full body SPF on, my makeup has stayed on, I've quite liked
00:02:23being in my kind of cosier clothes, but also when you're not feeling 100% and it rains
00:02:29and it's that like cold, misty rain.
00:02:31It just amplifies everything.
00:02:33It's really hard to vlog too.
00:02:34And the pictures looked horrible yesterday.
00:02:37We took a few in the morning and it was like, there's literally no point.
00:02:39I googled, will my Sharkflex hair dryer work in the US and it said yes, because of the
00:02:45voltage, wattage, but I went to use the hair dryer this morning, didn't work, so I've not
00:02:50been able to diffuse my hair.
00:02:52So in the mornings it will just be drying on its own.

00:03:18We were possibly a little bit negative on day one about our room, but it's fine.

00:03:23I'd love one more cupboard, like I'd love that wardrobe, that the rail to be a wardrobe
00:03:28and have a couple more places to store things.
00:03:31Other than that, everything's fine.
00:03:32The shower could be better.
00:03:34So we've got on the Skyliner at the Riviera because we're staying at Martinique in Caribbean
00:03:38beach.
00:03:39So this one is actually a lot closer.
00:03:40However, we do have to change at our Skyliner before we go to Hollywood studios, which is
00:03:46fine.
00:03:48It's still a lot quicker, isn't it?
00:03:49Yeah.
00:03:50This makes all the difference when it's like the green and the blue and yeah, it's like
00:03:54we're in a different place.
00:03:55It's a completely different experience.

00:04:16And this is to Hollywood studios, so it's very easy.
00:04:20I feel like it sounds like a fact to have to change, but it's not at all.

00:18:44meat. Every meat under the sun. We've got some mac and cheese, tater tarts,
00:18:50coleslaw, corn on the cob. I think that's everything. When's the rest of our group
00:18:54getting here? I know it's loads of food isn't it? Loads of food. We'll just nibble and graze
00:18:59on what we want. All right we're on to puddings now and we've been given a little selection
00:19:03of loads of different pies. There's like chocolate and apple and lemon and blueberry. There's a
00:19:07little forky cupcake. Peach and strawberry. Very cute. Okay we have just finished our meal and
00:19:12we're both in a massive food coma. There's so much to eat. We didn't finish it all obviously
00:19:19but I do really like this family style meal situation but there are times where I feel like
00:19:26it's probably better value for either breakfast like we did for garden grill and fill us up the
00:19:30whole day or for dinner if you haven't eaten a lot during the day just because there's so
00:19:35much food. Whereas for a lunch. An early dinner like a five to eight. Yeah for a lunch I think
00:19:39it's a it's a bit big but I really love the restaurant. I love the location. The food quality
00:19:45was amazing. It was really nice. It was really good food. There were some things that were hit
00:19:49and miss like the corn on the cob was covered in cheese. I didn't really need it. I really love corn
00:19:53on the cob. Yeah I didn't need it. I was just signing the bill giving our server Josh a tip
00:19:59and I put everything on the magic band. It just feels easier but Disney do take the cost at the
00:20:06end of each day so it doesn't rack up in one big bill like you would on a traditional
00:20:12room I guess. It takes it each night. So anyway food was good. The restaurant was fun. The server
00:20:19was nice. I think we're going to do slinky now. We've got slinky dog dash now at half past three
00:20:25and then we're going to take a break. As you can hear my voice is really strained. I'm feeling very
00:20:29tired and I'd like to lie down. It's been a great day so far. We can have a leisurely mooch back
00:20:34can't we. Love a mooch. But yeah we were here for an hour and 15 minutes so it's quite a nice
00:20:40leisurely lunch. We're ready to go now. What are we rating it out of 10?

00:21:48always have three at one time but you can only do one ride once. There is another Lightning Lane
00:21:54package that's like several hundred dollars and you can go go on every single ride. This one was
00:21:59like 20 odd dollars for the day each but the only other thing is that there's not been anything else
00:22:03you want to check in for so Rock and Roller and Tower Terror are both down. Yes thank you. And
00:22:11Runway Railway. Oh yeah that's not available either. So we've done what we can. Done what we

00:27:24It was fun. We have had about an hour chilling in the room which was so needed and so nice. We watched
00:27:30the traitors final so no one can spoil it for us. So it's actually worked out quite perfect really
00:27:35because the final was only about what like four hours ago UK time something like that. We are
00:27:41heading to Magic Kingdom this evening. We don't actually do a lot of like two park days. I know
00:27:46some people do four parks in one day. Let us know if you want to see us do that challenge one day but
00:27:50for now we rarely do two to be honest. Okay let us know in the vlog if you want if we want us to do it
00:27:55six weeks again when we're in the parks. We don't always do two parks so it's quite nice that we've
00:28:01done Hollywood Studios today and now this evening we're back in Magic Kingdom. We are literally only
00:28:05heading there to see the fireworks but if we get anything else done then great because it's actually
00:28:10weirdly timing wise quite good right now in the winter time because fireworks are on at 8pm
00:28:15tonight but the park doesn't close till 10pm. Very very excited that it's Happily Ever After this
00:28:21evening. It's a special one for us because Happily Ever After is a song we have loved for as well
00:28:28since the first time we saw the show back in 2018 was it? We loved it so much that we actually had
00:28:33the song playing when we got married when we were signing our marriage certificates.
00:28:40So that's how special this song is or songs the whole sequence but the actual
00:28:48Happily Ever After song the individual one is a really special song to Benji and I so we're really
00:28:53excited to see the fireworks. Once the fireworks finish we have until 10pm if we want to and then
00:28:58we can have a lie-in tomorrow so if we did want to bash out some rides, check out the wait times
00:29:03then we can. So I'm keeping the same outfit on but I've added my Minnie Mouse zip up jacket. My
00:29:10ears were a very generous gift my lovely friend Victoria who we're hopefully going to see tomorrow
00:29:14so you'll see later in this vlog she bought me these for Christmas and they light up. Is that

00:30:31tapped in the groups go out the window. I have a fact for you. Oh no it's my job. Yeah no you're
00:30:37gonna like this. Okay so it costs Disney fifty thousand dollars to put on the fireworks every
00:30:44day but they make fifty thousand dollars every day in popcorn alone. That's crazy. So the popcorn
00:30:53funds the fireworks. That's cool. Yeah. I can't go on straight back to you. I promised we
00:30:58hadn't rehearsed this. Do you know that Disney is the second highest purchaser of explosives
00:31:05behind the US military? That makes sense. For their fireworks. Wow. Oh my god guys it is so busy.
00:31:11It is absolutely rammed. We've walked all down Main Street and it's been the same. We just keep
00:31:17walking and hope we might find a spot. Okay so it's not perfect but we should be able to do
00:31:22Tomorrowland Speedway as soon as the fireworks finish. Then we can do It's a Small World and then
00:31:28Mad Tea Party. So we've got three more experiences on Lightning Lane. They're not the best but better
00:31:34than nothing so I'll take it. And this is where we're standing right at the back of this sort of
00:31:40hub area. That's the Walt and Mickey statue. Oh it's nearly starting and my magic band is flashing.

00:35:27never lets us do a trip without going on it and it's currently 15 minutes away but we have
00:35:31lightning lane. I would never ever wait for this. You can usually get on it in like five minutes
00:35:37sometimes. So this is where we're currently at, it's Small World. Then if we want to we have Dumbo,
00:35:43then Buzz and then we're gonna go on Tron waiting. Oh it's going down, see? It was 110, now it's 95
00:35:49but we're gonna go on that and do it in the dark. We're gonna wait for it. It's the only ride we're
00:35:53gonna wait for. Oh it's broken down. Small World's broken so we're gonna go straight to Tron. It's
00:36:02gone down to 80 minutes. Yeah, I know I can't see it being more than an hour to be honest with you.
00:36:06I don't want to wait. But we'll time it, when we get in the queue we'll have a look at the time
00:36:10and we'll see how long it takes. It's so good at night. It's like techie avatar land, what's it

00:37:08the Riviera. They had blueberry and lemon pancakes and they were really nice and now we're heading
00:37:13out to Animal Kingdom, staying out for the rest of the evening and going to Geeko at Animal Kingdom
00:37:18Lodge for dinner tonight. So the weather is looking warmer, it's still chilly so I will be wearing a
00:37:24little zip-up jacket on the way there. But this is my dress today, it's from a brand called Nobody's
00:37:28Child. Paired it with my old Cath Kidston bag and I've got my Hoka trainers on and my ears were
00:37:36hurting behind my head today so I packed a little leopard print hair bow. So that's what I'm doing
00:37:41today, it means I can have my sunglasses on my head as well. You've got a nice little top on today
00:37:45but we can't see it yet and he's got his shorts on. It's like a pink, it's got leaves on it,
00:37:52little Nike top. Yeah, got a bag of clothes here because we thought we'd change into something a
00:37:57little bit nicer for Geeko. Not that this outfit's not nice but like just something a little bit more
00:38:01dressy because Geeko is a bit of a fancier restaurant isn't it? So that's the plan.
00:38:05There's a bus pulling up. How's it going? Animal, go on, be animal. Yay,
00:38:11am I the only ones on the bus? That makes me so happy, we're reading our books every time we're
00:38:18on a bus or in a queue. I love Animal Kingdom, this is actually my favourite park. It just has the
00:38:25nicest vibe, it feels like pure escapism. So many great rides, great food, I love the animals and
00:38:34one of the first rides we're going to be doing is Expedition Everest so I'm very excited. Oh look
00:38:39with the blue sky as well, perfect. We're going to go find some lockers. Good morning, I'm good,
00:38:45how are you? Good. Good. You're good. Very good, thank you. Okay, lockers I think are $10 from
00:38:52memory. Yeah, standard, that's all we need and I carry a little bit of cash so if I just give you
00:38:57these bills, pay for that for the day. We don't do it every day obviously but just for those times
00:39:01where it just saves us going all the way back to the resort. There we go, bags in. Oh perfect.
00:39:09We were meant to be meeting up with my lovely friend Victoria today but she's also lost her
00:39:13voice. So she's struggling vlogging and she's going to rest which is probably the right thing
00:39:20to do so we're going to have to see her Tuesday now because we're off to Universal for a couple

00:39:31it's so nice in the sunshine. Animal kingdom in the sunshine is just, it's necessary. It's lucky
00:39:37it's still got its leaves on because obviously we're in winter. Don't you say that every time.

00:40:05you can pick one ride from group one, two rides from group two. Once you tap into your first ride
00:40:10groups then don't exist and then you can keep booking your next lightning lane once you've
00:40:15tapped in for one so you can consistently have three at one time. Does that make sense?
00:40:21We are 100% coming back here to do frozen minute made lemonade with mango rum
00:40:27or frozen minute made lemonade with raspberry vodka. Oh yes, the food and drinks here are so
00:40:35good. The reason I'm telling you that we've got lightning lane is because it's a Saturday and
00:40:40it's obviously the middle of the day. It's the first sunny day they've had in a couple of weeks
00:40:44so obviously it's going to be busy and I think lightning lane will be absolutely massively
00:40:49beneficial. This is one of my absolute favourite rides and it's one of Disney's most expensive.

00:52:06So there's no point in us going much further.
00:52:09So we're just going to go and hang out at the hotel, get drinks in the lobby, soak it
00:52:14up, maybe see if there's any animals out, look in their gift shop and then go for dinner.

00:54:03Then we started talking and then they were like are you reading anything interesting
00:54:05and then they are also reading the same book and they're at the same space as us, literally
00:54:11And then we were talking all about American culture, they're from Texas, where to go in
00:54:14Texas, ways we say things, 2 hours of just really lovely chat, it was so good and that's
00:54:20the kind of thing that's really hard to explain on a vlog when you do a DC trip because you
00:54:24just never know who you're going to meet, who you're going to end up chatting to, cast
00:54:28members we speak to, we're just waiting for so many people in queues as well, like when
00:54:32you're waiting for things, someone will overhear what you're saying and they'll join in, the
00:54:36Skyliner especially, the always trend Skyliner, those ladies yesterday were so sweet, you'd
00:54:42never see them again, we now have an hour until dinner, I've had 3 hot chocolates, I
00:54:47had 3 and it only cost me $4, I think it must be retail, it was amazing, it was so nice,
00:54:54some of the hot chocolates have been hit and miss around the resorts but this was nice,
00:54:57I'm sure a lot of you will have been screaming at your TVs for the last however long this
00:55:03segment's been, I'm so embarrassed, turns out we got the bus to Wilderness Lodge which
00:55:11famously isn't the same place as Animal Kingdom Lodge, I think it might be on me because I
00:55:18just saw the bus that said Lodge Place and went right there we go, you were on your phone
00:55:24so I was like oh here we go, it's also my fault because I know this is Wilderness Lodge,
00:55:28we've been here before, we've eaten here before, we've walked around here before, I know this
00:55:32is Wilderness Lodge, in my head we were at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and I said Benj where
00:55:37are the animals, and I also said hang on, we were at Animal Kingdom, this bus took a
00:55:41long time to get here, it took like 20 minutes didn't it, 15 minutes, I was like what's that
00:55:45all about, so we've only just figured out, luckily it's only 4 past 7, we've got 45 minutes
00:55:50to our reservation, we said when we got here, I'm surprised you can't see any signs for
00:55:54Gco, surely they'll make a big deal out of it, funny enough why would they have signs
00:56:00for another resort, I can't believe that, we literally have wasted hours here thinking
00:56:04we were going for dinner here, so if you ever mess up don't worry, it's kind of literally
00:56:08our job, and we know Disney, we have superior Disney knowledge, apparently not, so it just
00:56:17goes to show that you can easily make mistakes, everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those
00:56:22days, oh my god I can't believe I'm so embarrassed, I've just ordered us a lift because there's
00:56:26no way we're going to be able to get a bus back to Animal Kingdom, that would just be
00:56:28embarrassing in the best of times, and then have to switch again, so we're just going
00:56:32to get a lift, 20 dollars later we'll be at Animal Kingdom Lodge, it's already so expensive
00:56:37to eat there at the best of times, Ben's just been getting confused about a lot of resorts
00:56:40because yesterday he was, oh no it's so embarrassing, we were chatting to our viewers and they said
00:56:47oh we're staying at Riverside, and I said oh that's next door to us, that's cool we're
00:56:51neighbours, and then like 30 seconds later they said Riverside again, and I'm like, no
00:56:56no, and then I said, oh that's lovely, we've been going to the Riviera, and I was like
00:57:02oh, so I just dived inside for a little bit, so that's fantastic, yeah there we go, let's
00:57:07try again, and also now it's the second shop that we get to look around, it is, now you
00:57:12think about the long day, you were just saying that I think it felt familiar to us both,
00:57:16obviously we have been to Wilderness Lodge, this is obviously it, but actually we've been
00:57:20here too haven't we, yeah we've been to all of them, a lot of them, not all of them, most
00:57:25of them for the trees, where we did the Christmas tree trail, yeah, here we go, Animal Kingdom
00:57:30Lodge, I even filmed the mat walking in, I will be honest I still don't know where Jiko
00:57:38is, but here we go, another lobby to show you, we were meant to do this weren't we,
00:57:43we were meant to show both, there are so many amazing restaurants here at Animal Kingdom
00:57:47Lodge, and I was torn between Boma, Jiko and Sanaa, because apparently they're all really
00:57:53good, but I picked Jiko in the end, because I thought that we'd like the menu, but to
00:57:59be honest now I'm looking at it, this sounds and looks nice, oh it's a family buffet, okay,
00:58:04and then this one, I think Sanaa is where they have the like bread selection that everyone
00:58:08talks about, which could be nice too, casual family restaurant with a savannah view, and
00:58:14then this one is a quick service, so yeah we're going to Jiko, but let me know if you've
00:58:18tried any of the others, and what they're like.
00:58:51Gorgeous, food was good, very good quality, really beautiful, my halibut was perfect,
00:58:58and my steak was really gorgeous, we didn't have starter, we didn't have dessert, we did
00:59:01have beautiful wine, yeah, from Cape Town, in a vineyard right next to the one we went
00:59:07to on our honeymoon, literally eight minutes away, which was really nice, I will say it
00:59:12felt like a really nice quick service, rather than like, in terms of atmosphere, not food,
00:59:18atmosphere wise, it felt like a nice quick service, it was weird, it was lacking like
00:59:22that speciality edge, you didn't have any nice music, and it was a bit like loud, and
00:59:27it was bright in there, weirdly we were there for an hour and a half, and we only had mains,
00:59:33yeah it took a long time, that was odd, yeah, I wouldn't rush there, and I wouldn't recommend
00:59:38it if you're looking for somewhere really nice, I think Lascellia, Steakhouse 71, and
00:59:44we're also going to California Grill, that's all coming up in the future vlogs, so make
00:59:47sure you subscribe, so you see what we think of those in comparison, but we wanted to try
00:59:51something different, for that price point, I felt like that's better, it was over $200,
00:59:56for two mains, yeah that's it, and wine, and a bottle of wine, but yeah, for that price,
