00:14Cheikh Loh Din Bok Kamaruddin, who was the chairman from 2009 to 2016, said no one had

00:20ever told him that Loh, also known as Choe Loh, had such influence within 1MDB.

00:26He said the company's decisions were made by its directors after considering proposals

00:30and supporting documents from management staff and external consultants, and no one mentioned

00:35that Choe Loh was Najib's proxy.

00:38Loh Din said he first met Loh during a 1MDB meeting on September 26, 2009, when he was

00:44just a member of the firm's board of directors, while Loh was representing the Saudi royal

00:49family.

00:50Former 1MDB chairman Bakeh Saleh previously told the court that Najib told him to firm

00:55up a decision on the US$1 billion joint venture with Petro-Saudi International Ltd, as it

01:01was a government-to-government initiative with Saudi Arabia.

01:05Najib is standing trial on 25 counts of money laundering and abuse of power over alleged

01:101MDB funds amounting to RM2.28 billion deposited into his M-Bank accounts between February

01:162011 and December 2014.
