00:00I was teaching Afroben to students in Canterbury and I thought why isn't there anything in this
00:05city honouring her? She's huge! So I chatted with my daughter and we started a little campaign and
00:11a small educational charity and then I joined forces with Stuart at the Canterbury Commemoration
00:17Society who've put up other statues and together we really got the ball rolling. We are so excited
00:23about today and so excited that Her Majesty the Queen is visiting Canterbury to do the honours.
00:31We were thrilled that she accepted our invitation to come and honestly couldn't think of anyone
00:37better. The Queen is a huge supporter of literary charities, she's a huge supporter of literacy
00:44endeavours, she loves reading and Afroben was a huge royalist. She herself would be absolutely
00:52thrilled if she knew today the Queen of England were unveiling her statue, she would be just made up.
