00:00:00It's not easy being a Manchester United or Spurs fan this season, sat in the bottom half of the

00:00:05Premier League with not many games left. And so today, Dad and I are going to rebuild our clubs,

00:00:10but not from the start of the season. That's right, today we are going to be using the real

00:00:15world results to start from February 2025 and to try and salvage these horrible seasons.

00:00:21The same point system still applies though as we once again try to beat each other across

00:00:26five seasons on Football Manager. Dad, our teams aren't doing too well this season. There's no

00:00:32beating around the bush. No, definitely not. We are both dreadful. I mean, I think you're

00:00:36having a worse season than me, but history-wise, you're definitely alright, aren't you? Yeah,

00:00:39this is the worst Manchester United season since the last time they were relegated. I mean,

00:00:43injuries hasn't helped either of our sides. I think you've had a long period of time with

00:00:47injuries being bad. We now have one, which is being really bad. And as you can see,

00:00:51we are using a real-life up-to-date database. We kind of had to send the

00:00:56Tottenham game versus Man Utd just to make sure it went the right way. This is as accurate as we

00:01:01could get it up until the weekend before. You're probably watching this when this came out. So

00:01:07we're going to try and rebuild our teams from 15th and 12th from February, which means no

00:01:14first transfer window either. No, we're not allowed to do that. So just tactics is going to help us

00:01:19tactics. And I am being so ballsy with this because I I'm using Ameren's tactic.

00:01:26Yeah, I did think of doing it, but I just, I don't know. I'm using the Ameren tactic that

00:01:31I've built myself and kind of used previously and had some success of it. It was okay. Yeah,

00:01:38I'm going to try and go for it. I'm locking in Hoyland, Garnaccio and Patrick Dorgue

00:01:42into the lineup. This is as updated as we could possibly get. I think even Rashford

00:01:48is at Aston Villa, for instance, obviously Dorgue is at Manchester United. And if we're looking at

00:01:52your Spurs side, dad, I have got tell there. So you have got Matisse tell you're kind of being

00:01:57as accurate as what you possibly can. Well, we did go for that. Then we sort of like trying to

00:02:01be as accurate as we can for the rest of the season because we've got the players to use now

00:02:05with the real manager hasn't. So you're locking in Madison on the left. Yes. Yeah. That's the

00:02:09only difference really. I'm not happy with the strikers. So I wanted to keep Son up front. That

00:02:14was the only way I could do it really. Could just lock Son up front. Yeah. All right. But

00:02:20yeah, but I couldn't make my mind up where I wanted Madison to play. So I thought I'd just

00:02:23take him out there and keep him there. He's an inverted winger. And that's what I did like him

00:02:27playing. I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to stop with Charleston from playing. Yeah.

00:02:32Understandable. We haven't played any games because we're going to try and do this from

00:02:36this point, lock it in the tactic and just go into the end of the season to the point system still is

00:02:42as it normally is. But of course, we're basically only playing one third of the season in season

00:02:48number one. So you actually have a bit of advantage there, dad, although we won't be

00:02:52having points against each other because that doesn't count. That happened in real life. We've

00:02:56both taken over. We also couldn't simulate the cups, which meant that you are against

00:03:00Arsenal in the cup. But we've kind of agreed if you win that we don't count that on point.

00:03:04Yes. I'm not really there in the cup. Yeah, exactly. I lost. I also I don't think I'm in

00:03:09the FA Cup. I think they've. Yeah, I've got knocked out by Arsenal, which, of course,

00:03:14was the opposite. Arsenal fans, we knocked you out of the cup. The reason everybody always says

00:03:19about the reason why I always have a go at Arsenal fans. One of my best mates. Yeah, he's yeah. He's

00:03:24an Arsenal fan. And I'm honestly it's twice a week at the minute I'm getting stick from him.

00:03:29So if you're wondering why I'm constantly having to go at Arsenal, I'm taking all of my rage out

00:03:34that I would be directing at him to you guys. I hope you appreciate it.

00:03:40But that's the reason why I have a lot of hatred for Arsenal, because I get it in the neck every

00:03:44single day from him. But what he can't come back on is that I always go, hey, we may be we may be

00:03:50absolutely crap, but we've still won more trophies than you have in the last five years. And he hates

00:03:54it. Oh, straight away. That's not a good argument. I'm like, oh, riled him in his head. He's probably

00:04:00not watching it because I don't think you watch the videos, but still I'm in his head. And that's

00:04:04Maggie Knife fans is how you do it. Easy, right? Let's simulate season number one, then see what

00:04:09happens. Right, season number one. Good thing is neither of us got relegated. Yeah, I'm happy with

00:04:18that. That's positive. Yeah. When I'm not happy with is it by the looks of it, dad, you overtook

00:04:23me on the final day of the season. 12th place there for myself, 10th place for you. You won

00:04:29the last game of the season. I lost the last game of the season, which wasn't great, but it has meant

00:04:35that you gain the first point in this Liverpool have gone on to win the league, which I think

00:04:39they will do in real life. I think they've kind of got that lockdown. They've got a game in hand

00:04:44as we are looking at. And the three teams gone down all the three teams I expect to go down to,

00:04:49maybe not in that order, but I think the bottom half of the league looks rather close to what I

00:04:54expect it to end up like. Yeah, definitely. Yeah. The top half. I don't really know yet. There's a

00:04:58couple of teams in there that I expect to be honest. The first, like six, I actually think

00:05:03that could be accurate. Maybe not on forest. Hold on. I'd like to see them. Hold on. We were talking

00:05:08about this the other day when we got to see Chris Woods win the golden boat. Yeah. I don't think

00:05:12it's going to happen, but yeah, I'd like to see forest. I want to see Chris Wood lift the

00:05:15Champions League trophy. That would be great. Great. Wouldn't it? Yeah. I'd like to see them

00:05:20in Europe again. So as long as they finish in one of the European spaces, I think they'll be happy,

00:05:24but I'd like to see that as well. Yeah. Yeah. Historic club in English football deserves to be

00:05:30another glory of another glory season in Europe. That'd be beautiful. So let's have a look. I mean,

00:05:35the profile of the league, this is obviously only from when we started somehow and Holland still

00:05:40scored 19 goals, which is a joke. I think at the minute Salah's in real life is the top scorer,

00:05:45but he's nowhere near so early in Holland would have won the golden boot for going off just as

00:05:49that. There we go. So we can't really look at that too much. You've got one point. We'll briefly look

00:05:52at the competitions. I was running up and then you'll believe that's competition that they are

00:05:57still in. So that if I want it. Yeah. Spurs is still in it as well. Yeah. Man United and Spurs

00:06:02are favorites to win that trophy. Thankfully it wasn't. And I was, and I was, um, I was listening

00:06:07to it the other night and they said that we're in the opposite sides of the draw so we can meet in

00:06:11the final. Oh, wow. We won't because we will both be eliminated quite early on, but that is the,

00:06:17uh, the dream scenario. I'll tell you what I was going to do it for last weekend. I'm really

00:06:20glad with dinks. It was one nail and it's boring. You won, but I would say if they get to the final,

00:06:26we've got to do a live stream. Yeah, definitely. Yeah. God, did you think I was saying we should

00:07:28And on my side of the things, let's have a look. 12 goals from Bruno Fernandez,

00:07:32which is interesting. He's also always wanted as well by Alex had Xerxe got seven. He only

00:07:38started nine. So I knocked in Rasmus and he only got seven as well. And that is a story of

00:07:43Manchester United season so far. So I don't know. Uh, we've obviously got some big names coming

00:07:48back. Anthony James Sancho. I know I say like big names and then Anthony, but genuinely,

00:07:52how good is he in rep teased? Like absolutely weird. It's so good. Oh, it's absolutely crazy,

00:07:58but there we go. Rashford of course, we'll be back. I can't see his name on there, but I'm

00:08:02sure it's there somewhere. Uh, so transfer budget. If we're looking at the transfer budget,

00:08:07I've got 81 million pounds, but my wage budget sucks. To be honest. Let's have a look at your

00:08:12transfer budget, dad. You've got 121. Wow. With a very big wage budget. So you've got a lot more

00:08:18to spend than what I have and you're one nil up. So let's have a look and see what happens season

00:08:23two. Well, we both had very busy summers. I think in real life, we'd like this to kind of happen.

00:08:28The huge overhaul and rebuilds bringing in players that we would love to see at our clubs. I also

00:08:35stayed away from a couple of players because I felt like you guys would be like, Oh, they're

00:08:39just signing these players again or typical Manchester United target. So I have tried in

00:08:45the second part of my transfers to be a little bit different. So let's start things off. Harry

00:08:49Maguire has gone to West Ham for 15 million pounds. Now in real life, he actually has been a

00:08:53bit of a rejuvenation. Oh, I can't believe how good he's playing again. So it goes to show all

00:08:58he needed was a bit of love and a manager who wanted him and a three at the back system. Um,

00:09:03but on the game, not great, is he? So same as Diallo, our best player out for the rest of

00:09:08season gutted on the game. Not quite as good. So I've loaned him out to Newcastle and he's

00:09:13actually playing every single game. Now, the first two players I brought in was Jeremy Fringpong.

00:09:17People are going to go, that's actually a Manchester United target, correct? Whether we

00:09:20bring him in or not, I don't know, but he has been targeted by Manchester United before. And

00:09:25Diamonde, of course, sporting player kind of cheating, but I've got rid of Harry Maguire.

00:09:30And I thought there's no better player that I could bring in at this point.

00:09:33I do like signing that guy as well. If you want a good centre back, he's a player.

00:09:36Then another 128 million pound went out and this is where all the big names left. Luke Shaw,

00:09:41gone to Al Nassir.

00:09:45Hasn't started a game for Manchester United for a whole calendar year. Absolutely mental.

00:10:22have cost me 50 million pound, but I thought everybody is going to give me stick if I sign

00:10:26Victor Giocarez. So instead, I spent an extra 20 million pound. I'm bringing in Marcus Turam.

00:10:31Very similar age and obviously profile of player. Can also play on the wing.

00:10:37Great signing, I think. I think I'm happy with a Marcus Turam sign in there. That's really good.

00:10:41Now, signing for 70 million pound, he scored three goals in three games so far with one assist.

00:10:47Started very well for him at his time at Manchester United, which I'm very happy with.

00:10:50But I have also signed Tammy Abraham. 24 million pound. I thought, well,

00:10:54it's a bit of a bargain really.

00:10:56It is, yeah. He's doing well in Italy as well at the moment.

00:10:59Sold Luke Shaw, brought in Alejandro Balde. 20 years of age, can play right down that left

00:11:05hand side. Barcelona's left back, of course, isn't as highly rated as what I think he is

00:11:09actually right now in real life, but he has the potential on the game to be one of the

00:11:12best left backs in the world. So there's that. Arnie Engels, loaned him straight back to Celtic.

00:11:18This is obviously another one for the future because he's only 20 years of age. Let's get

00:11:21him first in football by loaning him back to Celtic for the season and then assess where we

00:11:25are next because we still got the likes of Kobe Meunier, who I want to give minutes to.

00:11:29Now, I have changed formation drastically too, and I don't think I've ever played this

00:11:33style of formation before because I have three players down the left hand side and only one

00:11:38down the right. So this is what we're looking at right now. A defensive winger in behind

00:11:43and inside forward. Let's quick pick it, remembering that I've got Fringpong

00:11:47nailed into that right back position because the rest of the lineup I'm kind of happy with.

00:11:52It isn't James Sancho because he's not at the club. He's loaned out. It would be Garnaccio.

00:11:57That's kind of what my team is going to be looking like this season,

00:12:00and I'm very happy with that. De Ligt and Diamonde kind of swipping around.

00:12:04Either way, we're all good. We're all happy. We haven't played each other,

00:12:07so I don't have to spoil anything yet. We have... I started very well.

00:12:13You couldn't ask for free order games really, could you? All you needed was Man City in there

00:12:17as well. So we started very well. The transfer window is still open because we decided to just

00:12:22go from here, to be fair. Now, the rest of the fixtures for Dad, let's have a look. So transfer

00:12:28wise, let's look at your transfers first. £131 million on the outs there, as well as Reguilon

00:12:34and Fraser Forster also leaving. And then you've got £93 million in there and £168 million in,

00:12:41and obviously you can see why Brighton wanted Rasmus Hoyland. His dad has spent £86 million

00:12:47bringing in the strikers. 19-year-old striker, I think you've got to get him in early while you

00:12:51can just about afford him, because if he has a good start... £90 million for him. Yeah, but if he

00:12:56starts well and you've got the good side of him, he's an easy 100-plus million player then.

00:13:01You've paid 90% of that already. I've got him already.
