During the pandemic lockdown of 2020, 100 people signed up for an eight week, online Stress Management course. The instructor who set it up, did not set it up for an 8 week recurring Zoom call, but instead 8 years of weekly meetings. The instructor couldn't figure out how to undo this mistake, so the meetings just continued on and on and on. The instructor stopped showing up not long after the 8th meeting and most of the 100 or so people stopped showing up as well. But a small core of people continued to meet.
Our story is about these brave, confused souls as they discuss all sorts of things, share their problems and triumphs, but invariably, one of them ends up saying something completely untrue and instead of listening to the others and considering that they might actually be wrong, they do not back down and continue down the rabbit hole of untruth.
