00:1985 minutes left to play.

00:31into an early lead.
00:35Seko Fafano would send a good ball in, and Jeremie Jacquet would get a touch which almost
00:39doubled the advantage.
00:41Yevhan Diouf, the goalkeeper, coming up with an excellent stop to keep the score at just
00:461-0.
00:47And after the break, Diouf would be called upon again, Assignon's ball in, Fafano's header,
00:52Yevhan Diouf scrambling across to keep the scores close.
00:56Late in the second half, on would come Hafiz Ibrahim, the 19-year-old, hoping for a debut
01:01to remember, and he did get one, but not in the way he'd have wanted.
01:04Two bookings meant he would be shown the red card as well, and Rams became just the second
01:09team to finish with nine men this season.
01:11Rennes made it three wins in February to move clear of the relegation battle.
01:17On Saturday, there was a crucial clash at the top end of the table as Lille hosted Monaco,
01:22and there was an early goal for the young Icelander, Hakon Haraldsson darting in and
01:27firing past Radoslav Majeski to give Lille the advantage 12 minutes in.
01:35Both sides came in with three wins in the last five games.
01:39Monaco came in off the back of a 7-1 victory last time out, and they'd have a massive chance
01:44with the number 7 to tie things up, but Ben Seguia poked wide just after half an hour
01:50gone, and Lille remained 1-0 in front, but that would get better for the home team just
01:57before the break.
01:58A back pass from Singo caused problems for Denis Zakaria, Haraldsson the lucky recipient
02:03of the loose ball, and it came back to him from Majeski, the goalkeeper.
02:07Haraldsson with the brace on the rebound.
02:12Suddenly, Monaco found themselves two goals down just before the interval.
02:19Haraldsson with his fourth of the season, but Monaco weren't quite finished.
02:26Before the break, there was still time for one more big chance.
02:28Akliucic's header from Mika Biaref, and Biaref's clever backheel teed up Takumi Minamino to
02:34reduce the deficit all in the last couple of minutes before the half-time interval.
02:42Monaco were back in the contest, and they were looking for the leveller in the second
02:46half.
02:47Instead, the goalkeeper for Lille came up with a massive stop.
02:53Georgi Lerikina denied initially, and Chevalier getting down to keep out the rebound from
02:59Minamino and hold on to Lille's advantage.
03:03They held it to the last to claim a 2-1 victory and move up above Monaco in the table.

03:14Angers who had an early penalty.
03:16Dylan Batubinska with the foul.
03:18Himad Abdele stepped up to score from the spot, sending the keeper the wrong way and
03:23giving Angers the advantage.
03:26Abdele calm and composed to put home the penalty.
03:33Jimmy Levener, the man who won the penalty, would then send in a decent cross from the
03:36left-hand side.
03:37It was headed against the bar, and Abdele was there on the rebound again.
03:41Angers, two up in the early stages and coping brilliantly without Esteban Lepaul.
03:46Ibrahim Mniam, the unlucky one, to see his header come back off the bar.
03:50Abdele doubling the lead, but it was cut in half ten minutes before half-time.
03:56Ivan Cardona with a superb glancing header.
03:59Florian Tardieu with the corner.
04:01Ivan Cardona sending it from the front post to the back.
04:06And Saint-Etienne were back in the tie.
04:11In stoppage time, late on in the end of the first half, Benjamin Bouchouari would go ever
04:16so close to getting the shock leveller for Saint-Etienne, who had struggled so much in
04:22the early stages.
04:23Cardona with the follow-up.
04:24Bouchouari off the bar.
04:26Angers remained in front at the interval.
04:29On came David Tachveli for Saint-Etienne for the second half, and he'd play a big roll
04:33after the break.
04:35Petro carried the ball forward.
04:36David Tachveli kept a cool head to tee the ball up for Pierre Equa.
04:41The first goal of the season for the Sunderland loanee, Yahia Fofana beaten as the ball zipped
04:47off the turf and in off the posts.
04:50Equa with a lovely finish.
04:52Saint-Etienne level at 2-2.
04:55With 15 minutes to go, more good work from David Tachveli would turn the game on its
04:59head.
05:00The Georgian got away down the left.
05:01The square ball turned in by Cardona.
05:05From two down.
05:06Now they led 3-2.
05:07But there was one more moment to come right at the death.
05:11Maxime Bernauer penalised for bringing down Farid El-Melali.
05:14Ahmedou Bambadieng tucking away the penalty for 3-3, his first league goal since the last
05:19meeting with Saint-Etienne back in October.
05:22A point apiece for Saint-Etienne and Angers after a six-goal thriller.
05:25Tempers would flare after the final whistle though, leading to Angers assistant coach
05:29Jean-Michel Badiane receiving a red card.
05:35Auxerre were winless in 10 coming into their game against OM, but unbeaten at home in 9.
05:40Roberto de Terbi's team had the first big chance of the game.
05:44Quentin Merlin with a cross-cum-shot that whipped all the way over the area and back
05:49off the posts.
05:51But it would be a moment of magic from Gaetan Perrin that gave the home side the lead.
05:55He cut inside from the right flank and picked out the far corner with a brilliant left-footed
06:00strike.
06:02Auxerre looking to complete a league double over OM for the first time since the 1987-88
06:10season.
06:11And there would be a controversial talking point that helped them in the second half.
06:14Cornelius sent off.
06:17And then with 15 minutes to play, Sinayoko would run clear and earn a penalty for Auxerre.
06:23The defender and captain would step up to score from the spot.

06:35lead to 3-0 later on in the second half.

06:42A comprehensive 3-0 win takes them nine points away from the relegation fight, inflicting
06:48a fifth loss of the campaign on Marseille.
06:54Nantes were aiming to bounce back from last week's big defeat when they met Lens on Sunday.
07:0036 minutes in, Moses Simons set up Douglas Augusto's header before 19-year-old Louis
07:07Leroux scored his first senior goal for Nantes, tucking in on the rebound to make it 1-0 to
07:13the home team.
07:14The move created down the left-hand side, Simons crossed, Augusto's header saved, the
07:21rebound into the back of the net.
07:24On the hour, Malang Sarr penalised for handball, Moses Simons tasked with taking the penalty
07:30and he scored it to double the Nantes lead.

07:37too.
07:39Just two minutes later though, Jean-Charles Castelleto also handled in the area.
07:43Neil El Ayounoui hit the back of the net for Lens to bring them right back into the game
07:48at 2-1.
07:49A red card later on though, Fontenbala and Zola, he threw the ball in the direction of
07:59the referee and himself ascending off.
08:05His dismissal having come on as a substitute threatened to derail Lens' momentum, instead
08:11it was Nantes who needed a wonderful bit of goalkeeping.
08:16Agbonifo with the cross, a missed control in the middle, Tompouilly forcing it towards
08:21goal and the rebound from the angle also stayed out.
08:26And in stoppage time, Francois Coquelin would touch the ball across the face of goal for
08:33Meshaq Elia to get his first Nantes goal since joining on loan from Swiss side Young Boys.
08:39The home side held out for the win which edged the hosts away from the cusp of the relegation
08:44places.

08:55Nice had the chance to go third when they hosted struggling Montpellier on Sunday.
09:00Evan Gessand would set up the first goal for the home team, Jonathan Klaus picking out
09:05the perfect finish in off the far post.
09:08Gessand had missed one good chance himself in the early stages, but he was on hand with
09:13the well-played through ball and Gessand was back to his best again in the second half
09:19too.
09:20His pace down the right-hand side, setting up the ball across the middle, Gaëtan Lébaud
09:25assisting for Hicham Bouadoui, a simple finish for the Algerians, second goal of the season,
09:31but it was all about the great work from Gessand over on the right.
09:36Nice cross set up, a dangerous shot initially, and it was good work in the middle to slot
09:41it in for Thunel Nice.
09:44Bottom club Montpellier were struggling in search of a goal from somewhere, they find
09:49it so difficult to score away from home.
09:53They were unfortunate late on in the game to see Junior N'Dayi having a stooping header
09:58hitting the bar.
09:59Unlucky for Montpellier, but a 16th defeat of the season, Nice up to third.
10:0717th place, Le Havre had lost six on the bounce at home.
10:11They were looking to snap that run against Toulouse, but early on, Zakaria Abouclal had

10:21He caught the ball as it dropped, the sweet contact firing the overhead into the corner
10:27leaving the goalkeeper standing.
10:30Le Havre rocked early on, despite Toulouse missing several chances to double the lead.
10:39Le Havre would be the next side to find the back of the net shortly after the break.
10:44Issa Soumare placing a header perfectly into the corner.
10:49Le Havre, for now at least, making Toulouse pay for the lack of that second goal, but
10:55they would find one not long later, Kinkoué fouling Abouclal in the box.
11:00Vincenziaro picking out the bottom corner with his precise penalty kick and Toulouse
11:06were quickly back in front, having been pegged back at 1-1.
11:12Things got worse for home team Le Havre, Junior Mwanga penalised for a foul on Franck Magritte.
11:19His yellow was upgraded to a red with more than half an hour left to play and the guests
11:23quickly took advantage.
11:25Gabriel Suazo picking out Aaron Dunham in the centre, Dunham's shot slipping past Gorgelan
11:31in goal and sneaking in to make it 3-1 Toulouse and there was still worse to come for Le Havre.
11:40Dunham would get the ball on the right hand side, send it into the box, a good chip in
11:45for Franck Magritte, his first goal in the league since last May and he took it brilliantly,
11:52flashing in to complete the second half route for Toulouse, 4-1 the final score, Le Havre
11:58deep in trouble after a 7th straight home loss, Toulouse up to 10th.
12:08Strasbourg and Brest were separated by just one point before Sunday's meeting, the home
12:13team had won their last two, Brest were looking to recover from their heavy Champions League
12:17defeat by PSG in midweek, the guests in red slightly had the better of the chances, Mathias
12:22Pereira-Lage hooking his second half effort across goal and past the far post and inside
12:29the last 10 minutes it would be Mathias Pereira-Lage once again denied this time from the left of
12:36the penalty area, Kenny Lalla touching the cross onwards in his direction, Pereira-Lage
12:43coming up against Djordje Petrovic in the Strasbourg goal and in the 89th minute, Nanasi
12:48with an incisive pass, he allowed Emmanuel Omega to get in behind, this time it was Brest
12:54keeper Bizot who was there to make the crucial stop and keep the game goalless and that's
12:59how it finished, nothing to separate the two teams on the day, Strasbourg a 7th, one point
13:04and two places above Brest.
13:10The 23 Sunday night game would make for a thrilling finale to the weekend, Lyon took
13:14on leaders PSG and the guests carved open the Lyon defence after 12 minutes, a masterful
13:20through ball from Kvarec Kelia picking out Ousmane Dembele, round the keeper he went
13:26but last man Clinton Mata making a tremendous recovering block and hammering into the frame
13:31of the goal for his troubles, he had bailed out his team until the second half at least,
13:36Bradley Bargeler's ball across made it all the way through where Ashraf Hakimi was running
13:41in unchecked, the full back finding the finish to put the Parisiennes ahead, 8 minutes into
13:47the second half, Hakimi slotting into the bottom corner and just 6 minutes later, the
13:54Kvarec Kelia-Dembele link up would click once again, this time Dembele had more work to
13:59do but didn't he do it well, a delightful run and finish, pulling PSG 2 to the good
14:05just before the hour mark, goal number 17 of the season for Dembele and a breathtaking
14:11demonstration of the sheer talent at the disposal of the runaway table toppers, Lyon for their
14:17part were not going down without making this a battle, Mikhail Tadze bursting forward into
14:22the box brilliantly, he unselfishly picked out Ryan Scherke in the middle, Scherke duly
14:27lashing in with the low finish to make it 2-1 after 83 minutes, Mikhail Tadze keen not
14:34to be outdone by his Georgian countryman Kvarec Kelia, 2 minutes after the Lyon goal
14:40though PSG had one more ace up their sleeve, Nuno Mendes getting free on the left, Goncalo
14:45Ramos with a two-touch combo, Li Kang in finding Ashraf Hakimi again and he had the bottom
14:51corner of the Lyon goal just dialled in, the two Portuguese players linking up and how
15:01about that from Goncalo Ramos, it would have made a fantastic assist but Li Kang in chose
15:07the selfless option, Hakimi completing his brace, there was more to come though from
15:12the stubborn home team, patient play out on the left before the cross was sent bouncing
15:16into the middle, Mikhail Tadze with an incredible overhead effort, Donnarumma parried and Maitland
15:22Niles denied on the rebound too and the drama was still not quite done yet, Ainsley Maitland

15:38Tolisso and Lyon reduced the deficit for the second time, this one came deep into stoppage
15:44time and in the end that was all they could muster, it was Ashraf Hakimi's day, what a

15:55lead extended now to 13 points at the summit of the Ligue 1 table.
