00:05in San Fernando City, Pampanga,

00:07which is far from providing jobs in Japan, Taiwan, and several other countries in Europe.

00:14This is the story of Bien Manalo.

00:17Catherine, who is only 27 years old, has not yet surpassed the opportunity

00:23in the job fair held by the Department of Migrant Workers in their place in Pampanga.

00:28This is a good opportunity for her to fulfill her dream of working in Japan.

00:35She applied as a farmer there.

00:38The salary in Japan is higher than here in the Philippines.

00:42The income is better there.

00:45I am thankful because there is an opportunity like this.

00:49Catherine is just one of the thousands of applicants

00:52who joined the OFW Bagong Pilipinas Servicio Caravan

00:57in San Fernando City, Pampanga.

00:59Different jobs in Japan, Taiwan, and several other countries in Europe

01:04are included in the 20 Accredited Philippine Recruitment Agencies

01:08that are included in the caravan.

01:10Its goal is to reach the programs and services of the Department of Migrant Workers

01:15to the newly recruited Overseas Filipino Workers

01:22and their families in Region 3.

01:24It is anchored in the Directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

01:28to protect the rights of OFWs.

01:32Some of the services provided by the agency are pre-employment,

01:36welfare and legal assistance, and reintegration programs.

01:40To our beloved OFWs and their families,

01:44this event is for you.

01:47Your sacrifices and hard work fuel the dreams of our nation.

01:52Let us do so with a hope in our hearts,

01:54determination in our spirit,

01:56and unity in our purpose.

01:58The two agreements are also included in the caravan.

02:02First, the Memorandum of Agreement between the DMW,

02:06Department of Labor and Employment Region 3,

02:09TESDA Region 3, and the Provincial Government of Pampanga

02:12on providing jobs and upskilling programs to OFWs.

02:17And the agreement between the OFW Hospital,

02:21Jose V. Lingad Memorial General Hospital,

02:24DOH Region 3, and the Provincial Government of Pampanga

02:28on providing healthcare services for OFWs.

02:32The former OFW and breast cancer survivor, Cherry,

02:37is very grateful for the help of the DMW

02:40under the Action Fund and Livelihood Program for Overseas Reintegration.

02:45Thank you very much for this program.

02:47Because of this, I was able to go back to the Philippines.

02:51I feel that I am not alone.

02:54Our government is here.

02:55Our local government is here to support me.

03:00Some government agencies are also part of the program,

03:03including the Department of Foreign Affairs,

03:06National Bureau of Investigation, and Overseas Filipino Bank.
