00:00The Bureau of Immigration has decided that the country will not be held

00:05if the deportees will go to other countries.

00:09Meanwhile, the agency is closely monitoring the guerrilla operations of POGO.

00:15Patricia Lopez of IBC has news for the country.

00:22When they deport, the main goal is to deport them from the Philippines

00:26and ban them from re-entering.

00:28Wherever they go, it's not the responsibility or the problem of the Philippine government anymore.

00:35That is what the Bureau of Immigration has given

00:38after the recommendation of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission, or PAOC,

00:43that connecting flights should not be allowed

00:46to the deportees who were arrested and deported

00:49who are connected to the illegal operations of the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators, or POGO, in the country.

00:55According to the PAOC, many foreign nationals have violated the law

01:01because of escaping through connecting flights.

01:05The B.I. has explained that the Philippines will not hold the purchase of deportees' outbound tickets

01:11because it will be taken for them by the country itself, wherever they go.

01:17The agency is also monitoring the guerrilla-type

01:20or small and fragmented operations of illegal POGOs in the Philippines.

01:24According to the B.I.'s data, POGOs hide in condominiums, gated subdivisions, hotels,

01:30and even in resorts in Metro Manila and other provinces.

01:35If your establishment, your house, your building, your resort is being used by illegal online gaming companies,

01:45that, you know, then you have a liability under the Philippine Immigration Act.

01:50Those are considered harboring illegal aliens.

01:53Ten years in prison for harboring illegal aliens.

01:56As of now, more than 200 B.I. foreign nationals are being deported to the country by POGO.

02:04At the moment, 11,000 more need to be arrested to be allowed to leave the Philippines.
