00:00This image on screen right now is who I like to call the cursed image queen. She's better known
00:05by her pseudonym me love me a lot and this image I feel encapsulates everything about why I want to
00:14even talk about this cursed image creator. This woman who's really good at making images that
00:21feel really uncanny and really disturbing. For those of you who are not in the know about what
00:29a cursed image is, this is a really good example of what a cursed image is. It's basically an image
00:36that just leaves you with a very very eerie disturbing kind of feeling. Sometimes it's not
00:44even about horror, sometimes it's just the quality of it is not high enough. Other times it's just
00:49the imagery itself is disturbing and challenging and it leaves you wondering whoa what is this?
00:58Like this head here bro, what is going on here? And this is what I love about me love me a lot,
01:07her ability to use her own body as a medium for her art. I think that's what really flipped
01:16everything for her when she started creating. Her works look very cursed Japanese kind of,
01:24I don't know how to explain it. Maybe if I said if you've ever played that video game Fatal Frame
01:30or any survival horror out of Japan it feels like that. There was a movie called The Ring as well
01:36and I'm not sure if it was inspired by Japanese horror but The Ring, that thing that crawls out
01:43of the well, that girl, she somewhat channels that energy really well as well. She likes putting a
01:50morphed version of herself in a lot of her images. She was doing this a lot in 2018, 2019 when she
01:58was coming up. There would always be an image of her contrasted by another image of her. What I
02:04like about this and how she composes her images is how much work and effort she puts into the makeup
02:10and the fact that you can see that when she was starting out she was fighting a resource war. To
02:17get the chain you know she kind of just used those things you find at the end of lanyards.
02:21You know she used some photoshop skills. Her hair, she probably had to get that done anyway and you
02:27can see even these jewels on her nose are like glued on here, these diamonds. But the whole image is so
02:34surreal and so well put together and she continues to do this. Look at these pants man, they've got
02:41Scoot. Scoot is the name of her brand which goes super super hard. We'll get into that a bit later.
02:49She's got the Rey Mysterio tee, more chains which seem just improvised as well. These gloves, they
02:56actually look like customs. Like she spent a lot of time taking some gloves that she bought and
03:03morphing them into customs. You can tell because they've got this little thing hanging from them
03:07and that's what she does with a lot of her work. Bro even the floating thing and this was before
03:12that floating image trend came into social media. We've got her styling pokemon cards,
03:19got the pussycat looking like Pikachu and yeah here she is with Hinata eyes.
03:26I love how she does these makeup patterns around her and she can really shapeshift. She's the
03:34shapeshifter of IG content. It's to create another personality so she can be somebody else that she
03:43always dreamed of. She is very obsessed of the thing that she loves and she wants to have all
03:53the experience in life. Bro you know when someone can just style like this without a care in the
04:00world. Of course if you don't know this symbol right here is the symbol for Scoot. She uses this
04:07iconography a lot and I'll explain it a little bit later. But it's so tight how she adds the,
04:15I think this is Glaceon. This is like an Eevee evolution from Pokemon. She adds in other Pokemon
04:21which I don't know because I only know Pokemon up to Gen 3. Forgive me I'm old so I'm going to keep
04:27it old school. I don't know these Gen 4, Gen 5, Gen 8 type Pokemon. The way she styled everything
04:34with the boots and with the bag. The bag is doing a lot. MLMA's style in general is maximalism. She's
04:43what we need on this planet to kind of counteract the huge amounts of minimalist design that we are
04:50being fed and it feels like poison at this point. It feels like people are trying to get us to accept
04:56a philosophy of minimalism. So yeah here she is with her Gengars all pimped out and the thing
05:04about her and just using anime characters. It's a common trend with the brand Scoot. The sign
05:11is the sign for Phi. It's a Greek sign which represents the golden ratio. If you don't know
05:18what the golden ratio is maybe you've seen the golden spiral before. That's a part of it. The
05:23golden spiral is used to show great form and composition in images and in nature. It's
05:30theorized that everything in nature is built off of the golden spiral. It's this ratio that I think
05:37is 1.1618 but it just forms everything beautifully in nature and the golden ratio is actually based
05:47off a guy called Fibonacci. A sequence of numbers. Basically each number is the sum of the past two
05:55numbers in the set. So yeah she's got this thing which really just reminds me of Neon Genesis
06:02Evangelion. Like this is so Neon Genesis Evangelion. Even the fact that she's using
06:08Christian imagery. I'm not sure if she's Christian or not but she definitely does use a lot of the
06:13imagery. We've got the 2222. Not sure what the number symbolizes. This is the lowercase version
06:19of that symbol that she uses a lot. The circle with the line in it. Phi. She's using it again
06:24and it it's also used to represent harmony and unity. It's also used in that sense. And then we
06:32can see here on the on the jacket that she's wearing itself or the shirt. It's actually a
06:37shirt. It has her brand Scoot. What is this? Yo what is this? This is too much. I think what was
06:49going on here is that she had a series coming up with Netflix. She had a mini series
06:56which she collaborated on and I suppose the character in the series represents her as well. But
07:02what? What is this? What is this one? Dog. What are we looking? Bro is this an umbilical cord? Is she
07:11like on some alien predator type shit? I like this a lot. This is very minimal compared to her other
07:16styles but this is just a really cool look with the mask. The mask really puts everything together.
07:23Imagine if this woke you up while you were sleeping. There's another image I think I missed. Wait wait
07:28we're gonna go back to it. Yes okay. So she also does a homage to Junji Ito. Junji Ito is a manga artist
07:37and this particular frame I've seen it homaged a lot. People really liked this look. I haven't
07:44really read the manga but I've seen this on the internet too many times to not know what this is.
07:50Harajuku girl parki and I'm wearing this newest school like jewelry that I designed. I'm testing
07:58it out today how it feels but so far I really like this. This is a Korean brand doing really well in
08:06Japan. This matching shorts with my Owen's key ring. So rumor has it that in 2022 or 2021
08:18Balenciaga decides to invite a lot of people to this event that they're having and what they do
08:24for the invites is that they actually give people these iPhones bro. So they had a bunch of broken
08:31old iPhones and they tapped into that. They bought a bunch of them and they incorporated that in the
08:37invite and they'd send it to you in this bag with something else. So what MLMA decides to do with
08:45that is that she decides it's not enough to get the invite. No she's gonna style the actual bag,
08:52the Balenciaga bag and wear it like it's an outfit. And here we can see if we zoom in a bit
08:59we can see more of the imagery of Scoot. The Phi sign is used as the sun. Sometimes I feel like it
09:07looks like Saturn, the planet. You can see in a lot of the imagery that we'll look at later when
09:12she draws these symbols she kind of puts flames around it to represent the sun. So this is all of
09:18her jewelry custom made by her brand Scoot. Here she is rocking it again. We can also see that this
09:24symbol here, the Phi symbol, the one that she uses for Scoot as the main iconography, the main logo
09:31for Scoot. It has a snake swallowing its own tail on it and that is to represent Ouroboros. I don't
09:40really know the story of Ouroboros but I figure it's a symbolic representation to represent
09:46infinity. You can correct me if I am wrong about that but I think that is the symbolism behind that.
09:52And here we can see closer that Balenciaga. Balenciaga. Yo Balenciaga really popped off in
10:01South A. Once the piano artist, the Ama piano artist, started rocking with it she got crazy
10:07grills. This is some of her design work, more of a design work. She does also design for men. I think
10:14everything at Scoot is meant to be unisex except for the dresses and bikinis. Basically if it's not
10:20blatantly feminine it's supposed to be unisex but yeah you're not you're not gonna see me rocking
10:26this. I think this looks really good like this is a good look but you're not gonna catch me rocking
10:31this person. I like the jeans though. The pants they're actually crazy and again you won't be
10:36able to see it really well here but this is manga panels stitched on to the jean pattern as well.
10:45So I can't see from which manga it is but there is that fusion of anime meets fashion meets chaos
10:53and I personally like that about what MLMA does. She creates chaos and adds more chaos to it until
11:03it creates order. That's really good. It got her like collabs with Porsche, Billie Eilish, Roxas stuff man.
11:10Her brand is insane. Oh the Alexandra McQueens. Okay let me tell you about these ones. I'm not sure
11:18who hits who up but she collabs with Alexandra McQueen and she makes shades out of her own hands
11:24bro. So I'm not sure how they got these done with the mold. So I figure, I figure she had to pose
11:30like this or something of the sort and then they created a mold of that but it's kind of crazy how
11:37they got everything down even to the nail polish or the makeup on her nails. This is so sick and
11:45yes she is rocking it at the Alexandra McQueen event. What I like about MLMA is that you can
11:53really feel the influences that she's sourcing from. She sources a lot from artists like Kors
12:00and Takashi Murakami. Takashi Murakami famously is the guy who did the cover for Kanye West's
12:09graduation. So that's where I first encountered his work but he is normally on Hypebeast. Here she
12:16is back on Alien vs Predator stuff. She even sketched this out on paper and then she moved
12:23the design to 3D. This, this is not Pichu, this is not Raichu. This is Megachu, an emo version of
12:34Pikachu. It's got very strong MLMA iconography on it. There's that symbol again of the sun. It's very
12:42distinct and the flame patterns I was talking about. She also tends to use crosses a lot. Again
12:47we can't be sure whether it's Christian cross. Bro doesn't this make you want to buy this though?
12:53Where Pikachu or this Megachu version of Pikachu gets like the extra ears is that she Frankenstein
13:01stitched other Pikachu ears onto this thing. Which is harsh on those old Pikachus but it had
13:08it had to be done. It's also giving a Margin like Margin Vegeta, Margin Buu with the M. So yeah she's
13:17sourcing from a lot of things and when you see this artist work what I really mess with and why
13:22I think her images are so hard and her work is so crazy is that she really just goes into trance
13:30state when she's working on her work. You can really see her just channel this zen level of
13:37focus and love and passion and ambition and she just makes confident strokes when she cuts her
13:44hair. She just cuts it off bro. She doesn't really overthink the consequences of where she's going
13:50in terms of the artistic process. She just keeps going until it manages to create something that is
13:58spectacular or something that's jarring. Something that's cursed bro. You know I really like girls who
14:04can dress alternative. People who have their own style. I wouldn't even say just girls. I just like
14:09people who are not afraid to push against the grain of what everyone else is doing and dictate
14:16their own style and their own part in life. I got wings look at them. Again everything's so maximal
14:23that's what I'm saying. She takes the time to draw on her designs that would have sold even without
14:30the drawing but you can tell it's just about the artistic process. It's about the love. Here are
14:36some sacrificed Pikachus. Look at these boots bro. She's got this image I forgot to put in the
14:41photo where she's wearing this jacket. This huge black jacket bro. Like excessively big black
14:47jacket. She looked like BMO in Big Hero 6 if he decided to become a Dark Knight basically. So this
14:55is from a lookbook of her newer work. She decided to go vamp this year for 2025. I think that's where
15:02they're going with their brand Scoot. And yeah this is also more recent. Check out the claws bro.
15:09The amount of time and effort to just get these claws done and then have like the solid grills.
15:20And if it wasn't enough just a way of forming patterns on anything and painting them in or
15:26doing it in post-production. This is the image that I think I'll use for the thumbnail. Does
15:31this not say thumbnail bro? This says thumbnail. What's sick about this tongue is that it's probably
15:37like a prosthetic. It's probably fake but the texture on it looks really really close to real.
15:45You know what I'm saying? And then she took the time to do hearts with the baby hair. I think the
15:51first person I saw who really made baby hair pop like that and made it super popular was FKA Twigs
16:00which I should probably do a video on at some point. Fur coats are back. I don't need to say
16:05much more than that. You know when you don't try and you're just so effortlessly cool? That's what
16:12this is. And this is just trusting your intuition. This is just creating and trusting your creative
16:19intuition on everything you do. And you'll end up thinking about hey let me wear a really sick
16:25huge white jacket, big boots and then add some angel wings that look like a clothing line with
16:33sheep's wool on it. There's so much going on here even though it's so simple and calm. She's a master
16:39at manipulating different textures, shapes and forms and even colors to make a cohesive image.
16:45But this is just you know like her hair was also crazy here. You get me? I gotta get you guys a
16:52video of this. Just the angel wings moving. I'll play it on screen if I can find a video of it.
16:59But yeah just the fact that her hair was also so crazy but she didn't even get to exploit that
17:05because there was so much of everything else going on and she really wanted to show the jacket
17:11that she decided to use her hair to frame her face. Dog the levels. I like what she did here with the
17:19mischiefs. She added some ornaments to them, some crosses ornaments there and she blacked them out.
17:26So if you don't know a few years back Mischief released these red astro boy looking ass shoes
17:33and the internet went crazy for them. I wanted to cop a pair but then I saw the price and I was like
17:39hey not this year. But we're doing better this year so maybe. And yeah she even managed to put
17:46her brand Scoot at the bottom of the soles. Lots of love and care. That's what I admire about her.
17:53Here's a shoot that she did for Dazed. The photographer here does a masterclass where he uses
17:59the road as leading lines to lead us into her arms which inevitably gets us to look at her face and
18:05whatever's going on with her hair at the back here. This is more stuff for Dazed. Again here's her logo
18:11on her head and on her shirt. We can see the Ouroboros 5 symbol. The combination of the two.
18:19Here's another one of those cursed images. More from a shoot from Dazed. What is that? What have
18:27they put on her nails? Is this glue bruv? Is this glue? I really do think that someone like this
18:35should not only be in her lane as she is with fashion and art but she really needs to be given
18:41a chance to work on outfits for a movie. For live action. I think she'd do really really well
18:49in live action crafting together. You know sometimes the cast has to wear some hectic
18:54outfits or some costumes. Even props. She could even do well in props. She's just so willing to
19:01push at a craft and just push at makeup and push at everything that you really want her on the set
19:09for live action for things like horror or anime. Bro don't you think it would work if she did that?
19:15I think it would. Sometimes I wake up and I strangle myself. Can't breathe because I put so
19:21much pressure on myself. This is just hard bro. I'm not even gonna explain why. I wish she wore a
19:28different tee though. I think the tee it doesn't suit like the aesthetic she was going for. You know
19:34this striped colored tee but just this part of the image here. I'm hot flame from the top. Nah nah.
19:42I rarely get inspired by people like this. I just want to talk about who this person is as a person.
19:49You get me? Because we can analyze everything these artists do but when they give us a little
19:55bit of their personality we have to embrace it. She is a 31 to 32 year old woman who likes to be
20:01called daddy. Her core fans caught onto this and they like to call her that as well. Y'all do what
20:08y'all gotta do. In terms of her willingness to be creative she was once broke. She was once a
20:15struggling artist as a lot of artists are. When I say broke I mean in context of where she is right
20:22now. I don't mean broke like broke broke. I have no context of that situation but she made a whole
20:29lot more guap in the more recent years and she did that by selling socks. She kept it simple.
20:37She decided that socks don't look cool and aesthetic enough and no one does socks correctly
20:44and also I won't have that much competition in the socks industries and that got her brand
20:49Scoot up and once Scoot was up she had money to play around with and push her craft further and
20:57that's what led her to collab with all of these other brands all of these magazines. She even
21:03dropped some crazy work and when I say crazy I don't necessarily mean hard this time. I mean
21:10it's kind of hard but this time I just mean actually mentally crazy a bit in terms of what
21:16she did with KFC and Crocs. Look at these Crocs bro. Nah. So her character and her personality is
21:23obviously also part of the sell, also part of the package. Her calling things like water, confidence,
21:29juice and just saying and embracing the fact that I'm cool. Brush, cook out all your eyes, drink this
21:39confident juice, cool dresses, low brain, oh my god, cool. She thinks she's cool that's why this stuff
21:48comes off. She mentally moved herself to a spot where she doesn't really care what the rest of
21:54y'all think. She's just gonna create art and whether it hits or it misses she's who she is and she uses
22:03every piece of medium and craft. That's why I rock with her because it's not just about what
22:10she does it's the fact that she's willing to do every medium, every craft. Bro she became
22:16a SoundCloud rapper for an era. She's willing to do whatever it takes to make sure her craft
22:24is heard. I killed my old self and created a worse but hot one. Here's some work she did with Gucci
22:32where again she's holding her head and this was actually on the runway part of one of their
22:37summer, spring or autumn, winter campaigns. So yeah that's enough glaze for one video be sure
22:43to let me know if you liked this version of my content. Please leave a comment because I want
22:49to do this more. To be honest I enjoyed it so this is probably going to be the content
22:55for a little bit. This is Loy signing off. Peace.
