00:00:00Vanilla, official, main. An island filled with up to a thousand players. A breeding

00:00:14ground for the most toxic groups and cheaters alike. But, what happens when you take two

00:00:21solo veterans with a combined 30,000 hours of Rust experience and pit them in this harsh

00:00:30wasteland for seven days straight? Well, in this adventure, we're gonna find out.

00:00:42See, our story began as two nerds, Gawliak and I, on the beach. Trekking across this

00:00:50fresh island and into the deep snow, we laid down the foundations of our home. However,

00:00:56this was no place for a doer, and the clans around grew larger. But, with the odds stacked

00:01:02against us, we fought. And despite the odds, survived throughout Whitenay, before finally

00:01:08resting. Little did we know, our adventure was only just getting started.

00:01:18Day two, and Gawliak was the first awake. Somehow, we had survived the night without

00:01:23getting raided. But, it quickly became clear, we were far from safe. Our neighbours, Grappling

00:01:34and his gang, were under siege. Like us, they had clearly grinded throughout the first night,

00:01:40but it wasn't enough to save them. And just two grids away, it was only a matter of time.

00:01:46Before that, would be us. Sensing imminent danger, Gawliak got straight to work, building

00:01:52and upgrading on our roof. Without which, our chances of defending any raid would be impossible.

00:01:58For even a chance of survival, our base had to be complete. But for that,

00:02:03there was a lot of work to be done. And it was then, that I finally arose.

00:02:09So, a new day had begun. And already, we were fired up. With the threat of losing everything

00:02:28on the horizon, we needed to get to work. Yep, I think plan for today,

00:02:38work down tier 3, and get gears. We need to get garage doors. There is a tree in our base.

00:03:00I was placing embrasures on the roof, when Gawliak had a strange encounter.

00:03:05Oh, I'm, what? Did you just get two tapped?

00:03:09Yep. I heard that.

00:03:10At the gas station, yeah? I'm in the roof with embrasures,

00:03:13I can't really help. Wait, I think they might live in that stone two by one, east.

00:03:21I just saw a player outside of it. Yeah. Oh my god.

00:03:24I just saw a naked run out of it. Maybe we hit that right now.

00:03:35It seemed we had some new neighbours, but they were familiar faces. Grappling.

00:03:40The same group that had just been siege raided, were already back. And they had now moved right

00:03:46next door. We had to take care of them now, before they got set up. Oh, I think I see one of them

00:03:52coming from gas, right now. He's dead. Oh man, we're so low on low grade. Oh, you're kidding,

00:03:59I need one more low grade for the last molotov. Fuck it, I'll have to do without. Wait, I see one.

00:04:08Dead, dead. Nice. I think there's one inside gas as well, I don't know what he has though.

00:05:02themselves up once again, or at least that's what we'd thought. And at the same time,

00:05:06it had come to our attention that we had a new neighbor in the area.

00:05:09Which is weird. Let's see, I guess.

00:05:13Yeah, I've just killed him again. He lives nearby. And it wouldn't be the last we'd be seeing of him.

00:05:19After using the last of our low grade on Molotovs, the refinery was added to the list

00:05:23of things we needed. And so, with grappling out of the way, it was time to focus on scrap.

00:05:28Oh, this place here has expanded on the water. So many solar panels on the roof.

00:05:34Yeah, no. They have been grinding while we were gone. That's for sure.

00:05:36And I think this must be 3D Wani's base here. Oh, I see him now, yeah.

00:05:43We had a plan for how we were going to get scrap. But first, we wanted to farm the nodes of our

00:05:47area. So, while still just day two, the land around was chaos. And who knew when we'd get

00:05:52another chance to farm it. By the time we made it back from farming, it was now night. And we

00:05:58used this to prepare for our scrap mission. Grabbing diving gear, we were headed for the

00:06:03underwater labs.

00:06:05Okay, we're good to go.

00:06:06Yeah, let's go. Ready.

00:06:16All right, you ready?

00:06:17You want to go first or should I go?

00:06:18I can go first. I don't mind. Sacrifice me.

00:10:42at contesting for these better monuments.

00:10:45But we weren't gonna give up.

00:10:46For the time being, we would get to work on some necessary features in the base.

00:10:50You know, the first time I built this base, I forgot to put a bug in there.

00:10:55I was able to subside some stuff and I built it in.

00:11:00Oh, that reminds me.

00:11:01Way back in the day, probably like four, four years ago, I was at maybe 20k subs.

00:11:05I was playing a wipe and I happened to be on the same servers alone in Tokyo

00:11:09and I locked myself in my own bunker

00:11:11and I had to call him to get him to raid me out of my bunker.

00:11:15So that's just part of the video where Tokyo just comes and explo-raids me out of the bunker.

00:11:19It was hilarious.

00:11:21What was I working on?

00:11:22Well, we had plenty of sulfur.

00:11:24More than enough to raid.

00:11:25However, to make gunpowder, we needed lots of charcoal.

00:11:29So I was making an automatic charcoal generating system.

00:11:33By piping a box that we'd load with wood.

00:11:36That, don't take that out of context.

00:11:38And connecting that to three furnaces, we will infinitely generate charcoal from wood.

00:11:57Now with our charcoal farm ready, we just had to get the wood to keep it filled.

00:13:39Well, as an enjoyer of doing things the old-fashioned way,

00:13:42I realized that I could take advantage of living so close to the saltwater

00:13:46to actually run a cloth farm.

00:13:48Collecting saltwater using jugs and using the purifiers to clean it,

00:13:52I should, in theory, be able to upkeep and grow cloth

00:13:56without needing any blueprints usually required.

00:13:59I guess we'll see how it goes into practice.

00:14:02I think I might be the only motherfucker in history to spam water purifiers to run a farm.

00:14:10If anyone else has ever done this, let me know.

00:16:17and while the cloth situation was now being worked on, we still needed a way to get scrap. Without

00:16:23which, our progression would come to a halt. So, we kitted up in another attempt to head

00:16:29down trains. Except, we would never end up making it that far.

00:18:45already with a tier 2. And with only stone walls, we had to move quick.

00:18:51Okay, so we need 2400 scrap for C4. Needing a lot more scrap to research the C4,

00:18:57we grabbed all of the components we could find and headed to our recycler.

00:19:01And thanks to our charcoal smelter, we were able to churn down more sulfur into gunpowder.

00:19:28And after recycling down almost all of our components, we just had enough scrap.

00:19:33This was all or nothing. It had to pay off.

00:20:09And with the C4 now crafted, we didn't have another second to waste. It was go time.

00:24:16Which is great.

00:24:17However, this monster of a base required almost 100 garage doors.

00:24:24And as you may come to find out, each one would matter.

00:24:28And so we were only a fraction of the way there.

00:24:33But it was a good start nonetheless.

00:24:39Well as using their gears for garage doors,

00:24:41I used their high qual to upgrade our ceiling to armored.

00:24:45Soon we will be ready to move our main loot up to the top floor.

00:24:49One of the most important advantages of this design.

00:25:00And as I worked on the base throughout the night, so did Gordon.

00:25:04Both of us collaborating towards this one astronomical project.

00:25:15Oh bollocks, I just upgraded a frame to high qual.

00:25:33Oh, my seeds are ready to be cloned again.

00:25:36Beautiful.

00:25:38On a server as ruthless as this, no resource should be left wasted.

00:25:42We were investing everything into the base.

00:25:46And almost as if to remind us of that, as we completed the upgrades for now, we heard this.

00:25:57Okay, the center section of all three floors is now armored.

00:26:05That is pretty beautiful.

00:26:07Nah, the base is so, so strong, man.

00:26:09Like, if they come to us now, they have to use so many rooms.
