00:44Tonight, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Magic's greatest duo.
00:52That's right. Penn & Teller have been performing together for 50 amazing years
00:59that include multiple Broadway shows and award-winning TV specials.
01:03They're the longest-running headliners in Las Vegas history.
01:07And of course, they have been the stars of this show for 12 seasons.
01:13Let's hear it for the legendary Penn & Teller!
01:17Since we're celebrating Penn & Teller's golden anniversary,
01:41we've got some special surprises planned tonight.
01:44So let's get the night started by bringing out our first special fooler.
01:48We appeared on Season 1 doing a box trick.
01:53I came up with that trick.
01:55Yes, you did, but it didn't fool Penn & Teller.
01:57I think that could have been my fault, though, because the paint hadn't dried.
02:00It still hasn't come off, by the way.
02:02We appeared again on Season 3 doing a box trick.
02:05I came up with that trick, too.

02:09We applied again from Season 7 through 10, no reply.
02:13But look who came crawling back.
02:16We did. We literally begged them.
02:18This time, I've come up with the illusion.
02:22I've spent years working on this.
02:24And I've spent years figuring out how to get the trophy home.
02:27First impressions are everything,
02:29so I've had Las Vegas costumes designed and tailored.
02:32This is a schematic of the stage.
02:34We enter here, we perform miracles here, here, here and here,
02:38receive trophy here and place trophy here.
02:41Who's this? Don't worry about her.
02:44I've commissioned the very best Las Vegas illusion builder to build this.
02:49That's the same illusion we did in Season 1.

03:04It's our pleasure to welcome back an act
03:06who appeared on the very first season of Fool Us, Young and Strange.
03:14Happy anniversary, Penn & Teller.
03:1650 years together, absolutely incredible.
03:18Now, obviously, back then,
03:20these were the kind of costumes that magicians used to wear, so...
03:23Now, some say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing
03:26over and over and expecting a different result.
03:28So that's why we are back with another box trick.

03:35We are attempting to be the first act in the history of Fool Us
03:39to come back on to Fool Penn & Teller and do the same trick again.
03:43This, however, is very different.
03:45This box trick is not homemade.
03:48This box trick is our gateway to a Fool Us trophy.
03:51And since Season 1, a lot has changed.
03:54The box is now raised off the floor,
03:56so you can see underneath it at all times.
03:58No trap doors possible.
04:00Also, the front and sides of the box are open,
04:02so you'll be able to see inside at all times.
04:05Thirdly, and most importantly,
04:07Penn, would you please take your Sharpie and would you sign Strange?
04:11That way, if he does magically teleport tonight,
04:14you'll know it's definitely him
04:16and not a poor impersonator or a stuntman.

08:51And I think you may know that you can trust us
08:55when we say your case is going to go back empty this time.

11:21In fact, Fool Us was my big break.
11:23It's the reason I got my own show
11:25right here in Las Vegas.
11:27I've tried to fool guys multiple times.
11:30I've also performed at Penn and Teller.
11:32And Matt King and I busted them.
11:34If we don't fool them,
11:36if they bust us,
11:38we'll give them each a trophy.
11:42We did not fool them.
11:45But that trophy doesn't count.
11:47It feels like a cheated.
