BMitch discusses the Deebo Samuel trade with former Washington wide receiver Santana Moss. Santana believes the veteran is a fantastic fit for the Commanders.

00:00man, they just they traded for
00:02People Sam actually did the night. We was in there thing at the thing with Gary work
00:07Didn't you didn't pop up at that moment? Yeah
00:10Looking at Deebo and his the way he played his skill set. How does that fit into his office? I
00:18Mean, that's a good question, man
00:19I think you know when you look at some of the things that Cliff was able to do with just carry
00:25That hurts and the rest of the crew in the passing game and you hear that Deebo Samuels now up and join that I mean
00:33It's got the limit. I think Deebo brings a little bit of I guess you can say
00:38he has that Swiss Army knife kind of talent where just him on the field alone is gonna
00:44take some eyes off of some of the other weapons and
00:47To be quite frankly if you thought about it man, like that hurts don't get enough credit for what he did down the stretch
00:54I think at one time it was a stat
00:56remember we was doing our post and our pre and post game show and
00:59I mentioned that I had read something that said that he was he had 24 targets and no drops
01:04Wow that postseason run and that's hard for you to be that accurate to one person
01:10But that also shows you how much he carried on him being that one player that when Terry was doubled or carry had coverage
01:17you know the young Jayden Daines went to Zach Ernst and
01:20So when you bring in a guy like Deebo Samuels when you also saw the rise of some of the other guys where there was
01:27Noah Brown
01:29You know the key is the army and those guys you have to think
01:33whoever we bring back in that bunch along with having now a Deebo Samuels and Terry McCorn out there receiver and
01:40Deebo being a guy that you can have him in motion a lot doing things out of the backfield
01:45Catching passes out of the backfield just creating mismatches
01:49That's what Cliff Kingsbury does well, he creates mismatches he did at all last season
01:54He's been doing that since he's been in this league
01:56So it just gives me to you know, the belief to know that man we have something special
02:00But I think the same thing at the same time
02:03We have to clean up some of the other things that we need up front
02:05Yeah
02:05you know part protection wise and
02:07See what we gonna do in the backfield and then you know with all the free agents that we have as a whole
02:12See who we're gonna bring back with that bunch, but I think the sky's the limit man
02:16I'm loving that. We did go out there and be able to bring in a talent like people, but just a fifth-round draft pick
02:21I'm talking to Santana moss on 106 having a fan to be mentioned Finley show in his take on Deebo saying the night
02:28What do I look at when Deebo was in San Francisco?
02:30That team was run oriented. They ran first. Yeah, so when he came in a lot
02:35He was running the football and although he's bigger and more physical than a lot of receivers
02:40He's still a receiver
02:41And running inside the tackles is not very healthy for those type of guys on this team where it's more pass oriented
02:49They still like to get the running but they'll have him on the edges and having advantages like you saying like the mismatches
02:55Matches he get out on the edge with a defensive back. He wins that and he doesn't get hurt as much
03:01How important was that aspect? I?
03:03Think it's very important to and I think you just got to think about it, man
03:06One of the things that when guys have the talent or the skill set of a Deebo Sam use and you have a coordinator like
03:13Cliff he's going to use you the best fit for what we trying to do that particular day
03:18You know me against that particular outfit that we facing up again
03:21And so there's gonna be times when you say, okay
03:23I'm gonna line them up here just to create some eyes just to create these guys that have to be in a different form
03:29You know
03:30defensive structure that now I can free up somebody else in the passing game or somebody else out the backfield just to
03:36confuse these guys and
03:38That's you know, what?
03:39I love about his game is just that you never know where he's gonna line up and not only can he be a
03:46Valuable asset on the outside. He can be as well in the backfield and then also in the blocking game
03:52There you go. It's tough as nails. He's gonna block with the best of me
03:55You know how many slip springs me around the outside?
03:56You know how many times we saw those guys kind of take advantage of somebody smaller white receivers when it came to you know
04:02Corners
