Project Description:
Looking to spice up your long-distance relationship? This video is your ultimate guide to creating smart bracelets for couples that let you send love signals—no matter the distance! These customizable bracelets are perfect for surprising your partner with a heartfelt buzz, and I’ll show you how to make them step-by-step.
In this tutorial, I’m taking things to the next level. Previously, in Part 6, I used the Blynk IoT app to control a vibration motor and display a counter on a smart bracelet. But here’s the twist: I wanted two bracelets to connect—one for each partner. The Blynk app couldn’t handle two CrowPanel displays at once (trust me, I tried for hours!). So, I switched to the Ubidots IoT platform, and boom—it worked in under 2 hours!
Now, with Ubidots as the bridge, these long-distance relationship bracelets sync perfectly. You can send love signals directly between them—no dashboard required—or control everything from the Ubidots dashboard if you prefer. Plus, features like the counter (saved in non-volatile memory) and reset button are still here, just like in Part 6. Curious? I’ve got a bonus “Getting Started with ESP32 and Ubidots” video to help you catch up!
New to this series? Watch my last six videos for the full scoop on designing a DIY smart bracelet from scratch. Trust me, it’s easier than it sounds—and totally worth it for that smile on your partner’s face.
What’s Inside?
Control two smart bracelets with Ubidots
Send love signals without opening an app
Customize with unique PNG animations (boy’s bracelet gets the girl’s image, and vice versa!)
All code, UI files, and images available on my Patreon—two folders for two bracelets!
Got ideas or tips? Drop them in the comments—I’d love to hear from you! (P.S. Know how to make Blynk work with two displays? Save me from my 3-hour struggle and share below!)
