00:00Travel 30 hours with me from London to Sydney.
00:03This is officially the longest travel day I've ever done
00:05so I decided it would be fun to time myself and see exactly how long
00:09it would take me to get from the train station in London to my hotel in Sydney.
00:12Anyway, I got to Heathrow around 6am in the morning
00:14and I headed straight for the lounge to get myself some breakfast.
00:16I got some pastries, I also DIY'd myself a little iced coffee
00:19and I had that while watching the sunrise over the airport
00:22which was actually really lovely.
00:23My first flight of the day is a 7 hour one to Abu Dhabi
00:26and since I have such a long travel day ahead
00:29I decided to make myself a little schedule to try to stay sane
00:32and also ease myself into the jet lag.
00:34So I worked for 2 hours, had some lunch for 1 hour
00:36worked some more for the final 3 hours of the flight
00:39and just like that we made it to Abu Dhabi.
00:41I had a really quick layover planned here
00:42and I was one of the final people to deboard the plane.
00:45So I had to sprint over to my new gate to make it to my second flight of the day
00:48which is a 13 and a half hour one to Sydney.
00:51At this point in time I was over 12 hours into my travel day
00:54and it was like 6pm in London and 5am in Sydney
00:57so I really needed to get some sleep.
00:58So I lied down flat across the 3 seats that I booked
01:01with my Etihad neighbour free hack
01:02and I actually slept really well.
01:04I slept like 7 and a half, almost 8 hours which felt amazing.
01:07I did my skincare when I woke up, freshened up a bit
01:09and this is me seeing Sydney for the first time.
01:12I was so excited.
01:14I got off the plane and through immigration super quickly
01:16grabbed my bag and headed straight for my Uber
01:18to take me all the way to my hotel in Bondi.
01:21I've dreamt about going to this place for so long
01:23so just seeing it in real life for the first time was so surreal for me.
01:27And believe it or not, we actually made it here in just under 30 hours.
01:30Pretty happy about that.
