00:18So too comes the usual comments about how disappointed people are with the line-up.
00:24So after quickly penning everything for you dear reader this morning, the most immediate
00:28question about the line-up from my editor was, so Benji, what did you think of the line-up announcement?
00:35What do I think? Sounds like I need to sound the hot take alarm don't I? But honest thoughts of
00:40the first announcement, I really like it. I think it's quite diverse with the range of acts that
00:46have been announced from your classic acts such as Neil Young and Sir Rod Stewart through to
00:51additions including Loyal Karna, Denzel Curry, Busta Rhymes. I thought I'd take some glee in the fact
00:57or so that I thought at least one of the big pop acts of 2024 might be included. I never thought
01:04I'd see Olivia Rodrigo and Charli XCX both get booked with the rumour that a second announcement
01:10might, might include Chapel Rowan which would mean that we're only a Sabrina Carpenter away from a
01:17full house at Glastonbury and it being the go-to for pop music this year. Though let's spare a
01:24thought for the metal kid that still lives within me, Deftones playing Glastonbury. I repeat,
01:30Deftones playing Glastonbury along with Weezer. Kind of makes sense why they only had a handful
01:36of UK shows this year but I mean as a huge Deftones fan, if you didn't get that already,
01:42the fact I get to see them at the hallowed grounds of Worthy Farm is definitely a bucket list moment
01:48for myself. But again, am I happy with the lineup? Yeah, I mean we apparently have another
01:54announcement to go and there's still murmurs that Queen Riri, Rihanna, might perform this year.
