00:00This is really so, I mean, I'm a terrible public speaker, so you're going to have to
00:05bear with me, especially since I might cry, so this is just such a truly incredible honor,
00:13and I'm so moved by it, surprisingly, because I don't feel much.
00:20First of all, I want to thank Dan and Patty.
00:23I mean, both of you really saw something in me that I did not see in myself at the time,
00:29and I was able to build on your belief in me at a time when I really needed it, and
00:35I'm so grateful.
00:36I will always be indebted to you, and then for you to show up here for me and do this
00:43is just, I'm so touched.
00:45And Don, you too.
00:46I know you didn't say anything, but honestly, the fact that I was a repellent 17-year-old
00:52mess, and you just loved me, and it meant so much to me at that point in my life.
01:01So thank you both for speaking on my behalf.
01:03It really means so much.
01:07Thank you to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, truly, and thank you to my Yellow Jackets
01:12family.
01:13So many of you are here, and it just touches me so much.
01:17Tommy came in from Colorado.
01:19I can't believe it.
01:20I don't know that I would fly to Colorado for you for a day, so I'm really just so touched.
01:26I would.
01:27I mean, I would.
01:28I want to thank my Showtime family and my Lionsgate family for making this happen, and
01:36thank you so much to my fantastic managers, Steven Nosikoff and Jason Weinberg.
01:42I mean, you guys are just unbelievable.
01:45I'm so happy to have you on my side.
01:51And my killer CAA team, Dar Rawlins, who's been my agent since I think I was in my 20s,
01:57and we were both like 24 or something, Allie Trustman, Harley Koppen, Olivia Blaustein,
02:05my partner, Michael Peters, that cat full of spiders, I love you so much.
02:09He really, he, I like geriatric, and he keeps me able to operate tech and show up at Zooms
02:18and read stuff.
02:19It's amazing.
02:20But also, you're so talented and so smart, your taste is so incredible, and I'm just
02:24so grateful to have you in my life.
02:28My wonderful assistant, Anna Rossi, who does so much for me, Jean Kwolek, my brand manager,
02:33my lawyer, Jamie Afifi, Steven Pregiato, and Shakira Washington, and I want to say a special
02:40thank you to my incredible publicist, Britta Rifkin, who we've been together since I think
02:48we were both about 25, some of our first tours were together, some crazy incidents
02:56we've had to share Ativan at different times over the course of the past 20 years.
03:01She sang just once, but I think it might have been more than once.
03:05And she is more than my representative, my publicist, she is a true friend, she has shown
03:12up for me in incredibly dark times of need, and always moves mountains for me.
03:18And I know you had so much to do with this happening today, and I really am so grateful.
03:26I want to thank my family, Mark, you're the most supportive and loving husband, Freddie,
03:33you made me feel so much love the day you were born, and reconnected me to art and passion
03:41and ambition.
03:43And Cleo, my gorgeous little baby girl, I love you so much, I'm inspired by all your
03:48strength and courage and spirit.
03:52She's really spirited.
03:56My sister Pia, I could not do this life without you.
04:00You've been there for me from the moment I was born, and I mean, just everything.
04:05I call my sister all the time, times of need, and you are always there for me.
04:10My brother-in-law TJ, and my niece and nephew, Noah and Asa, I love you guys so much.
04:18My mother, who started this career with me when I was only eight, taught me how to take
04:23buses into the Port Authority in New York, and make sure we didn't get mugged on Ninth
04:28Avenue, and taught me how to pretend I was staying at hotels to use the lobby bathroom,
04:34all the things, we learned all the things very early on.
04:37So savvy, this woman.
04:40And Rebecca, none of this would be possible without your incredible contribution to our
04:43family, so thank you.
04:46Yeah.
04:47You know, okay, so this really means so much to me, I have to say.
04:57From the moment I started acting, I knew it was meant to be, you know, I just felt like
05:03I was finally doing the right thing, and I was only seven.
05:09And then from the moment I stepped on a film set, I knew I was home.
05:13I've been a working actress for over 36 years, and a part of this community, and as much
05:18as I've always felt at home on a set, compulsively drawn to any base camp I drive past, and love
05:25the feeling of stepping up to my mark, or really anyone's mark, it feels so good to
05:30step on that T. They used to shoot in my grocery store, and they would like leave the T marks,
05:35and I would like have to go and stand on them, because it just felt so good to me.
05:42I don't, but as much as all of that is true, and as much as I always felt at home on a
05:48set, I don't think I would have ever believed as a young actress that I would receive an
05:52honor like this.
05:53I've always felt very much on the outside, and what made me special wasn't always valued
06:00or popular, especially in my days as a young adult.
06:04And I know I'm here, and my career has thrived as it has, only because of the belief others
06:10had in me, and the work and support they were willing to offer me.
06:14I'm only here, and will forever now be here at Hollywood and Argyle.
06:19I'm going to haunt my star when I die, so I'll just always be here.
06:25I'm only here because of the incredible people in my life who have traveled this road with
06:30me.
06:31And I am so grateful, and so honored, and so incredibly moved.
