00:10Good afternoon, for Balitang Hali.

00:12Good afternoon, Sir Rafi, and to all our listeners and fellow countrymen.

00:17Yes, based on your forecast, how high is the possible temperature this dry season?

00:22Well, based on our climate data,

00:26there are some areas that have recorded as high as 40°C of maximum temperature,

00:32such as in Tuguegarao, and some areas such as in the Hupan area.

00:37What is the reason why the heat index is so high even though it is not yet officially hot?

00:45Yes, even though it is not yet officially hot,

00:47since we are in the transition to the hot season,

00:52there are times when the wind retreats back,

00:56which means that it does not affect our country.

00:59So what prevails during those times is the easterly wind coming from the Pacific Ocean.

01:05It is a bit hot, and it also brings bad weather.

01:08So if our temperature is hot, our air temperature is high,

01:13plus we also have high water vapor content in our environment,

01:20these are factors that bring up the heat index.

01:23Will this hot weather continue?

01:25And until when will you declare that it is a dry season?

01:30Well, as of now, we do not have an exact date for the declaration,

01:35but we are still looking at our synoptic patterns,

01:39and it is still possible for another surge of cold, or the rise of cold in the country.

01:55In places where there will be hot weather,

01:59what is your advice to our countrymen who will still be hit by extreme heat?

02:04Based on our forecasts, usually the places that have a high heat index,

02:12like Dagupan City, Iba-Zambales, Tuguegarao, San Jose Occidental-Mindoro,

02:20and other areas in the Bicol region.

02:22So our advice is, as much as possible,

02:26we should limit our outdoor activities and avoid direct exposure to sunlight,

02:31especially in the afternoons and early afternoons.

02:35We should also drink a lot of water to stay hydrated.

02:39We should also avoid tea, coffee, or soda because the weather is hot.

02:46So far, that is our advice to avoid heat cramps, heat extortions, and heat strokes.
