00:00A Eucharistic Vigil was held in Cebu for Pope Francis' full recovery.

00:06Some of our fellow countrymen were there.

00:08Their memories of their close encounters in Santo Papa were captured.

00:13Jesse Atienza was at the center of the news.

00:17People were excited and stood up as Pope Francis approached and talked to them one by one.

00:24That's what the cellphone video of the charismatic community leader, Frie.

00:29But there was nothing more than his pictures with Pope Francis.

00:34The pictures with Pope Francis were displayed in Frie's office.

00:40He will never forget the rare opportunity to talk to Lolo Kiko.

00:45Not just once, but twice.

00:48First, in 2017, when Frie introduced him to his friend in Paris in Santo Papa.

00:55He introduced me to the Pope and telling the Pope that my advocacy is about drug addiction.

01:01And the Pope said, yes, I've heard about the war on drugs in the Philippines.

01:09And the Pope said, I can't remember how Monsignor Gian Limchua interpreted to me.

01:16The Pope said, that is very important.

01:19So that word is very striking to me.

01:21And to me, it was an affirmation that what I'm doing is really something that the Lord is pleased.

01:29So until now, I continue doing it.

01:32Helping people who wanted to recover from drugs through faith-based.

01:37According to Frie, his moments in Santo Papa were special.

01:43The encounter was very special that I forgot all about what I was carrying.

01:48I was caught in awe.

01:50I was floating in the clouds.

01:54I was meeting somebody that I cannot really understand what I was feeling at that moment.

02:00It's really very heavenly, my feeling at that moment.

02:04As the National Coordinator of the Charismatic Renewal International Service,

02:10led by Pope Francis,

02:12that's why Santo Papa became influential in this new era.

02:16Especially to the Filipinos.

02:18The visit of Pope Francis in Tacloban was very significant to me.

02:22It's like God visiting us at the time of calamity, at the time of crisis,

02:28when people are dying, when people are suffering.

02:31And he took time to come to the Philippines.

02:34So, whatever happens to the Pope,

02:39I would really treasure his life, being our Pope, to the life of us Filipinos.

02:51A Eucharistic vigil for the recovery of Pope Francis

02:54was organized by the Archdiocese of Cebu under the leadership of Archbishop Jose Palma.

02:59At the moment, Santo Papa is under treatment for bilateral pneumonia.

03:04At the last medical bulletin of the Vatican, Pope Francis was stable.

03:09He also did not experience a respiratory crisis.

03:12He was able to sit on his armchair and was able to talk to the parish priest of Gaza.
