00:00So, what did you think about last night?
00:01Did Trump achieve what he needed to, or did he get what he wanted because the Democrats
00:05gave it to him with their behavior?
00:07Donald Trump last night did what he wanted to do.
00:11Number one, he got on the record that his accomplishments in the first six weeks were
00:17fairly extraordinary, which is true, both good and bad.
00:21And number two, he taunted the Democratic Party into making a myriad of mistakes.
00:27I think the Democratic Party is on the verge of collapse, and I liken it to 1931, when
00:39Herbert Hoover and the Republican Party basically said to the very suffering American people
00:47in the Depression, we're not helping you, you got to do it on your own, it's all about
00:51self-reliance, we're not going to give you any safety nets.
00:56That led to five consecutive Democratic wins, five.
01:04Not until Dwight Eisenhower, 20 years later, did the Republicans recover.
01:10I see the same scenario for the Democrats.
01:13When you are hating someone, you lose all perspective.
01:19You lose all feeling.
01:20You're consumed.
01:22That's what you saw in that chamber last night.
