00:00I seek refuge with Allah from Satan the accursed.
00:20In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
00:40In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
01:10Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
01:40Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
02:10And do not speak to him openly,
02:40lest your deeds be in vain, while you perceive not.
03:10O you who have believed!
03:30Do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet,
03:44and do not speak to him openly,
04:12lest your deeds be in vain, while you perceive not.
04:42and do not speak to him openly, while you perceive not.
05:12Those are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousness.
05:37For them is forgiveness and a great reward.
06:01For them is forgiveness and a great reward.
06:18Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
06:48Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
06:51I am Tasleem Ahmed Sabri
06:53and you are watching the special program of the month of Ramadan,
06:57Rehmat-e-Sahar.
06:59Ladies and gentlemen,
07:00today's topic is about the rights of minorities.
07:04Islam is the flag-bearing religion of the honor of humanity.
07:13There is no law, principle or regulation in Islam
07:19that denies the honor of humanity.
07:25And Islam has given the rights of minorities.
07:30This is evident from the pure instruction of the Holy Prophet.
07:41The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
07:45said that if a person, a non-Muslim,
07:54commits injustice against a non-Muslim,
07:58tries to take away his rights,
08:01or hurts a non-Muslim,
08:05without his consent,
08:10then on the Day of Resurrection,
08:12he will fight on behalf of that non-Muslim.
08:16The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
08:19said that this is not just a warning.
08:25The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
08:28said that this becomes a law.
08:30This is not just a warning,
08:32it became a law.
08:34And then, in the state of Madinah,
08:36the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
08:39and then in the state of Rashidah,
08:42the practice of this law continued.
08:45The rights that were given to non-Muslims,
08:48we even find in the narrations that
08:50in the Masjid-e-Nabawi Sharif,
08:52the rights of non-Muslims to worship were given.
08:58The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
09:01gave so many rights.
09:03We will talk about this today,
09:05what are the rights.
09:07This is talked about a lot all over the world.
09:10Why?
09:12Muslims are increasing rapidly all over the world.
09:16To oppose them,
09:18a trick is also used,
09:21that they are not behaving well with non-Muslims.
09:26If they are not behaving well with non-Muslims,
09:28then it is their responsibility.
09:30The teachings given by Allah and His Messenger,
09:33are the same,
09:35that non-Muslims will be treated well.
09:38We will talk about this today.
09:40He has come with us.
09:42He is an excellent scholar.
09:45Dr. Syed Hamid Farooq Shah.

14:21Ramzan, shan-e-Ramzan
14:25Hai momino ke dil ka
14:28Ujala shan-e-Ramzan
14:32Hai momino ke dil
14:34Ladies and gentlemen, welcome.
14:39You are watching Rehmat-e-Sahar with Taseem Sabri.
14:42This is the segment of Hukooq-ul-Ibad.
14:45And today we are talking about the rights of non-Muslim minorities in the Muslim society.
14:55We have joined us with Mumtaz Scholar, Dr. Muhammad Shahzad Mujaddidi.
15:02Assalamu alaikum.
15:03Walaikum assalam.
15:04Thank you very much for coming.
15:06It is very delicate to understand this.
15:10What is the concept of tolerance with non-Muslims in Islam?
15:16Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim.
15:18Alhamdulillah.
15:19Wassalatu wassalamu ala Rasoolillah wa ala alihi wa sahabihi ajma'in.
15:24Thank you very much.
15:26If we study the religion of Islam, we find that it is in its name that there is peace and security in its nature.
15:35And as it is stated in the Holy Qur'an,
15:38wa laqad karamna bani adam wa hamalnahum fil barri wal bahr
15:43that it is not only a matter of honouring the people of Islam,
15:46but it is also a matter of honouring the people of Adam.
15:48As you pointed out in your intro,
15:51it is a matter of honouring the whole of humanity.
15:54This is what religion does.
15:56So there are a few basic principles that teach us tolerance.
16:01First of all, the religion of Islam teaches us to respect our beliefs.
16:06Islam has given the command not to insult the sanctities of every religion.
16:13It is very clear in the Holy Qur'an that
16:15wa laa tasubbul lazeena yada'oona min dooni Allahi fa yasubbul laaha adwan bi ghayri ilm
16:21that you should not curse those who worship anyone other than Allah.
16:26If you say bad things about them, insult them,
16:30then Allah forbid, they will not say bad things about your true God.
16:35This is a very basic principle.
16:38So whatever the beliefs of every religion are,
16:41they will remain in their place.
16:42We will neither adopt them nor touch them.
16:45This is the principle of basic tolerance in the light of the Holy Qur'an.
16:50The second principle is that they will be given complete freedom to practice their religion.
16:56The Holy Qur'an and the Ahadith-e-Tayyiba clearly state that they will be given complete freedom to practice their religion.
17:03The third principle is that you will not force anyone to adopt your religion.
17:09laa ikraaha fid deen
17:11This is a very clear commandment of the Holy Qur'an.
17:13qad tabayyana rushdu minal ghayri Allah Rabbul Izzat has given you wisdom
17:18and wisdom will tell you what is guidance and what is misguidance.
17:24This has been revealed in the mind of man.
17:27fa'alhamaha fujooraha wa taqwaaha
17:29qad aflaha man zakkaaha wa qad khaaba man dassaaha
17:33So we should not force anyone to follow the religion of Islam.
17:37Here I will say this incident briefly.
17:40The third great Imam of Fiqh-e-Hanfi,
17:43Hazrat Imam Muhammad bin Hassan al-Shaybani, may Allah have mercy on him.
17:46One day when he was passing by,
17:48a non-Muslim saw his face and his tongue began to speak.
17:52When he went home, people taunted him,
17:54saying that he had left his own religion.
17:56What has happened?
17:57Was there any preaching or preaching?
17:58What did you hear?
17:59After that, you left your own belief.
18:02He said, no preaching, no preaching, no speech, nothing.
18:05I saw the Muslim Imam Muhammad.
18:07So my heart testified that if small Muhammad is so beautiful,
18:11then what will happen to the beauty of great Muhammad?
18:13This means that you have to become a perfect, perfect preacher.
18:17You cannot force anyone to follow the religion of Islam.
18:21And the fourth principle of tolerance that the religion has taught us,
18:24is the inter-religious dialogue.
18:27We will talk about this in detail later.
18:29And the last thing is the peaceful coexistence.
18:35You should have the courage to tolerate the existence of others.
18:40This is what we have learned from the life of the Holy Prophet.
18:42You will impress people with your attitude, your words, your actions.
18:50Now, the emotional Muslim in the society says that
18:54he is worshipping idols made by his own hands in front of me.
19:00I cannot tolerate it.
19:02What should I do?
19:04I will never let this happen in my society.
19:08I will not let it happen in my mosque.
19:10This is blasphemy. This is blasphemy of Allah.
19:12He is associating others with him.
19:14He does not believe in the Messenger of Allah.
19:16I cannot tolerate it. Is this attitude correct?
19:18It is correct.
19:19In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
19:20All praise is due to Allah.
19:21And peace and blessings be upon the most honored of the Prophets,
19:24the Messengers, and upon his companions.
19:26Say, O disbelievers, I do not worship what you worship.
19:29And you do not worship what I worship.
19:31And I do not worship what you worship.
19:33And you do not worship what I worship.
19:35And you do not worship what I worship.
19:39He started with, Say, O disbelievers.
19:42But the last thing he winded up with was,
19:45And you do not worship what I worship.
19:48Your religion is with you.
19:49Now, see, here is the strange thing.
19:52He has called religion.
19:54His program too.
19:56Whatever it is, he has called it religion.
19:59Allah, Allah, Allah. Wow, wow.
20:01Yes.
20:02What did he say?
20:03He did not say religion.
20:04He said,
20:06Here, your code of life.
20:09Whatever you have chosen, whatever your priority is,
20:12As you wish.
20:13You do it.
20:14Neither bother me, nor should I bother you.
20:16Okay.
20:17Qaid-e-Azam had asked Maulana Muslim,
20:19Maulana Muhammad Bakhsh Muslim,
20:21Where is this two-nation view in the Quran?
20:24He asked other scholars too.
20:26Because he was a very scholarly, learned man.
20:29So he used to ask,
20:30What we are doing, is it in our religion too?
20:32Is it in our religion too,
20:33that we take the stick with enthusiasm?
20:35Wow.
20:36So tell me from the Quran.
20:37He told the verses and also told this.
20:39This is the basis of two-nation theory.
20:42Pakistan's flag,
20:44The white color in it,
20:46That is for minorities,
20:48For representation and translation.
20:50This is your space.
20:51This is your place.
20:52You will live in it.
20:54Even in the state of Madinah,
20:56And when the state of Pakistan came into existence,
20:59On the basis of Kalima,
21:01On the basis of La ilaha illallah Muhammad Rasool Allah.
21:03This space has been kept in it from the beginning.
21:06In religion too.
21:07Even in the constitution of our country.
21:10That the non-Muslims,
21:12Minorities,
21:13Zimmi,
21:14They will live.
21:15Those who believe in us,
21:17They also believe in our religion.
21:19Yes.
21:20Absolutely.
21:21Yes.
21:22That is why they have been given a place.
21:23That they will live with us in peace.
21:25They go to their temple,
21:26Go to their church.
21:27We will go to our mosque.
21:29And we will provide them security.
21:31We will protect them.
21:33Not just that we will attack them or not.
21:36This is not permission.
21:38The meaning of the minorities living in an Islamic state is,
21:43That they are now under our protection,
21:47Under our shadow.
21:49They have become our responsibility.
21:50They have become our responsibility.
21:51Zimmi means this.
21:52Yes.
21:53So, Islam has made a very clear cut.
21:56Very clear.
21:58If there is something,
22:00If the scholars want to talk to each other,
22:02Then there is a way for dialogue.
22:05But in that,
22:06The consensus has been kept.
22:08That come,
22:09The things that are common between you and me,
22:12Based on that,
22:13We can also socialize.
22:14We can sit together.
22:15We can eat together.
22:16We can give each other gifts and gifts.
22:19We can come and go.
22:20If there are neighbors,
22:22Then according to that,
22:24There is more right for each other.
22:27There is a whole package that Islam has given.
22:30And on this,
22:31I want to take the name of a book today,
22:33Shah Sahib.
22:34Ahkamu Ahlul Zimma.
22:36Okay.
22:37It is a very big book.
22:38Which is for those good scholars.
22:41This is the book of Imam Allama Ibn Al-Qayyim.
22:44Subhanallah.
22:45It is in two volumes in Arabic.
22:47It is of Ibn Al-Qayyim.
22:48It will be very Qayyim.
22:49And it is very Qayyim.
22:50Obviously,
22:51This is a well-known book among the scholars of Islam.
22:54Here in Pakistan,
22:55I want,
22:56I am addressing only the scholars at this time,
22:58That they should definitely see this book.
23:00Inshallah,
23:01There will be such an opening of the heart,
23:03Such a mind will open,
23:04That peace,
23:05And blessings,
23:06And springs will be felt.
23:07Very good.
23:08Mashallah.
23:09Let's include the words,
23:10Mr. Rubi.
23:11Qibla.
23:12Yes,
23:13Inshallah,
23:14By the grace of Allah,
23:15Today,
23:16In this whole session,
23:17We will read the words written by Allah.
23:19Subhanallah.
23:20By the name of Ahmad Reza Barelvi.
23:21Rahmatullah.
23:22Subhanallah.
23:50Subhanallah.
24:20Subhanallah.
24:50Subhanallah.
25:50Subhanallah.
26:50Subhanallah.
27:20Subhanallah.
