01:10It's going to defund life-saving research.
01:13It's going to threaten our economy.
01:15It's going to impede innovation.
01:18And it's going to kneecap an entire generation of scientific talent.
01:49Because science is being destroyed by the current administration,
01:53and my wife and I are protesting more and more because it's necessary.
02:02You know, what's going on in Washington right now is an abomination.
02:07And when our elected officials start trying to convince not just the American people
02:15but the world that facts can be choices, I think that's really dangerous.
02:20I think we've sort of moved away from the concept of doing research and critical thinking
02:26in favor of just believing what you want to believe
02:29and agreeing with the people that you already agree with.
02:32And I find that really dangerous.
02:34And so I'm here to support science and scientists and research
02:37and funding the critical work that those people do.
