00:00Welcome back to the Papa Meat channel. How you doing? How you doing?
00:02Come on in and sit on down because today we're talking about Roblox.
00:05Roblox is one of the most popular games on planet Earth. I had no idea.
00:11I thought Roblox was old. Old dead meme. I don't know, guess not.
00:14Because my Instagram feed, I love me some Instagram reels.
00:17The heinous nature of Instagram reels.
00:20And it's been nothing lately but Roblox cringe.
00:23And even though I've been consuming like VR rooms, weird sex chat rooms,
00:28kids talking about like making money off Roblox, all kinds of stuff.
00:32I have no idea what you're supposed to do with the game.
00:34And I guess that's kind of the point.
00:35But it's got me completely perplexed by this too.
00:38Dig deeper into the Roblox lore, the fandom, the interaction, the craze.
00:43I need to figure out what's the big deal with Roblox.
00:46I like Roblox.
00:49But let's say you don't know what Roblox is much like myself.
00:52Let me give you a little taste of what Roblox is.
00:55It's an online game that gives users the tools to create their own games
00:59called experiences to share with the world.
01:02What started as a pretty bare bones experience in 2004
01:04has slowly become one of the biggest video games in the entire world.
01:08As of 2024, ladies and gentlemen,
01:11the game has amassed over 89 million daily active users
01:15and made $3.6 billion in revenue.
01:18That's just in 2024.
01:20Billions of dollars being made with stuff that looks like this.
01:24Anything's possible.
01:26I thought it was a Minecraft clone.
01:28I thought it was too.
01:29It's like, what is it, Legos?
01:30And then what's the other?
01:31Megablocks.
01:31It's like, who the wants to play Megablocks?
01:33Well, when you see some of the freaky that you can do in Roblox,
01:36I think Minecraft is going to lose a whole lot of appeal.
01:38Let me just say that.
01:39And let me say as a side note, at its peak in 2020 during the pandemic,
01:42the game had 160 million daily active users,
01:46including half of American children under the age of 16 years old.
01:50Half of all of American children are playing Roblox.
01:54It's gotten so big that major companies have started collaborating with Roblox
01:58to make high-budget gaming experiences.
02:00Kind of like Fortnite with like Travis Scott
02:02or like all these other companies are kind of coming in
02:04and they're doing like cross-promotional stuff
02:06where people can get skins or experiences.
02:08But these are some of the ones that Roblox has been able to pick up.
02:11The Gucci Garden.
02:12Fucking Gucci, dude.
02:14A Gucci-sponsored experience where players could enter a virtual store
02:17and purchase limited-time cosmetic items.
02:20Or Sonic Speed Simulator.
02:22An officially licensed Sonic game within Roblox.
02:25A Sonic game inside of a game, dude.
02:28The Little Nas X concert experience.
02:31Yeah!
02:32Where the f*** did he go?
02:33I feel like-
02:34He just came back.
02:34He just posted something.
02:35Oh!
02:36Was it good?
02:37It was a social media post saying like,
02:38I'm back, bitches.
02:40He's hyping up his new album.
02:41Call me!
02:42That shit's gonna flop, dude.
02:43Does anyone care?
02:44Yeah, he twerked on the devil.
02:46He did twerk on the devil.
02:47Got my jimmies all riled up.
02:49And of course, we talk about the Dress to Impress Charlie XCX collab.
02:52A line of clothing themed after the artist's Brat album
02:55that was released in the popular Runway dressed-up game.
02:58It's Roblox.
02:59It's this character.
03:00But it's not all fun and games in the world of Roblox.
03:03You know, I'm hyping it up big time.
03:04But like with any other game,
03:06there's a seedy underbelly.
03:07There's something nefarious going on.
03:09When something's this popular,
03:10you're gonna have a little bit of fungus growing.
03:12All right?
03:12Let me tell you, Roblox has a whole mushroom kingdom
03:15just waiting to be explored.
03:16Which it goes without saying,
03:18but a majority of the people playing Roblox
03:20are very, very young children.
03:21As we said, half of American children, dude.
03:23Under the age of 16.
03:24I'm just gonna say,
03:25every American child under the age of 16 is playing Roblox.
03:29I'm gonna, that's the statistic I'm making up
03:30and it's gonna be, that's law now.
03:32Not only does the visual style appeal to that age demographic,
03:35but the game is free to play on PC and iOS.
03:38Basically, free to play meme there.
03:40You know, the graphics,
03:41I think the visual style is ugly as sh**.
03:42It's too old.
03:43It's outdated.
03:44But I think with meme culture
03:45and how wonky everything looks,
03:46I think it's very appealing for like a meme content.
03:49However, there are loads of different things
03:51to spend Robux on,
03:52which is their premium currency
03:54that costs real money, baby.
03:56With it, people can buy cosmetics
03:57as well as in-game perks.
03:59You wanna deck your f***ing character out
04:01because let me tell you,
04:01you gotta look good in the game, dude.
04:03If you're not looking good, are you even playing?
04:04I doubt it.
04:05With its user base being as young as it is,
04:07this is where it starts to see players being exploited.
04:09A problem that has persisted for a long time
04:11in Roblox's lifespan.
04:12One common method is through phishing links
04:15that are sent to users promising free Robux,
04:17which takes people to a website
04:18that looks similar to Roblox's.
04:20And from there,
04:20the scammers are able to steal the user's login
04:22and bank credentials.
04:24Basically, they're taking children.
04:25Does this look like Robux?
04:26Like, yeah.
04:27They have their mom's credit card information.
04:29Probably f***ing swipe.
04:30Didn't even know that it was on there.
04:32And now you have all these people coming in
04:34and just stealing probably millions of dollars
04:36worth of stuff.
04:36Other scams include tricking kids with valuable items,
04:38only to trade them for far more inferior ones.
04:41Essentially, just taking advantage
04:42of children's lack of game knowledge, dude.
04:44You know, everyone's done that.
04:45That's if...
04:45You know what?
04:46I'm not even gonna count that as a f***ing negative.
04:47That's in every game.
04:48There's a dope sword.
04:49Does this one look cool?
04:50Yeah.
04:50You can trade them?
04:51No!
04:51You should go ahead.
04:52I don't have anything to trade for.
04:53Give me my guns back!
04:55Give me my guns!
04:57That's one thing that I guess Roblox
04:59and a lot of new games have
05:00is you get to hear the real anguish
05:01in a child's voice
05:02whenever something wrong happens in a game.
05:04And it fills me with so much joy.
05:05Oh, yeah.
05:06It's nice.
05:06It's not only confined to you as a child anymore.
05:08You get to just hear the anguish of other children
05:11getting scammed out of pixelated...
05:13I don't know, fedoras or something like that.
05:15And some scammers, however,
05:16resort to creating their own experiences
05:18promising free Robux
05:20only to program in-game prompts
05:22that convince players to put in sensitive information.
05:25You want a reward?
05:26Gotta put in your Wells Fargo bank information.
05:28Your mom.
05:29Go find out what it is.
05:30Really?
05:31Yeah, your social security.
05:32Your mom and dad's marriage certificate.
05:33Their license uploaded as a PDF.
05:36Really?
05:36Okay.
05:37Take a picture of your mom.
05:38Take a picture of your mom's panties
05:40and upload it to the drive.
05:41Upload it to the Roblox cloud.
05:43And in some cases,
05:44people are convinced to purchase items
05:46off of Roblox platform using third-party sites
05:49resulting in major, major financial losses.
05:52Which leads us into Roblox's shady business practices.
05:56Yeah, we're talking about scammers.
05:57But what about the main cube men themselves?
05:59Roblox, Mr. Roblox.
06:01How he's scamming its users, right?
06:03Roblox really gets its rocks off
06:05manipulating children into spending
06:07obscene amounts of money on the game, right?
06:10I think that they giggle and they chortle.
06:12They rub their bellies and they're just like,
06:13I can't believe they're still spending.
06:15It's gotten to a point where it does feel malicious.
06:18It feels targeted.
06:19There are plenty of ways the game pushes people
06:21to spend money in Roblox,
06:22which is easy to do for children
06:23who aren't spending their own money in the game, right?
06:26When you have mommy and daddy's credit card,
06:28Roblox is a good time.
06:29That's what my nephew's doing to my brother.
06:31Oh, dude.
06:32I want a $40 tank.
06:35He was like bugging me.
06:36Dude, I was on the phone with you.
06:37I heard you on the phone.
06:38He was like begging you.
06:40Please download this game.
06:42At first, he told me to buy it.
06:43He's like, you need to buy it.
06:44I was like, no.
06:45Dude, it's every child's right to be able to beg
06:48and bitch and complain to their relatives.
06:50I remember when I was a kid,
06:51I was probably 14 at the time.
06:52I remember the Super Nintendo just came out.
06:54I wrote my mom a note, slipped it out of the door.
06:56Dear mom, if you buy me this Nintendo,
06:58I will literally never ask for anything
07:01ever again in my fucking life.
07:03Please, mom, please.
07:04I think everyone's had that one experience
07:06before in their life
07:06because you're too much of a coward to face in person.
07:08Many limited time cosmetics and items will be released
07:11that rush kids to purchase things
07:12before they miss out.
07:14FOMO, baby.
07:14ROBLOX is inducing FOMO.
07:16For those that miss out,
07:17they can purchase the item in a secondary market
07:19from those willing to sell them
07:21for an absurd amount of money, obviously.
07:24Upcharge.
07:25In this way, items in ROBLOX
07:26become a sort of stock market
07:27complete with a price chart
07:29that shows the rise and fall
07:30of valuable items over time.
07:32You're getting a social economic stat.
07:34You're getting Wall Street in ROBLOX
07:36with fedoras, pants, and that kind of stuff
07:38to see if things are appreciating or not
07:40and seeing if you got in at a good time.
07:41There are children that are eight years old on ROBLOX
07:44that are talking the same way
07:4565-year-old men do on Wall Street.
07:47Oh, I remember when it was at, Pais.
07:49I got in while the getting was good.
07:52Did you know that Oblivion, I think,
07:54was the first microtransaction?
07:56Oblivion was?
07:57Of course it was Bethesda.
07:59It was DLC whores.
08:00It was like $5.
08:01It never went through a fucking fit.
08:02I'm pretty sure.
08:04Fact check them.
08:06Who's the guy who runs...
08:07Todd what?
08:07Todd Howard.
08:08Todd Howard.
08:09That little rat fuck.
08:11That snake.
08:12That's a horse.
08:12You want to buy the horse?
08:13So can't you just upload it?
08:14You could.
08:15It costs money to develop stuff.
08:16I'm going to.
08:17Oblivion is like one of the ugliest fucking games
08:18I've ever seen in my life.
08:20What?
08:21Looking at some of those people
08:22and they just square up like they're like this,
08:23the NPCs.
08:24You go up and you press to talk to them, they do.
08:28In my opinion, I was like,
08:29there's a charm to that.
08:30But when I look at it, I'm like,
08:32this is a sick fuck.
08:33Yeah, the textures are very muddy.
08:34Only a sick fuck would play this game, dude.
08:36I played it.
08:37Of course you played it, dude.
08:38I think I tried playing Morrowind on the original Xbox
08:41and I was like,
08:41this is one of the lamest things I've ever seen in my life.
08:44I was too busy playing Oddworld.
08:46And getting pussy.
08:47Well, yes.
08:49It was the Oddworlds where it was like a...
08:51Stranger's Wrath.
08:52Yes.
08:52Yeah, that one's great.
08:53Yeah, a little first person shooter
08:54with a talking ammunition and stuff.
08:56Yeah.
08:56It's cool.
08:57Critters.
08:57Yeah.
08:58I do love looking at this price chart.
08:59How many kids do you think log into this
09:01and they're just like,
09:01okay, this is looking good.
09:03My portfolio is looking really good right now.
09:04Some items have amassed an absurd value.
09:06Well, first off, do we know how much a one Roebuck is?
09:09Is one Roebuck $1?
09:11No, they never do that.
09:12It's like League of Legends.
09:13A skin will be like $1,000, right?
09:15But they don't offer $1,000 options.
09:18It's $800 or $1,500.
09:19Why do I feel like I want the Todd Howards to blame?
09:23Fuck you, Todd.
09:23I'm coming for you.
09:24Lock your doors, bitch.
09:26Here's two items that are very, very pricey.
09:29I think.
09:29They sound pricey.
09:30The first one, and ladies and gentlemen,
09:32this does look good.
09:33Midnight Blue Sparkle Time Fedora
09:36$40,000,000 Roebucks.
09:38That's how much it is in real life with real money.
09:40Well, real money.
09:42Roebucks is the true currency.
09:43And then we step it up even further.
09:45We go to the big dogs with the Dominus Frigidus,
09:48which is $400,000,000 Roebucks, baby.
09:51If somebody saw that and they knew,
09:53you think people can get that way?
09:54Oh, yeah.
09:55Within Roblox, you're getting tons of proceeds.
09:57No, no, I'm saying like, yes,
09:58obviously in Roblox, people are like fake,
10:01sucking and fucking in the game share.
10:02But I'm saying like,
10:03if someone just like,
10:03oh, this guy's like well off.
10:04Like, do you think that there's little money chasers
10:06in the game where there's like,
10:07hey, oh, yeah, you want to fly me out?
10:09There's probably some discords
10:10where people are showing off their like.
10:14People are swapping stinkhole pictures
10:16for all kinds of stuff, dude.
10:17So it seems it is almost a one-to-one.
10:20$499,000, you get $500,000.
10:22For $200,000, you get $24,000,000.
10:24Wait, what?
10:25So how much is $40,000,000,000 then?
10:27That's what the Fedora was.
10:29The Midnight Blue Sparkle Time Fedora.
10:32That's a couple hundred thousand.
10:35So then the Dominus Frigidus is millions of dollars?
10:39In real life currency?
10:40What?
10:41Those are the Robux wells.
10:42Well, no wonder.
10:43Sonny Prince.
10:44Well, no wonder then,
10:45because of course,
10:46Roblox makes sure to take 30% cut
10:48of all transactions users make in game.
10:51That's like some Steam shit.
10:52How much does Steam take?
10:53Like, if you upload your game.
10:54Oh, yeah, it's 30%.
10:56Is that, that's crazy.
10:57It's the platform.
10:58It's the biggest PC platform.
11:00Dude, okay, so we're going to take half.
11:01Oh, that's almost half of your fucking,
11:03like every time we sell a game,
11:05almost half of that goes to Steam.
11:06How does that?
11:07And then, yeah.
11:08Hey, I just sold my Fedora,
11:09my nighttime Fedora for like,
11:11let's just say $200,000.
11:12Okay, we're going to take 30% of that.
11:15Fuck you, Roblox.
11:16But to avoid this,
11:17some users utilize black market sites
11:19in order to carry out the sale for a higher profit.
11:22See, that's what I like.
11:22I like that users are just like,
11:24send me the money.
11:24I'll send you a flash drive with the file on it.
11:27Often, this leads to the previously mentioned
11:29phishing scams and delivering of hidden files
11:31containing malware.
11:33And in 2021, Roblox was hit
11:35with a federal class action lawsuit
11:36for deleting items belonging to Roblox users
11:39with no warning or refund,
11:40despite Roblox already collecting their 30% cut.
11:43This is due to items supposedly breaking
11:45their content policy,
11:46but users spend absurd amounts of money
11:49for certain cosmetics
11:50and were surprised to see that they weren't compensated.
11:52That is pretty funny though.
11:53Roblox is just like,
11:54we got to get rid of it.
11:55And they're like,
11:56well, am I going to get my 30% back from you?
12:00It's like a Roblox guy.
12:01He just like runs away.
12:02I like to think too that the Roblox people
12:03only interact with its community
12:05through Roblox characters,
12:06but it's not just in-game items.
12:08Even big companies are pushing real-life brands
12:11in-game to its users.
12:12Is there Pizza Hut in Roblox?
12:14There was, I don't know if this was brand sponsored,
12:16but there was a McDonald's one
12:17where you just sit there
12:18and people come in and you take orders
12:19and you like go in the back
12:21and you just like pretend you're making something
12:22and then you're like,
12:24It's so odd, man.
12:25It has to tap into some kind of part of your brain
12:28where you're just like,
12:28this is just totally relaxing to me.
12:31Yeah.
12:31I don't know how,
12:32but I wish I could get there.
12:34It's like the farm simulators too.
12:36Oh, dude.
12:36Well, yeah, the farm simulator,
12:38I think it's because it's satisfying
12:40because if you see the crops
12:41and then you mow them over,
12:42it's like, ooh, that's, you know,
12:44it's the same as like the power washer thing.
12:45It's like you almost, it's like a tick.
12:46I have to clean it or whatever.
12:48It's satisfying at first.
12:49Dude, I started getting headaches playing that game
12:51because you'd sit there and be like,
12:52where the is the last part I didn't do?
12:53So you're like spraying everything.
12:54I felt like a schizophrenic dude,
12:56but more and more massive brands
12:57are creating high budget Roblox games
12:59that essentially act as playable advertisements.
13:02Games like Chipotle burrito builder.
13:04You think they're doing those Chipotle hacks
13:07or they're like instead of a burrito,
13:08what is it?
13:09The meat hack or something like that.
13:10Isn't there some kind of you,
13:11what you could do is like,
13:12you can order everything separate.
13:14Oh, and then cheaper.
13:15Yeah.
13:16And you combine it.
13:17You know, dude,
13:17there's some devious people that plan out there
13:19or the circus delay tycoon.
13:21Did you ever play rollercoaster tycoon?
13:23Any of those games?
13:24Uh, I play pizza tycoon.
13:26I remember playing rollercoaster tycoon.
13:27It gave me a panic attack when I was younger.
13:29Like I was like Washington.
13:29I was like, maybe freak out.
13:32Why?
13:32Is it because like you didn't want to upset your customers?
13:35No, no, no.
13:35I was playing.
13:36My uncle was sitting there.
13:37He's like, check this out.
13:38And he like pressed the keyboard
13:39and the rollercoaster went.
13:40It was so chaotic.
13:42And I was like, I don't know why.
13:44I feel like I was trapped in my seat.
13:45I was like, I don't know if I felt like I was right.
13:49My dad came in.
13:50He was like, what the is going on?
13:54Or Spotify Island.
13:56You can't forget Vans world.
13:58And last, but certainly not least the Hyundai mobility adventure.
14:05I like how there's eight-year-olds.
14:06There's like, yeah, my, my mom has a Hyundai Sonata.
14:08It rips.
14:09I love that Sonata.
14:10And many feel that it's potentially harmful to have children interacting
14:14with Roblox experiences that are solely focused on pushing their brand.
14:17While a child only briefly looks at a TV commercial,
14:20some may sit and play games like McDonald's land tycoon for hours on end.
14:25Dude, you're being advertised to every single.

15:46Second, according to a postdoctoral research associate in psychology
15:49at the University of Liverpool,
15:51quote, exposure to unhealthy food marketing and traditional advert games
15:55is associated with greater preferences for and more positive attitudes
15:59towards marketed unhealthy foods and brands.
16:02And also greater subsequent consumption of these foods.
16:05Fuck off.
16:06Yeah.
16:07So if he watches McDonald's, he's probably going to want McDonald's.
16:11That's weird.
16:11A kid wants cheeseburgers and fries.
16:13He was a celery man before.
16:15He loved baby spinach, but now he just wants chocolate milk.
16:18I don't know, dude.
16:19These stupid ass scientists.
16:21Ultimately, Roblox was pushed to update their advertising guidelines as a result,
16:24but many still take issue with the fact that there are
16:26so many advertisements based Roblox experiences,
16:28which right now, ladies and gentlemen, there's over 500.
16:31Listen, I think it's part of the meme too, though.
16:33I don't think people are going in and doing the McDonald's thing
16:35because they're just like, I just love McDonald's.
16:37It's kind of part of the meme.
16:38Also, it's something, you know?
16:39Yeah, they know what a McDonald's is and they want to like participate in it.
16:43Or yeah, they've seen videos of other people doing it.
16:45Yeah, it's all a part about like the cultural stuff.
16:47Like if there's probably some TikTok that blew up
16:49that like a Roblox McDonald's thing, it's going to pop off.
16:52But Nick, goddammit, that's not the only exploitation, right?
16:55It doesn't stop there.
16:57Roblox advertises that young game developers on the platform
17:00are able to make a living creating Roblox experiences
17:04by joining the developer exchange program,
17:06provided that they are at least 13 years old.
17:09Thank you, Roblox.
17:10How old are you?
17:10I'm 12.
17:12Yeah, you need to be 13 to get paid out by us, actually.
17:17Essentially, people create experiences
17:19and enable in-games perks that cost Robux.
17:21When players purchase them,
17:22they can receive a smaller portion of the sale in Robux
17:26that can be converted to real dollars.
17:28It's essentially the f***ing pyramid scheme that's at play here.
17:31And there are many high quality Roblox experiences
17:33that feel refined enough to be their own video game
17:36outside of the platform.
17:37Games like Roblox Frontlines,
17:40a shooter game that looks straight out of the modern Call of Duty style game.
17:42I will say this, it's pretty f***ing impressive.
17:44Yeah, that actually looks good.
17:46It looks sick.
17:46I've seen clips of it,
17:47and I was always like, what the f*** is this?
17:49But never played it yet, but it looks good.
17:50Roblox Doors, a multiplayer horror game
17:53inspired by Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion.
17:55Oh, yeah.
17:56Hey, that's Albino Moose Games.
17:57Don't they do Spooky's?
17:58Sheena?
17:59Am I high?
17:59She does Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion.
18:01Yeah, shout out Sheena.
18:02Albino Moose Games at Spooky's.
18:04Rainbow Friends, a massively popular multiplayer horror game
18:07where players are trapped in an amusement park
18:08and have to complete tasks while avoiding monsters,
18:11aka Poppy Playtime Friday Night at Freddy's meme.
18:14It's insane the amount of experience variety you'll find on Roblox,
18:17from shooters to horror games to VR chat rooms.
18:19It's like a never-ending ocean of content,
18:21which is also why I think it makes it so appealing to friend groups
18:24or like young kids.
18:25It's just like you hop in for a second, hop out.
18:26It's like an endless variety.
18:28You'll go from a game that looks like a modern next-gen console release
18:31next to an obstacle course where you have to scream in order to jump.
18:34And this is actually, uh...
18:36I love this one.
18:40So many good games where I'm like,
18:41if you were with your friends when you were younger,
18:43this would be sick.
18:43For every successful Roblox experience, however,
18:46there are far more stories of experiences that failed to take off.
18:49A YouTuber named PeopleMakeGames made a viral video
18:52that heavily criticized the way that Roblox's ecosystem
18:54directly exploits young game developers trying to make a name for themselves.
18:58It turns out that Roblox takes 30% of all profits made from your Roblox experience.
19:02Hard-working game devs are not taking home that remaining 70%.
19:05With a conversion rate of 0.0035,
19:08a developer exchanging 100,000 Robux makes a measly $350.
19:13You know what it's kind of like?
19:13It reminds me of Machinima.
19:14Yeah.
19:15Back in the day.
19:15Getting all those people to make, like, fucking Call of Duty clips.
19:18Doing 360 no-scopes or throwing the tomahawk at the beginning of the map and clipping that.
19:22And then it's like, this video got crazy numbers!
19:24And then they send you a check for, like, 300 bucks.
19:26But if you're a kid, you're like, no way!
19:28Keep in mind, you also need a premium Roblox monthly subscription
19:32to even access this feature.
19:33So you gotta pay to get paid, alright?
19:35You also need to hit a minimum of 30,000 Robux before you can cash out,
19:39which seems to encourage less successful creators
19:41to eventually give up on making a profit.
19:43Opting to just spend the Robux in-game instead.
19:45So basically, you have to make an absurd amount.
19:47And if you don't, then you're like, ah, fuck it.
19:48I'll just, like, I'm gonna play the game anyways.
19:50I might as well spend it.
19:51Then Roblox gets to...
19:53Very nice.
19:53I wonder what's in here.
19:54Does it talk about who's made the most money off Roblox?
19:56If there's any information on that, put them up here.
19:58What's their net worth?
19:59How much did they make?
20:01The fuck?
20:01There's gotta be some people who know how to, like, game the system or something like that.
20:04But it's Roblox, baby.
20:06It's cutthroat.
20:06For people that want to pay extra to promote their game,
20:09they must purchase another unique currency known as ad credits
20:13that cost 285 Robux each.
20:16I love how it just never goes outside the Robux currency.
20:18All right, well, you'll have to buy another credit with our own credit.
20:21I bet you after a while, they're gonna be like, no USD, only Bitcoin.
20:25I bet you anything that's what happens here pretty soon, dude.
20:27You need to purchase a minimum of 10 at a time.
20:29And when you do, then you enter a sort of bidding war with other creators
20:32to have your game advertised in the best slash most viable spots.
20:35So not only do you have to buy a minimum of 10 of them,
20:37but now you're just like, god, I hope it gets a good spot.
20:40Please get a good spot.
20:42Essentially, Roblox maximizes profits by creating a very difficult
20:45and often unsustainable dev ecosystem
20:48that has resulted in many creators becoming burned out at a very young age.
20:51Uh, Newsflash, get a normal f***ing job, dude.
20:54How about you don't build games in Roblox?
20:57I'm burnt out.
20:58Go outside!
20:59You're a child.
21:00If you were like a 40-year-old, you're like, this is all I have.
21:02I'd be like, well, buddy, I don't know, this is the f***ing ship you swam in on.
21:06Butter, I'd like.
21:07I don't know if you're a kid, you're like, I burnt out, Bob.
21:09I did a break.
21:10It's like, f*** off, dude.
21:13Some of these experiences end up having giant teams
21:16as they need more and more designers to maintain their popularity
21:18and elevate things.
21:19This often leads devs outside the Roblox community
21:22into game dev discord groups,
21:24sometimes even signing contracts to work for people
21:26who may very well be children as well.
21:29There's no way the money can be worth it.
21:31You're having a child sign an employment agreement?
21:34Word.
21:34Come on, they're at least 13.
21:36Are you at least 13?
21:38Like, no, camera.
21:39All right, I believe you.
21:40Show me your ID.
21:43All right.
21:44We do need the help maintaining Poppy's Playtime Roblox edition.
21:48For many young up-and-coming game devs,
21:50this can result in unfair business practices.
21:52The claims of child exploitation began escalating
21:54to the point where Turkey had banned Roblox outright.
21:57This resulted in groups of children protesting the streets of Turkey,
22:00chanting Roblox, come back.
22:03Roblox, come back!
22:04Roblox!
22:05Roblox!
22:07GTSC!
22:08Roblox!
22:09GTSC!
22:10You think like the 16-year-old or like the 17-year-old that's there,
22:13I think he's just like, what am I doing?
22:15Or is he just a guardian?
22:17I don't know, he's chanting with them.
22:18I mean, listen, it's an unruly group of children,
22:20but it's nothing like...
22:21I thought it was much bigger.
22:22Yeah, I mean, if it was like, you know, Mardi Gras,
22:24like the French quarters, like that pack,
22:26I would be like, holy sh**, this is crazy.
22:29Let's get outside of the money-making stuff.
22:31Let's talk about more of the player-created experiences,
22:33where some of the juicy, explicit, weird sh** starts to happen.
22:37Because I know that's why you all decided to click this video.
22:39We can start with Roblox condos,
22:42aka their virtual sex games in Roblox.
22:45These characters, you're gonna see a lot of that.
22:47As exciting as it is that children have an outlet to create whatever they want,
22:50user-generated content in Roblox sometimes delves into something much darker,
22:54like Roblox condo servers.
22:56Condos are sexually inappropriate games
22:58that find ways around Roblox's moderation filters.
23:01This results in the creation of games focused around dating,
23:03talking about, and engaging in sexual activities
23:06through the use of uniquely coded animations.
23:09Granted, they're pretty funny.
23:10There's a lot of them that are very, very funny.
23:12But you have to remember that, once again,
23:14don't forget that half the world's children are playing this game,
23:17which makes it, I would say, pretty creepy.
23:19I would say, all in all, pretty creepy.
23:20Some maps in this genre include digital strip clubs and red light districts.
23:24Oh, baby.
23:25Often, these games are created and banned incredibly fast,
23:28sometimes in under an hour.
23:29While Roblox had moderation tools set to catch things like this,
23:32they are constantly re-emerging in new locations under different accounts.
23:35I got people who are just like,
23:36we need our fix.
23:38Think about, like, people deleting and they're like,
23:39we need to make a new one.
23:40We gotta get back in there.
23:41Just go to a real strip club, dude.
23:43Oh, I know.
23:44Do they take Robux?
23:45Do you think that even in these things,
23:46they probably can't moderate how old a person is to let them in, right?
23:49No, that's why they just ban them.
23:50It's against TOS.
23:51I see.
23:52As you would expect, not all users in these servers are children,
23:55and it seems that many try to move their conversations
23:57onto different apps outside of Roblox.
23:58People use Roblox as a connecting tool to get a little p***y,
24:02get some boy butt,
24:03do whatever they can, man.
24:04Little horndogs.
24:05People are horny.
24:05It's a primal human evolutionary trait, man.
24:08People just trying to get that dog out of them.
24:10I think it is mostly children.
24:12It's gotta definitely be.
24:14Because I remember I played Starcraft 2,
24:16and there's a very infamous map where 10 people can join
24:20to see a nude of Britney Spears.
24:22And all it was is you'd join in the lobby,
24:24the game would start,
24:25it'd play like a little animation,
24:27and then when the map end,
24:28it would like show like a nude of her,
24:30and then it would end,
24:31and then you just keep clicking that,
24:32getting in the lobby.
24:34Get back, get back in, get back in.
24:36An exciting time for the early days of the internet.
24:38But you know, not all of these extreme servers
24:41are just special by nature, right?
24:42Inappropriate Roblox servers like this have existed in the past,
24:46sometimes taking a turn towards the extreme roleplay side.
24:49Some people were able to get away
24:51with creating third-rank roleplay servers
24:53in inappropriate settings.
24:54People were literally creating World War II Germany in Roblox.
24:58It's very odd.
24:59We can't show, you know, you blur it,
25:01but I'm just saying.
25:02Some servers gave the ability to roleplay as members of the KKK
25:05and enact vicious hate crimes as a Roblox character.
25:09And in other experiences,
25:10players get to dress up and reenact terrorist attacks.
25:13And I mean, God.
25:14According to a Hindenburg research report,
25:16Roblox was found to be an X-rated pedophile hellscape
25:20exposing children to grooming, pornography,
25:22violent content, and extremely abusive speech.
25:25Goddamn, dude.
25:29We started off as an X-rated pedophile hellscape.
25:32Imagine being the parent of a child who plays Roblox
25:34whenever you're just like...
25:38You want to take some time off there, big man?
25:42I can't.
25:42Me and my friends are going into an experience right now.
25:45It details a list of alarming examples
25:47of people abusing the game to do harm to children.
25:49Like a case in 2018,
25:50when a 29-year-old man groomed and engaged
25:53in inappropriate behavior with 150 minors.
25:56Jeez.
25:56Goddamn.
25:57When he was arrested,
25:58the police found 175 hours of footage
26:00showing proof of these demented acts.
26:02175 hours.
26:05You don't want to be seeing somebody
26:06that looks kind of weird online
26:07and people look at the comment section
26:08and they're just like, terabytes.
26:09This is one of the guys that is actually like that.
26:11During their research,
26:12they found a now-removed community group
26:14called Adult Studios,
26:15where thousands of members would solicit sexual acts
26:17from minors as well as trade CP
26:19and many other similar groups are found as well.
26:22Hundreds of Roblox experiences
26:23relating to Jeffrey Epstein and P. Diddy
26:25easily got past their moderation filters,
26:27allowing games like Escape to Epstein Island
26:30and Diddy Party to run interrupted
26:32for a long, long time.
26:35That's just trolls, though.
26:36It's just a funny meme.
26:38I mean, it is, but it's still,
26:39whenever there's so much other actual pedophilia
26:41going on the side,
26:42it's just one of those things where it's like,
26:43really?
26:44That's just not a filter.
26:45So you can have a game called Escape to Epstein
26:47and also Escape to Epstein's Island.
26:50And the thumbnail is just, I, god damn.
26:52Other Vogel games include experiences
26:54such as Beat Up Homeless Outside 7-Eleven Simulator
26:57or Beat Up the Pregnant.
27:04Children are the most cruel,
27:06just unbelievably evil people on the planet.
27:08They just have no filter.
27:09So they're just like,
27:10yeah, I'm beating up the homeless outside of 7-Eleven.
27:13But me and my friends are going to log on
27:14to Beat Up the Pregnant Women server.
27:16And your mom's just like,
27:18okay, and just shuts the door.
27:20But unfortunately, many play Roblox
27:22with much more sinister intentions.
27:24Didn't we just get done talking about files?
27:26Many play Roblox,
27:27not just to talk with people online
27:29in sinister ways, right?
27:31For all the kind of weird stuff
27:32that we just talked about.
27:32But some people want to take it a step further
27:34and take the people from the Roblox experience
27:37into real life.
27:38Like a 38-year-old man who was given
27:40a child's address over Roblox.
27:41So he comes over with his fly down
27:44only to get confronted by their mother.
27:45And according to him,
27:46he just wanted to do some Minecraft stuff together.
27:50You think you can come in my house
27:51and play with my 12-year-old?
27:53No, bro.
27:54See if we can do Minecraft and stuff.
27:56It looks like a f***ing
27:57To Catch a Predator episode.
27:59It's haunting.
28:00It's like a five-year-old is like,
28:01you know this man?
28:02He's like, yeah.
28:05Why are you sending this grown man our address?
28:09He your friend?
28:11How old are you?
28:1238.
28:1338?
28:14Do you know how old-
28:15Dude, how old are you?
28:16I'm 38.
28:17What were you going to do with a 12-year-old?
28:20I don't know.
28:21What's crazy is when I was 8, 10, 12 years old,
28:25I wanted to talk to older people
28:27because I thought they're cool.
28:28But now as an adult,
28:29I see that's like wildly inappropriate.
28:33Yeah.
28:34Trying to think if I was 10, 11, 12, whatever.
28:36I don't think I've ever been like,
28:37how old are you?
28:38That guy's like 40.
28:40I'm like, oh, you're cool.
28:43I'm usually just like prehistoric b***h.
28:45You don't know s*** about this, dude.
28:46I'm young.
28:46You're old.
28:47You're going to die soon.
28:48You know that?
28:48That's the heartless thing.
28:49So you might've been somebody
28:51to give your address out on Roblox.
28:53Come hang out with me.
28:54Come on.
28:55My door code is this.
28:57My mom and dad go to bed at 10 o'clock.
28:59My mom and dad are going to be in Cancun for three weeks.
29:02I'm going to be here all alone.
29:03They keep calling me Kevin McAllister.
29:06Dude, is this the rest of this just file s***?
29:08There's one sad story to end on.
29:13Of course.
29:13You know, in some instances,
29:14not everything's s***ual, dude.
29:16Sometimes it's something as cool as
29:17a woman convincing a child to kill another infant.
29:21You know, Roblox is awesome.
29:23Such as 36-year-old Tara Alexis Sykes,
29:25who was arrested in 2024 for aggravated child abuse.
29:28This began on Roblox,
29:29where the woman had been conversating
29:30with her 10-year-old daughter.
29:32It seems that the daughter
29:33was no longer living with Sykes,
29:34instead staying with two temporary guardians.
29:36Sykes began giving her instructions
29:38on how to kill both of her guardians,
29:40quote, by cutting their throats with a knife
29:42while they slept and burning their house
29:43by dosing bedsheets and aerosol spray
29:46and setting them on fire.
29:47Now imagine that,
29:48but it's two Roblox characters
29:51standing in front of each other, okay?
29:53This extended to her two-month-old infant as well,
29:55where she requested that she kill him
29:56by either drowning, burning, or dropping him.
30:01How f***ing sadistic do you have to be
30:02to tell, like, a f***ing child this?
30:05The young girl was terrified of her mother
30:06and felt that disobeying her
30:08would somehow lead to her being killed.
30:09Because of this,
30:10she exited the room
30:11to pick up her two-month-old infant
30:12before dropping her to the floor.
30:14The baby was rushed to the hospital
30:15and found to have a skull fracture,
30:16and Sykes was arrested.
30:21I'm hoping the child is fine
30:23besides the brain damage.
30:25You know, we were gonna do this video.
30:27I thought that we were just gonna be
30:28looking at funny clips of voice chats and stuff,
30:31but Roblox is a very scary place
30:33and you should stay away from Roblox.
30:35If you're a child, get off Roblox, please.
30:38I'm sure that there's good spots of Roblox.
30:40It's not that the whole thing is f***ing terrible,
30:41of course, but...
30:42Me and my buddies, we play Roblox.
30:44We have our own little server.
30:45We all met on Roblox
30:47in the McDonald's experience.
30:52I don't know what you do in your free time.
30:55All I know is I feel like Roblox
30:57has become too big for its own good.
30:58Too many kids on it.
30:59I'd say just wipe it.
31:00I think if, if, if...
31:01What?
31:02I think, yeah.
31:02I think get rid of it.
31:03No!
31:03Destroy it.
31:04No!
31:05I think get rid of it, dude.
31:06You have Minecraft.
31:07I feel like Minecraft exists.
31:08You don't need,
31:09you don't need all other stuff.
31:10It's different,
31:11because you can,
31:12you can change your character,
31:14and you can do funny animations,
31:16funny sounds.
31:17There's a lot to it.
31:19It's complex.
31:20Yeah, there's,
31:20there's evil people everywhere.
31:22There's evil people everywhere.
31:23That's true.
31:24But I think whenever half of the world's
31:26population of children.
31:27Or half of America's population.
31:29The world.
31:30I don't know, dude.
31:32This should have left a sour taste in my mouth.
31:33Goddamn, man.
31:34You want to get on my server?
31:35I can show you around my penthouse suite.
31:39Okay, let's go.
31:40All right, let's do it.
