00:00FPL Blank Game Week 29 is finally here.
00:03I have seven players in my lineup that are not playing in Game Week 29,
00:08either because of injuries or because they don't have a fixture,
00:10but I do have four free transfers.
00:13In today's video, we'll have a look at what I'm planning on doing in my team.
00:16Should we be selling Colt Palmer?
00:17Should we be buying Erling Haaland?
00:19Should Salah go?
00:20Should EZAC go?
00:21Should Trent go?
00:22We will cover all of that, plus some of your key questions.
00:24What should you do about capacity in Game Week 29?
00:30What is up, everyone?
00:35FPL Harry here.
00:36Before we dive in, 2,000 likes is the aim.
00:38Subscribe if you are new around here as well.
00:41And it is finally here.
00:42The Blank Game Week for the four teams that we have in Aston Villa and Liverpool
00:46and Newcastle and Crystal Palace is here.
00:48Those four teams do not have a fixture in Game Week 29,
00:51as they've had doubles recently with the clash of the Carabao Cup final.
00:55That does leave some of our squads looking pretty decimated,
00:58and you can see for me, that is the case, really.
01:02So I have, in theory, seven players that I can't field this week.
01:05Of course, Fabianski is just my backup goalkeeper,
01:08but then we have Trent, Munoz, Salah, Watkins and EZAC.
01:11Five players from the teams that have a blank fixture.
01:14And then, of course, we have Ahmad as well,
01:16who looks like he's injured still for several more months,
01:18and he has Leicester this week.
01:20I really could have done with Ahmad not picking up the injury.
01:22This was one of the weeks that I really wanted to play him.
01:25Now, as a bit of a disclaimer,
01:27I'm recording just as the second half of Manchester United vs Arsenal is starting.
01:32Bruno Fernandes has put Manchester United 1-0 up.
01:35That means I have lost my clean sheet for Gabriel.
01:38Arsenal just don't seem to be keeping clean sheets,
01:40and it feels like it's been so long since he scored.
01:43Hopefully, this is a little jinx mid-video,
01:45and you're going to get to the end, and he's going to have scored,
01:47and it's going to be great for my rank.
01:49I'm on a small green arrow at the moment.
01:51Of course, did have Ollie Watkins this week,
01:53but I don't have Jared Bowen,
01:55and I only have Alexander Isak left playing on Monday night,
01:58and there is no Arsenal clean sheet.
02:00So, I'm on a small green arrow.
02:02How big that green arrow stays,
02:03we'll have to review once we get that game out of the way,
02:05and we'll talk about it in my team selection video on Thursday.
02:08So, looking at game week 29, this is my lineup at the moment.
02:11We have Pickford in goal.
02:12We currently have a back three of Greaves, Gabriel, and Mikalenko.
02:16We then have a midfield three of Palmer and Bermo,
02:19and Kluivert, who's currently got the vice-captaincy for me,
02:22and then we have got Chris Wood up front.
02:24But fortunately for me, I have four free transfers
02:27in order to be able to deal with this,
02:29and probably put out a full 11 of players.
02:32So, it doesn't look great on paper,
02:34but of course, with all those players on the bench,
02:37I am looking to sell some of them to put a full team out this week.
02:40Now, in terms of priority, which of them I'm prioritizing selling,
02:44I don't think I'm going to sell Salah.
02:45I just think even if he comes back in in game week 30, I want him.
02:49Watkins is almost certain that he'll go.
02:50Trent is almost certain that he'll go.
02:53Ahmad, I'm almost certain that he'll go as well,
02:55and those will probably be three of my four transfers.
02:58Munoz, Salah, and Izak, I plan on benching,
03:00and then I might use a transfer on someone who doesn't blank,
03:03like Brian and Bermo, like Palmer, or even Greaves,
03:06to try and strengthen the lineup that I've already got.
03:08Now, at time recording, there are a couple of other things to note.
03:11The first is Palmer went off after the 77th minute.
03:14It sounds like he was just ill.
03:16The form is really, really alarming as a Chelsea fan
03:18and as a Palmer owner as well.
03:20I do think that is the most obvious place to get money
03:23if you're looking to buy Haaland, and the other one is Semenyu.
03:25Lots of you will be looking to buy Semenyu,
03:27but it does sound like he went off with Cramp.
03:29There is a small chance that he was holding his hamstring, though,
03:32when he went off. Again, we think it's Cramp,
03:34but both of those players are what happens with them in fitness
03:37is going to be a big part of my upcoming plans.
03:39There is also a lot of games midweek.
03:41Of course, we have Champions League for the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.
03:44We have Europa League for Manchester United and Spurs.
03:47We have Europa Conference League for Chelsea as well.
03:50All of these could have a little bit of an implication
03:53of which players I'm happy to sell,
03:55because, for example, if Liverpool go out of the Champions League
03:59and suddenly it looks like the chances of Trent and maybe Salah
04:01being rotated further down the line
04:03when they're clashing with the Champions League is less,
04:06I might decide to hold on to them.
04:08But if they get through, it might slightly increase the chance of me selling them.
04:10So I generally think I'm going to hold on to my transfers
04:13until at least Thursday when we have some of those European games out of the way.
04:17Now, I know I'm going to lose a bit of value,
04:19but I also need a bit of fitness update on a few players as well going into the deadline.
04:23The last thing I want to do this week with no bench is buy players early,
04:27them get injured in Europe and me having to take hits to try and sort that.
04:31So I'm not playing my free hit.
04:32I'm not playing my wild card,
04:34but I do plan on using all four transfers most likely,
04:36but not until probably Friday this week.
04:40So just before we have a look at some of the potential plans,
04:43to answer three of the big questions this week
04:45that you've already been asking on the YouTube community section
04:48and over on Twitter as well.
04:49First of all is what to do with Dango Attara.
04:52So, of course, he didn't start this week.
04:53Generally, the plan is that we don't think he's going to start going forward as well.
04:57We had goals from pretty much and goal involvements from everyone
05:00that he could rotate with. Of course,
05:01Evan Nielsen scored, Kluivert picking up an assist as well.
05:05I'm not sure I'd sell him if it's for a minus four
05:07because of course there is a chance that he gets back into the starting lineup.
05:10However, if you don't own Kluivert,
05:12then Dango to Kluivert is something I'd consider for a minus four.
05:15If it's going to be a minus four for someone else,
05:17there aren't many midfielders that I particularly like.
05:19You could look at someone like a Gibbs White,
05:22someone like an Elango that you could go to as well.
05:25Semenya, if he's available, you could go to as well.
05:28I'm a little bit more reluctant to say these are worth a minus four
05:30because although Dango is unlikely to start,
05:33he is going to get some minutes.
05:34So those players automatically have to get an attack in return for it to pay off.
05:38So Kluivert is probably the only one immediately
05:40that I think is definitely worth a minus four.
05:43If you don't want Dango and also you're looking at game week 30 as well,
05:46you could look to take a hit for someone else though.
05:48Evan Ilson is next.
05:49We're starting to look at some of those best cheap midfielders and forwards.
05:52And again, looking at Bournemouth,
05:53you have to look at Evan Ilson, Kluivert and Semenya as the best ones.
05:56Of course, Semenya did go off late on
05:58and some of the apps are flagging it as an injury substitution.
06:01So we'll have to keep an eye on that for Semenya.
06:03But Evan Ilson along with Beto have to look like the best cheap forwards.
06:07Of course, if you don't own Chris Wood,
06:08I probably would put him above Evan Ilson again
06:11because Evan Ilson is unlikely to play more than
06:13about 70-75 minutes in games at the moment.
06:16So although I do like him, there is that little bit of a downside to him.
06:20I do like Beto as another cheap one.
06:22I probably wouldn't go in on Jal Pedro away at Manchester City.
06:25Also, Danny Welbeck could come back into the starting lineup as well.
06:28We aren't fully certain that Jal Pedro keeps his place
06:31and a similar thing for Raul Jimenez rotating with Munez at Fulham as well.
06:35So if I was looking for forwards, Harland I like,
06:37but he's not a cheap one.
06:39Chris Wood is there.
06:40You've got Evan Ilson and you've got Beto as well.
06:42If you're looking at midfielders, of course, there's Kluivert,
06:45Semenya, Gibbs-White, Alanga, Minte, Mitoma
06:48are probably the ones that I would have a look at.
06:49With players returning for Arsenal,
06:51I don't think I'd be looking to buy Wanyeri anymore.
06:54There are a few other cheap ones at Wolves
06:56that you could potentially have a look at and there's loads of options.
06:59Apart from Kluivert, none of them stand out as being absolute definite.
07:03So there is a lot of opportunity to take some differentials punt
07:06in that midfield spot and even in that board line if you want them as well.
07:10And talking of Erling Harland is do you need him for game week 29
07:14and of course game week 30 as well with Leicester at home
07:17with a lot of you looking to Wildcard in game week 31.
07:20I would say that Harland is probably the best captain in game week 29
07:23just because he is a good goal scorer,
07:25although they've not been that good recently
07:27and they play a Brighton team who have been very good
07:30and they failed to score against Nottingham Forest.
07:32Recency Buyer says you definitely do not need Harland.
07:35Over the course of the season,
07:36we know you do not need Harland in your team.
07:38No, he is not essential by any means.
07:41However, with the form of someone like a Cole Palmer,
07:43with someone like a Trent not having a fixture,
07:45if you have routes to Harland for free,
07:48yes, I would consider it and it is probably likely
07:51I buy Erling Harland into my team this week.
07:53Do I think he's worth the money?
07:54No. Do I think he's going to absolutely smash it over the next couple of weeks?
07:57No. So if you can't do it really easily, don't do it.
08:01There will be people who go and do it.
08:03There will be some that don't do it.
08:05I think we've just seen so far this season that it's just not worth the money
08:08and we're seeing it recently.
08:09But if you're wild-carding 31
08:11and you want to buy him for Brighton at home and Leicester at home
08:13in the next two games, that is absolutely fine.
08:17So looking at my plan for game week 29 to get more players out,
08:21I have four plans and I know this is not very useful,
08:25but this is where I'm at.
08:26I have four plans based on what I could do and I haven't fully decided.
08:29They are ranked in order of most likely from plan 1
08:33being probably 60% chance to plan 4
08:36probably being about a 5 maybe 10% chance of happening.
08:39So plan 1 is the sort of boring.
08:42It's the most obvious it would be to sell Trent.
08:44It would be sell Palmer Watkins and buy Harland
08:47and use up all four of my transfers and we'll go through that in just a moment.
08:50Plan 2 will be to sell Trent and Bermo and Watkins from minus 4 in order to buy Harland.
08:56So in order to keep Palmer over Brian and Bermo,
08:59I would have to take a minus 4 probably to downgrade someone like Jordan Pickford,
09:02but it is all out.
09:03It does give me Isak, Salah, Palmer and Harland all in the same team,
09:08but it does result in a minus 4. Plan 3 is to use up all four of my transfers,
09:13get a full 11 out, but don't buy Erling Harland and that frees up a lot of money,
09:18allows me to keep Isak, Palmer, Salah very easily in my lineup as well.
09:23And plan 4 is to only make two transfers, play with 10 players,
09:27don't buy Erling Harland and then take sort of three transfers into game week 30
09:31after the FA Cup and have things look much clearer and be allowed to pivot.
09:35Maybe buy out Erling Harland for Leicester at home in game week 30
09:38if it looks like I do need him for the long term.
09:40If it looks like I don't need Palmer because of the doubles and blanks
09:44or depending on the chip strategy,
09:45it would allow me to reset at a time where we'll have lots more information,
09:50but it would basically guarantee that I get a red arrow this week.
09:53So let's dive in and have a look at those.
09:55So plan 1, the obvious one, sell Trent, Palmer, Watkins and also Ahmad as well.
10:00Bring in Harland, probably Semenya if he's available, Gibbs-White and Kyrgiz
10:04all with good fixtures this week.
10:05It probably would mean I'd put the County Armband on Harland.
10:08I do think Trent is going to go from a lot of teams.
10:11I do like the upcoming fixtures.
10:12I do think he's a good asset,
10:14but if they stay in the Champions League in particular
10:16with Bradley coming back after the international break,
10:18I just don't think he's worth seven and a half million
10:20when you do have some really good cheap defenders in the likes of Kyrgiz.
10:23It could also be Yank Norrie.
10:25It could be Gavardiol in there as well, all being good picks.
10:28Again, Semenya and Gibbs-White,
10:29I'm not guaranteeing that those would be the ones that I would go to,
10:32but it would be two midfielders in and around that price.
10:35So I would be also looking at someone like a mid-timer.
10:37I can't quite stretch up to Jared Bowen unless I don't go for Kyrgiz.
10:41If I go down to someone like a Nico Williams of Nottingham Forest,
10:45I could get up to a Jared Bowen,
10:46but it's this sort of combination is the most obvious.
10:49It would get me Harland.
10:50It would get me more Bournemouth with their nice fixtures of Brentford at home,
10:53Ipswich at home.
10:54It would get me another midfielder who I could punt on,
10:56which would probably end up being Gibbs-White.
10:58Looking at how that would line up for me going into game week 29,
11:03we'd have Pickford in goal, Greaves, Gabriel, Kyrgiz, Mikalenko.
11:06Most of them result in me playing a back four,
11:09and Bournemouth, Gibbs-White, Kluivert, Semenya, Harland, Captain, and Chris Wood.
11:12It's a pretty nice-looking lineup.
11:14The only person I'm really missing maybe is Bruno Fernandes.
11:17I don't feel like I need him.
11:18I think he's a good option,
11:19and he'll be in almost every free-hit team going up against Leicester.
11:22I don't think you particularly want him long-term.
11:25I don't mind him as a two-week partner if you're going to wild-card 31,
11:27but generally, if I'm going Harland,
11:29I don't really have the money affording to go and buy Bruno Fernandes.
11:35Next up is having a look at plan two, which was the all-out,
11:37keeping Parma, getting Harland, keeping Isak, keeping Salah.
11:41So this would be, of course, Watkins to Harland that we've spoken about.
11:44It would be Pickford to Saar, Umberto to Semenya,
11:47Ahmad to someone like a Lange,
11:48Trent down to someone cheaper than Kyrgiz like a Williams,
11:51and, of course, Watkins to Harland, four and minus four.
11:54There are a few other ways that I could do this.
11:56If I didn't go for Semenya and I went for someone like a Minte,
11:59instead of Williams, I could go up and buy someone like a Kyrgiz.
12:02I could try and get Nate Norrie in there.
12:04I could come down from Semenya to a Minte, for example,
12:07and not have to do the goalkeeper minus four and just keep Pickford.
12:11The only benefit to doing that is the fixes going forward for Everton are really bad,
12:15whereas the fixes going forward for Wolves look pretty good,
12:18and Saar is very nice and cheap.
12:20With that in mind, again, I don't know for certain with my chip strategy
12:24that I'm definitely going to wildcard in game week 31.
12:28So having someone like Saar for the long term,
12:30although it's a minus four, is more useful than having Pickford for his upcoming fixtures.
12:35This is basically, I don't think the fringe players are much different,
12:39but do I think keeping Palmer is worth taking a minus four over keeping Brian and Bermo?
12:44Because look at the upcoming Brentford fixtures, right?
12:46Bournemouth away, Newcastle away, Chelsea at home, Arsenal away.
12:49Like he's not going to be on anyone wildcarding in game week 31.
12:52He's not going to be owned that much going forward.
12:55So if I don't think I'm going to wildcard in game week 31
12:58because I still have the assistant manager chip,
13:01selling Brian and Bermo and keeping Cole Palmer might be worthwhile.
13:04I wish I saw more from Cole Palmer today to make that slightly more appealing.
13:09I think this has probably dropped in my ranking or my percentage chance of doing it slightly
13:14just because Palmer looked a little bit off it.
13:16But this is something I'm considering for a minus four
13:19or I don't do the goalkeeper transfer this week
13:21and I maybe try and not go for Semenya and downgrade a little bit of money elsewhere.
13:25But of course, I probably need the money from Pickford to do it.
13:28In terms of what that would look like for me,
13:30it would give me a minus four this week.
13:31Jose Sar in goal, Mikalenko, Gabriel, Williams, Greaves, Elanga, Palmer, Kluivert, Semenya
13:36and of course Haaland up front with Chris Wood captaining Erling Haaland.
13:40Pretty similar to the team that we've got before,
13:41but it allows me to have Palmer in over keeping Brian and Bermo
13:45and a few other potential downgrades like Elanga over Gibbs White
13:49and Jose Sar over Pickford as well.
13:51Moving into plan number three, which is the no Haaland team.
13:55It would be only using three of my four free transfers,
13:58but I wouldn't need to use up another transfer.
14:01I'm selling someone like a Cole Palmer, an Izak or a Salah
14:04or an Mbermo to free up the money for Haaland.
14:07So it would straight be Watkins, probably to Evan Ilson.
14:09It could be to Beto, but probably Evan Ilson.
14:11Ahmad probably to Gibbs White and Trent to Kerkes.
14:14Again, I could go for Gavardia all over Kerkes
14:16and that would allow me to go for Semenya over Gibbs White.
14:19There are a few little combinations.
14:20I'm not saying that these are the exact players I'm looking to buy.
14:24It's just sort of combinations of transfers.
14:26If I decide I don't want Haaland, this is what it could look like.
14:29But you're pretty obviously seeing Watkins, Ahmad and Trent.
14:32I'm almost certain I'm going to sell all three of those going into this week.
14:36Again, this would give me a back four this week.
14:38It would allow me to roll one of my transfers into game week 30,
14:41which could be useful.
14:42I could decide on Haaland in game week 30 as well.
14:45Pickford, Mikulenko, Gabriel, Kerkes, Greaves,
14:48Mbamo, Palmer, Kluivert, Gibbs White, Evan Ilson and Chris Wood.
14:51Kamte here is a little bit more difficult because I don't own Haaland.
14:54It would be Chris Wood probably with Kluivert getting the vice captain.
14:58Palmer probably wouldn't given the way that Arsenal are defending.
15:01And the final one is the more boring one.
15:03It would be the sort of take the red arrow approach.
15:05It would be Watkins to Evan Ilson and Ahmad to either Semenya or Gibbs White.
15:08Could do either of those because I'm not planning on buying Kerkes in this scenario.
15:13It would roll my two other transfers into game week 30,
15:15giving me three transfers in game week 30.
15:18It would guarantee I get a red arrow this week, right?
15:20Pickford, Mikulenko, Gabriel, Greaves, Mbamo, Palmer, Kluivert, Gibbs White,
15:24Chris Wood and Evan Ilson.
15:26I do not think that team looks that bad.
15:28It does give me three transfers in game week 30.
15:32It's just how important I think this week is and buying Erling Haaland.
15:36So we've got four possibilities here just to wrap those up.
15:40Looking at them, of course, number one is the most obvious.
15:42It's just to do what I think a lot of people will do,
15:44will sell Trent, Palmer, Watkins and buy Haaland.
15:47Plan two will be the sort of all out,
15:48trying to keep in all of the premiums in Salah, Palmer, Izak and Haaland
15:54in the same team and selling Mbamo instead.
15:56Plan number three would be sell Trent and Watkins along with Ahmad
15:59and don't buy Haaland.
16:00And plan four is just take a red arrow, play with 10 players,
16:03hope you get lucky and reset in game week 30.
16:07And just like that, Arsenal have equalized.
16:09It is now 1-1 at time of recording.
16:11So just to go back and summarize where we're at.
16:14I have got four free transfers.
16:17I'm almost certain I'll use at least three of them.
16:19Chances are I'll use four.
16:20There is a very small chance I just use two,
16:22as I said in plan four and take a red arrow.
16:25There are lots of different plans there,
16:26but hopefully it's useful to you depending on if you want Haaland or not.
16:31You can use plans three or four.
16:33If you want Haaland, use plan one and two.
16:35I don't think plan two will work that well.
16:38It's just I have really good team value.
16:40So I could try and stretch it to that.
16:41And if your team value is really good,
16:42maybe it's an opportunity to try and use that to your advantage and keep Parma.
16:47But I'm not massively convinced by his form and his Arsenal away this week,
16:51which just doesn't look like a good fixture.
16:53If he had a better fixture this week and then Spurs at home next week,
16:56maybe it would be more beneficial, but I'm not really sure it is.
16:59But as I've said, there is Champions League on Tuesday.
17:02There's Champions League on Wednesday.
17:03There's Europa League and Europa Comics League on Thursday,
17:06which will have little implications on future transfers.
17:09If Liverpool crash out, if Spurs go out, if Chelsea go out,
17:12lots of these things might change.
17:14Future bits of rotation, predicted minutes in the future,
17:17predicted doubles if Spurs or Man United go out and things like that,
17:20which might have small implications on chip strategy.
17:23I know I'm going to lose value over the next four days,
17:26but I'm not going to make early transfers.
17:28Partly because I'm not certain on what I want to do.
17:30I need a little bit of injury update.
17:32Like Cole Parma went off with illness, apparently.
17:35Semenya went off with a tight hamstring,
17:36and he's involved in a lot of those transfer plans.
17:38So as much as I might want to trace value,
17:40and you might want to trace value as well,
17:42unless you are knowing for certain exactly what you're doing,
17:46I would urge a little bit of caution to wait until later on in the week,
17:49and that is my plan.
17:50At the moment, I've got this lovely 3-3-1 formation
17:53with Pickford, Greaves, Gabriel, Mikalenko, Parma, and Wermo,
17:56Kluivert with the vice-captaincy, and Wood with the captaincy.
17:59It won't look anything like that, but it's a blank game week, so we'll see.
18:02If you're looking to play your free hit this week,
18:04we will have a video out later this week discussing just free hit.
18:08And whether you should do it, whether you shouldn't,
18:10what are the criteria, and what a team would look like.
18:13Also, we'll probably do a wildcard draft if you're looking to wildcard 29,
18:16which is also a potential strategy as well in a separate video.
18:19But if you are wildcarding or free hitting or considering either of those,
18:23and you have questions about it, drop it in the comment section down below,
18:26and I will use them to make sure I'm covering as much of that in those videos as possible.
18:30Also, general questions are going to be really useful to me
18:33to make sure my videos this week are as useful as possible for you.
18:36So even if I don't directly respond to your question in the comments,
18:41I will be looking at them when I plan my other videos to make sure I'm answering as much,
18:44because I know there's going to be a lot going on ahead of game week 29, the blank.
18:49We're going to wrap it up there. I'm not certain what I'm doing.
18:51I've got four plans. I need to decide on how much I want Harland in 29,
18:55how much I want him in 30, and potentially what my chip strategy will look like
18:59after some of the European games as well.
19:02Thank you all so much for watching.
19:03Hopefully, this is just the nice thing to start the week.
19:05There's going to be an awful lot of content this week, so stay with it.
19:08There'll be hopefully something that answers all of your questions as well,
19:10depending on what your strategy is.
19:11We're going to cover it all, but yeah, lots of videos coming your way.
19:15We'll wrap it up there. Have a lovely evening.
19:17If you're watching this on Sunday, I should get this out in time.
19:19If not, it'll be Monday morning. Then there'll be a video pretty much Tuesday,
19:21Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and into the deadline stream on Saturday as well.
19:26Thank you for watching. 2,000 likes is the aim.
19:27Subscribe if you are new around here, and I'll be back again very soon.
