00:00Former President Rodrigo Duterte's supporters, Malacanang, have talked to him about the possible use of the arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court.

00:18No communication has been received about the arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court against former President Rodrigo Duterte.

00:25The ICC Prosecutor's Office said that they did not comment on the ongoing investigation.

00:34The ICC Prosecutor's Office is investigating the crimes committed since November 1, 2011 until March 16, 2019 in the context of the war on drugs.

00:44March 17, 2019, the Philippines' involvement in the ICC is becoming effective.

00:49But the Philippines is still a member of the Interpol.

00:51That's why the government said that it cannot just ignore the request of the Interpol.

00:57If there is a communication from the ICC or Interpol, said Palacio.

01:01Our law enforcement agencies are ready if they need to serve the warrant of arrest because of the request of Interpol.

01:12The government is also ready to stop any chaos that can be caused by serving the warrant of arrest against the former president.

01:19Until now, Palacio has spoken to his supporters.

01:24We will stop any chaos.

01:26What we will do is to follow the law.

01:29I hope that the minds of other countries will not be hard-headed to stop this, just like what happened during the arrest of Pastor Iboloy.

01:40According to the DOJ, if there is a notice from the Interpol,

01:43it will be received by the National Central Bureau, formed by the PNP, the Bureau of Immigration and the NBI.

01:49All these requests will be evaluated.

01:52We have to see that the Interpol request is a valid request.

01:57That is the only time that it will be given due course and on that basis, the agencies will act.

02:03As of now, Palacio believes what the former president said, that his visit to Hong Kong is just to visit the OFWs there and not to escape the warrant.

02:15Because we are no longer members, they can go directly to the law enforcement agency.

02:21They can also go directly to a third-party country that is still a member of the ICC.

02:27So the options of the ICC are wide.
