00:00In the continuation of the food adventure of the Irish Thai actor Kevin Dasom in Quezon City,
00:05he will take us to a place where you will find food that will bring you happiness.
00:13European style with a touch of Pinoy flavors.
00:16Come on, let's go with him to Huluk here in Panay Avenue.
00:20Food Explorers, let's go on a food trip.
00:25Huluk is a Dutch word that means happiness.
00:27It originated from Greece and was brought here to the Philippines.
00:30But then we tweaked some of the menu.
00:33It's because it didn't fit all the menus from Europe.
00:37The twist is that we added umami flavor to the European foods.
00:42We have a lot of selections here since Huluk is from Greece,
00:46but we didn't limit it to Greek food.
00:48So we have Spanish, Italian, French.
00:50We made a fusion of different countries from Europe.
00:55All right, so what do we have on the menu today?
00:57So for the starters, we have the jamon croquettes.
01:00It is made of a cheesy baked roll with smoked jamon on top.
01:06The sauce is made from marinara sauce.
01:09Excuse me.
01:12Mmm, that sauce is a killer.
01:15So good.
01:17So the viewers won't be able to try this unless you come to the restaurant.
01:21We have also here the hummus, but with a twist.

01:29For me, we didn't add a twist to the eggplant hummus.
01:33So basically, it's the hummus like the ones served in other restaurants.
01:38But we wanted it to be different, so we added an eggplant on that.
01:43And it's a mashed eggplant, and it's a grilled one.

02:37And we have here the ox tongue and mushroom.
02:41It is a slow-cooked ox tongue simmered in beef stock with a white sauce, reduction wine sauce.
02:55You know, one thing about ox tongue is when you say ox tongue, a lot of people don't want to try it.
03:00They're like, tongue? Who eats tongue?
03:02Ox tongue is one of the most tender meats on the buffalo, on the ox.
03:07It just goes down easily.
03:10And I'm like, okay, I'm going to try some carbs now.
03:13Some nice steamed potato.

03:19I love potato and that potato is lovely potato, so take a look at that.
03:27And we have also the squid ink paella from Spain.
03:32It is a dish from Valencia, Spain.

03:38It's rice and there's a squid ink.

03:44Okay, it's not berry rice, it's squid ink rice.

03:54Is it your first time trying the squid ink paella?
03:58Yeah, first time trying it, so I like it.
04:02And of course, for the pizza, we have the truffle pizza.

04:10Now to the heaviest, probably the heaviest.

04:26Wow, that truffle gives the mozzarella cheese like a perfect counter.

04:35they also have cocktail drinks that Kevin seems to have enjoyed.
04:39This one is the gin alba, the basis gin, and amaretto sour, and we have the sangria rota.
