Perizad Ensemble (meaning 'born of an angel' in Farsi/Ottoman) will play a set of music drawn from Ottoman, Medieval European and Cretan traditions - folkloric fantasies, princely meditations and trance-inducing incantations.

Theo Lais is one of the UK's primary exponents of the Cretan lyra, a fretless bowed string instrument with sympathetic strings that give it it's resonant tone. He is joined by Zac Gvirtzman (clarinets, piano, percussion) and special guest Phelan Burgoyne.
