00:00Do I just say the winner?
00:02You're killing us here, Amanda!
00:04Okay.
00:06Christina.
00:08Oh, come on!
00:10So currently the score is 2-Us
00:12and 1-Christina.
00:14The next race is going to be very important.
00:16What are you going to pick?
00:18Guest bedroom, bathroom.
00:20There's a twist.
00:22Six categories.
00:24What happens if there's a tie?
00:26We'll figure that out.
00:28There's a few conditions.
00:30First of all, it has to be authentic.
00:32So if your room is rubbish, you get a 10.
00:34I'm going to tell our set if you don't pick me.
00:36Hands down, women would love our design.
00:38With a man, I just don't know.
00:40It's not a masculine room.
00:42The small details in here are really driving me crazy.
00:44The paint's missing in the corner there.
00:46The LED isn't straight.
00:48No point in human existence
00:50should anybody put wallpaper on ceilings.
00:52This room had wallpaper on the ceiling.
00:54I can argue with whatever I want to argue with.
00:56I came in thinking this was about
00:58the design, the execution,
01:00but actually, you guys draw.
01:02You and I will be connected forever
01:04because we have a kid.
01:06So I have to stand by the mother of my kid
01:08when you guys lose.
01:10You said a draw.
01:12Oh, come on!
01:14This is war.
01:16You need to up your game a bit
01:18to pull it out of the bag.
01:26Heather L. Musa.
01:28Hello.
01:30Hi. How are you?
01:32Oh, I'm feeling fabulous today.
01:34That's what happens when you rig games.
01:36I didn't rig.
01:38I can't control what he does.
01:40Sure.
01:42You guys are flirting.
01:44Oh, God.
01:46Oh, I think he's just trying to win you back.
01:48No, I think he's just jealous of all of our relationship
01:50that he got taken off the group text.
01:52He's jealous.
01:54Speaking of Ant and his weird judging,
01:56can we talk about the judges?
01:58Where are you guys at?
02:00We are in Long Beach. Where are you at?
02:02I'm really close to Long Beach.
02:04Want to just drop me a pin and I'll meet you guys?
02:06Yeah, I'll drop you a pin.
02:14Well, well, well.
02:16How are you?
02:18I'm great. How are you?
02:20Of course you're great.
02:22Wow.
02:24It wasn't a real win, Christina. Come on.
02:26A win's a win.
02:28We've lost the last two competitions in a row,
02:30and that is $4,000 total that we did not get from Christina.
02:32And we need that money.
02:34I mean, with that money, we upgrade our designs.
02:36$4,000 could be the difference between winning and losing.
02:38You get to pick the next room.
02:40I feel like backyard should be last.
02:42Like, let's finish out the house.
02:44I agree. Let's just do the extra rooms
02:46that we haven't started in the house.
02:48So all the miscellaneous would be
02:50that hasn't been judged.
02:52That hasn't been touched.
02:54No, judged.
02:56What do you mean touched?
02:58Our dining room's gonna be miscellaneous.
03:00We will not be judging your formal dining room space.
03:04I am only gonna be judging
03:06your kitchen and your kitchen.
03:08It is absolutely crucial
03:10that the dining room
03:12is included in miscellaneous challenge.
03:14That room has not been judged yet.
03:16It's probably the most beautiful space in the house.
03:18It has to be included.
03:20New rooms.
03:22New rooms.
03:24I'm picking the rooms.
03:26I mean, if you want to try to use your dining room
03:28with the backyard, go for it.
03:30I'm not giving in.
03:34Judge.
03:36Touched.
03:38I'm not agreeing. I'm not saying yes.
03:40Who's the judge gonna be?
03:42Obviously, Ant wasn't the best judge
03:44because he doesn't fully understand what we're doing.
03:46He understands flipping, understands design.
03:48Yeah, and not just design.
03:50I want them to appreciate the quality.
03:52I want them to appreciate the detail of the work we've done.
03:54That's how we're gonna stand out.
03:56Can we talk about something, though, for real?
03:58Sure.
04:00I feel like having six categories is setting us up for a tie.
04:02A tie. We don't want to do a tie.
04:04I feel like we can remove that wow factor.
04:06I feel like it really didn't do anything for us.
04:08Let me just be clear, though.
04:10We're on the same page, so you can't try to cheat later.
04:12The wow factor's been removed.
04:14Great.
04:16We're judging on...
04:18We need to pick the judge.
04:20Yeah, she picked the miscellaneous spaces.
04:22All the rest of the rooms haven't been judged.
04:24Okay, go. Go. Bye.
04:26Bye, judge!
04:28Go. Go.
04:34This last interior challenge is just so important
04:36because it's our final chance
04:38to add some value inside this house.
04:40All we have left is a foyer,
04:42a bedroom, and a laundry room.
04:44When we arrived three months ago,
04:46the foyer didn't make a good first impression.
04:48The third bedroom was small,
04:50and the one design choice
04:52was a nasty blue carpet.
04:54This house didn't have a laundry room,
04:56so we're going to create one out of the space
04:58we stole from the guest bathroom.
05:00Luckily, we did a demo three months ago
05:02because it's gonna be a huge challenge
05:04getting these three spaces done
05:06in only two weeks.
05:09I've won two challenges in a row,
05:11and I can't let up now.
05:13I have three spaces left to renovate,
05:15a powder room downstairs
05:17and two bedrooms upstairs.
05:19For the powder room, I stole some space
05:21from the primary bathroom.
05:23It's gonna be small, but adding a half bath
05:25is gonna raise the ROI on the house.
05:27The two bedrooms upstairs
05:29were gross and full of trash.
05:31Since this is bedroom three and four,
05:33I want to make one of them an office.
05:35Demo and clean-out was done
05:38So I have the full two weeks
05:40to focus on crushing them
05:42in the last interior challenge.
05:49Today we're meeting with Brian
05:51to go over the plan for each additional room.
05:53We have two weeks to finish this challenge.
05:55Okay, so this is the foyer or whatever it's called right here, right?
05:57This is the moment people are gonna see
05:59when they first walk in the house.
06:01This has to be special.
06:03I want to do a bench here.
06:05I want to do some type of wood feature
06:07all along this whole wall with hooks
06:09where you can hang coats on.
06:11At this point in the challenge,
06:13we've spent a lot of money.
06:15And we have a long way to go.
06:17Like, we haven't even talked about that backyard yet.
06:19That's gonna be expensive.
06:21So we have to be very careful
06:23at this point what we're spending.
06:25Okay, laundry room.
06:27How are we gonna make the laundry room exciting?
06:29You're a man.
06:31Of course you don't think laundry rooms are exciting,
06:33yeah.
06:35Bedroom. Let's do it.
06:37So we do, like, an accent wall here.
06:39Accent wall ideas.
06:41Oh!
06:43Someone do a mural or something cool.
06:45So when buyers are gonna walk in,
06:47they'll be like, oh, my God, look.
06:49What about Franco? He's a good artist.
06:51Yes. Franco Viscovi is not only a great friend of mine,
06:53but a world-class tattoo artist.
06:55He actually did the tattoo
06:57right here on my arm.
06:59I love that idea.
07:01We have to win this last interior challenge.
07:03We'll do that in the foyer
07:05by adding a seating and storage area
07:07for shoes, hooks on the walls for coats and bags,
07:09and some kind of accent wall.
07:11This house didn't have a laundry room,
07:13so adding one is massive ROI gain.
07:15We stole space from the bathroom
07:17to carve out a little laundry room,
07:19but we need to add a washer and dryer,
07:21a sink, a hanging rod,
07:23and countertops for folding.
07:25Bedrooms can be boring, so we're bringing in an artist
07:27to paint a one-of-a-kind mural on the wall.
07:29We'll add a workstation
07:31and finish it up with some shelves.
07:33Our budget is running low,
07:35so we're hoping that $40,000 will be enough
07:37to get us one more win.
07:39Okay, ready?
07:41Team...
07:43Five.
07:45Team Heather.
07:47Dork.
07:49You are mean.
07:53We have this bedroom,
07:55we have the room next door,
07:57and then we have the downstairs powder bath.
07:59Every single cent I spend
08:01from now on, I'm, like,
08:03taking it away from the backyard, right?
08:05During the last two challenges,
08:07my ego definitely got the best of me,
08:09and I wanted to win.
08:11I spent more money than I planned to,
08:13and I know that the exterior's gonna get really expensive.
08:15So this challenge, I'm trying to be more
08:17budget-conscious because I know
08:19I'm gonna have to spend money after this.
08:21This is where it's important to save money.
08:23For sure.
08:25We can just make it super cute,
08:27maybe do some type of an accent wall like normal.
08:29This would be the bed.
08:31This one's just gonna be design,
08:33not spending much money in here.
08:35And then next door, this is a tiny room.
08:37Like, rulesful, right?
08:39Yeah.
08:41For our purposes, this is gonna be an office.
08:43So I would love to do some built-ins,
08:45so maybe, like, something on this back wall.
08:47I just want to give the room some character.
08:49So just being very frugal in here.
08:51Last but not least, the powder bathroom,
08:53which, that one, I'm just gonna go, like, super bold.
08:55It's tiny space.
08:57In the bedroom, a wall of oversized closet,
08:59chic wallpaper,
09:01and an elevated pendant over the bed
09:03will tie into the rest of the house.
09:05The room next door will be an office.
09:07So I'm gonna spend some extra money on built-ins for storage
09:09and a custom desk along the longer wall.
09:11Back when we were doing the primary,
09:13I set aside space for the new powder room.
09:15This is really important
09:17because it will definitely up my ROI.
09:19I'm thinking a fun, eye-catching wallpaper,
09:21and I plan on using my full $2,000 winnings
09:23from Tarek and Heather
09:25to purchase a special sink
09:27to help give this space the flair that it needs.
09:29Hopefully, I can keep the budget for these rooms
09:31under $35,000,
09:33or I may be in trouble
09:35when it comes to finishing this competition.
09:37I know that Tarek and Heather's house
09:39is in a much better neighborhood,
09:41so they're definitely gonna be able to sell it
09:43for a higher sales price than I am.
09:45I need to be really careful in the next two challenges
09:47with my spending.
09:49Hopefully, I can beat them in the ROI
09:51even if my house sells for less.
09:53We're gonna save money, we're gonna get this done in two weeks,
09:55the house is gonna be done,
09:57and then we can focus on the yard.
09:59And that's gonna be a big frickin' challenge.
10:01So stay with me.
10:03It's a little bit of a challenge.
10:05They're gonna call the police on us.
10:07We should just go look at her house.
10:09There's no way we're gonna be able to get in there.
10:11The drone pilot.
10:13Look for an open window.
10:15All right, I need you to hurry.
10:17How do you do it?
10:19He's worse when you're here.
10:21So, the tiebreaker.
10:23Just give me the answer, please.
10:33Our laundry room is dry-walled
10:35and new flooring is going down in the bedroom.
10:37And we're stopping by today
10:39because I have samples of wall treatments
10:41for the foyer to show Tarek.
10:43Foyer.
10:45Just this wall.
10:47And then we do wallpaper
10:49on this wall with the sconces.
10:51And your eye looks right,
10:53you have the fluted fireplace,
10:55bringing in, like, the kind of colors
10:57that we're using throughout the house.
10:59Christina has not agreed to have our dining room judged,
11:01but if we can get it judged,
11:03we'll for sure win this challenge.
11:05So we need to figure out a way
11:07how to leverage her and get it in.
11:09I love it.
11:11All right, bedroom. Let's do it.
11:13I'm gonna do the mural.
11:15So he's gonna do palm fronds
11:17that are coming out from around the window.
11:19So custom art.
11:21World-famous artist.
11:23Yes, and then so this wall isn't boring over here.
11:25He's doing wood slats horizontal,
11:27coming out with shelves
11:29to put, like, plants on it or photo frames.
11:31We're looking at this project as a whole.
11:33Even though we did individual spaces,
11:35it needs to feel like it's one.
11:37So everything just flows really well in this house.
11:39I do feel like it's gonna bring a higher ROI for us.
11:41Oh, this is gonna be insane.
11:43Laundry room countertops.
11:45Matching the kitchen.
11:47We love that.
11:49So bringing that back into the laundry room.
11:51So gorgeous.
11:53But which wallpaper?
11:55These are ones that are in stock that I can get right away.
11:57I'm just not in love with any of them.
11:59What are we even going against?
12:01Does she have a laundry room space?
12:03Does she have another bathroom?
12:05Or is she a four-bedroom, two-bath? Do you remember?
12:07We should just go look at her house.
12:09They just dropped all that crap off.
12:11They drove around the back. They looked through our yard.
12:13Yeah, but how would we... Okay, we go to her house, and then what?
12:15We can't just walk foot in there.
12:17There's probably workers there. Michael's probably there.
12:19Like, there's no way we're gonna be able to get in there.
12:21My cousin, Jason, the drone pilot.
12:23He can fly through that house.
12:25I'll ask him if he can do it, because I'm going,
12:27yeah, because I gotta tell him he has to fly in a house
12:29with people who might try to steal his drone.
12:31He might not want to do that.
12:33This could work, though. It could work.
12:35So we are scheming. We're scheming.
12:37In normal circumstances, in a competition,
12:39we would never do this, but she got our address.
12:41Her and Michael came over and broke in and looked around.
12:43So what's fair is fair.
12:45We gotta try to get in and get out without anyone seeing us, though.
12:51In the bedroom, we're doing drywall fixes and a skim coat
12:53so we have flat walls for our wallpaper.
12:57Meanwhile, in the office, luxury vinyl flooring
12:59is going down, and built-ins are being installed.
13:07Hello.
13:09Hi.
13:11What is all this?
13:13Tennessee, sweetie.
13:15Did you send everything out here and ship it out?
13:17I had that transported,
13:19all four quads,
13:21and then my parents loaded up this entire SUV
13:23with, like, all my stuff that was there.
13:25While construction is happening at my flip,
13:27I had to deal with some real-life stuff.
13:29I own a home in Tennessee,
13:31and for the past couple years,
13:33Josh and I had spent a lot of time there.
13:35With everything going on
13:37and the fact that I'm just not spending any time there anymore,
13:39I decided it was time to get all my stuff out of the house.
13:41What's going on with the divorce?
13:43Oh, my God.
13:45It's crazy. He wants to retire with me.
13:47Honestly, if I would have really understood
13:49the repercussions of all of this,
13:51I would have got a prenup or I would have never married him.
13:53When my parents got to the house, this was gone.
13:55He took it. He thinks all of this is his,
13:57even though I bought this before marriage.
13:59That's when I was like,
14:01I need to get all this stuff out of here.
14:03He just made me another one,
14:05and it's so, so confusing for me
14:07why someone would want to do that to me,
14:09especially someone that didn't have to work for a few years
14:11that would take this much advantage of me.
14:13It's literally the last offer he made
14:15I thought was asinine.
14:17The next one is worse.
14:19More money.
14:21I just don't understand when there's no children involved
14:23that you two share.
14:25I know.
14:27It was a very short marriage.
14:29I know.
14:31I just can't wait for it to be done,
14:33but I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon, so...
14:35Well, I'm here to help you.
14:37This I actually think I'm going to use
14:39in the flip house.
14:41Where are we going with this?
14:43Let's lay it against that back wall.
14:45I have a beautiful piece of art,
14:47and I think it would be perfect to use in the Carson house.
14:49I love this piece. This is gorgeous.
14:51You too.
14:53You want to take those for a spin?
14:55Have you ever ridden a quad?
14:57No.
14:59Oh, driver.
15:01Ah!
15:03Ah, Christina!
15:05Oh, my God, you're crazy.
15:11They're going to call the police on us.
15:13You want to go again?
15:15No.
15:17Go slow.
15:19This can go over here.
15:21This thing.
15:23This is like what it lives for.
15:25You came in hot around that corner.
15:27Seriously, I'm just glad that back end went peace.
15:33Over at the flip,
15:35our foyer is moving along
15:37with custom built-in storage and fluted wood paneling.
15:39Meanwhile, we have something else to take care of.
15:41So what's our mission?
15:43Today's simple.
15:45All we need to do is look at any unfinished space.
15:47Yes.
15:49We are driving to Christina's house.
15:51We're meeting my cousin Jason.
15:53He's a professional drone pilot,
15:55so we can see all the different design choices and layouts.
15:57He'll be so mad if she finds out and catches us.
15:59I just hope he doesn't crash the drone.
16:01That would be a problem.
16:03Oh, here he is right here.
16:05What's up, cousin?
16:07What's up, brother?
16:09Good, good, man. Good to see you.
16:11Are we going to be able to pull this off?
16:13Yeah.
16:15You're not worried about flying inside this house?
16:17That's what you called me for.
16:19So you think you can get past all the workers?
16:21Aren't they going to see the drone?
16:23And like a spy?
16:25I'm going to fly it through these goggles,
16:27and you guys will be able to view it on my phone.
16:29Okay, so let's look for an open window.
16:31Oh, my gosh. I love this so much.
16:33Aren't they going to hear it, though?
16:35Well, I'm going to put it in silent mode when I get inside.
16:37Here we go.
16:39I'm going to have to sneak in through the garage.
16:41Christina's house looks empty. This is going to be great.
16:43Look how beautiful this kitchen is. Wow.
16:45Hey, hey, hey, cousin.
16:47Is that a laundry room right there?
16:49Oh, there's laundry in there.
16:51That's a laundry room.
16:53Let's go upstairs.
16:55That is pretty neat.
16:57I can barely fly in here. It's so small.
16:59How in the world are you flying this thing?
17:01That must be the guest room space.
17:03Wait, that's actually pretty damn nice.
17:05Oh, I'm back in the house.
17:07Did they see us?
17:11How are they not seeing us?
17:13You didn't do anything.
17:15Nobody saw me. I'm so small.
17:17This is her miscellaneous room she's about to do.
17:19The house is actually nicer than I thought it was going to be.
17:21Oh, that looks like an office.
17:23Oh, my God. He doesn't even see it.
17:25He doesn't even see it.
17:27How are they not seeing us?
17:29Two bedrooms. One of them looks like an office.
17:31The laundry room.
17:33Low battery, Jason.
17:35Yeah, we got to get out of here, guys.
17:37They're not even paying attention to this thing.
17:39These guys are so used to filming and drones flying around the house,
17:41like, they don't even react anymore.
17:43We don't have much time. We got to make our escape.
17:45I'm going to come back to us.
17:47Woo!
17:49Wow, that was neat.
17:51I don't know how we just pulled that off without getting caught.
17:53Dude, you are a genius.
17:55Good job, Jason.
17:57That was so fun. Mission accomplished.
17:59This was the coolest thing ever.
18:01She stepped it up.
18:03It's definitely better than we thought.
18:05It's totally better than we thought.
18:07I'm happy that we got to see what she's doing,
18:09because now we kind of know the level that she's playing at.
18:11Now the pressure's really on.
18:13Yeah.
18:17The new front door is being hung.
18:19We're painting the bedroom
18:21and installing custom wood shelves.
18:23And the laundry room flooring
18:25and built-ins are finally going in.
18:27What's up, bro?
18:29What's up, my man?
18:31How are you?
18:33So our buddy Franco, he's coming to the house today
18:35to do some custom art on the walls.
18:37Is that what you're doing?
18:39This room's supposed to be an experience when you walk in,
18:41so, like, it almost can't be too bold.
18:43Yeah, we don't want it to take over because we don't know,
18:45is it going to be a guest room, is it going to be a baby's room?
18:47This is safe.
18:49So it's going to be like this type of stuff,
18:51and then it just fades out into the wall tone.
18:53Love it. That's what I meant.
18:55Yay! Thank you for doing this.
18:57If you need us, just call us.
18:59Okay, you got it, you got it.
19:01Oh, my God, the flooring is sick.
19:03Do you love the rock?
19:05I do.
19:07It looks gorgeous.
19:09The original wallpaper might not make it in time.
19:11I have a backup.
19:13It's so dark.
19:15There's going to be the light bar.
19:17We're going to have these two lights.
19:19We have a light in the window.
19:21This is white.
19:23It's not like this is a dark laundry room,
19:25and I think it'll bring, like, a little bit of a sexiness to this,
19:27and it ties in, like, the darkness of the floor.
19:29Oh, gosh.
19:31What's up, second place?
19:33We're tied now.
19:35Oh, yeah, we're tied because you're bringing your ex-husband.
19:37So, um, I have my bandage ready for you guys to pick up.
19:39What is this thing?
19:41Do you want to do this before we go pick it up?
19:43If you need some design help, you know, we're available.
19:45I'll text you the address. It's in Thousand Oaks.
19:47Thousand Oaks?
19:49We're driving to Thousand Oaks?
19:51It's going to take five hours round trip.
19:53That's where it is.
19:55Oh, my God, why don't you mail it?
19:57Mail it.
19:59All right, we'll handle it. Don't worry. Bye.
20:01What? Why'd you tell her we're going to pick it up?
20:03We're not going to Thousand Oaks.
20:05We don't have to go pick it up.
20:07Well, who's going to get the sink?
20:09We don't have time for that.
20:11So for now, we're going to let her think that we're going to go to Thousand Oaks,
20:13but it's not going to be the case.
20:15Let's go.
20:21Okay, closet doors are going to go in.
20:23Yep.
20:25They're gorgeous. Check out this wallpaper.
20:27I just want to make sure this doesn't look too busy.
20:29You definitely don't want it as busy as that downstairs room.
20:31Is that what you're saying?
20:33When it came to the primary suite, that felt too busy in that small space.
20:35For this room, I want to do a wallpaper that has a bigger scale.
20:37That way, it doesn't feel so jarring when you walk in.
20:39Yeah, no, it's not as busy.
20:41Nothing like that downstairs room.
20:43Yeah, I know.
20:45With all those little lines.
20:47Yeah, it looks good. It's cute.
20:49All right, let's go check out the office.
20:51The built-ins look so good.
20:53I love it for an office.
20:55Now we just added so much storage in here between all these cabinets
20:57and then that little cushion area over there, the bench.
20:59Yeah.
21:01So, decided to save money and get rid of the fluting situation
21:03that was going behind the desk,
21:05because it looks so plain without...
21:07We should probably just continue the lime wash on that wall.
21:09That wall looks more plain.
21:11I think that's a good call.
21:13The wood fluting would have cost about $1,000,
21:15but doing the lime wash,
21:17it's only going to cost about $200 in paint and labor.
21:19So, I'm going to save on my budget,
21:21and the room will still have a completed look
21:23that the judges will definitely notice.
21:27Where's that toilet at?
21:29So fancy.
21:31Oh, wow. Look at this little guy.
21:33Where's the toilet?
21:35Oh, God. They're here.
21:37Oh, no.
21:39Hi.
21:41Hi. Why are you way over there?
21:43What are you guys doing?
21:45You guys have our sink?
21:47It's really heavy. It's so heavy.
21:49Why is he moving so fast?
21:51Just trust me. We got to get it out of here.
21:53I'll carry it for you, buddy.
21:55What are you up to?
21:57You guys seem very suspicious of what we're doing.
21:59All of a sudden, you're just carrying the boss.
22:01That's why I'm glowing.
22:03He's being sussy.
22:05Yes, he is.
22:07You're freaking me out. What are you doing?
22:09What's in there?
22:11He's up to something.
22:13I can tell, but this looks broken.
22:15What do you mean broken?
22:17It was like that.
22:19You have to buy a different sink.
22:21It was a real accident.
22:23Is he for real?
22:25It looks like it just barely dropped.
22:27That's why it's in a hundred pieces.
22:29What's even in this box?
22:31It's not your real sink.
22:33You thought it was your sink, though, huh?
22:35Where is the sink?
22:37We couldn't go all the way there.
22:39We paid for it to be delivered.
22:41Okay, that's fine.
22:43Whatever.
22:45You believed that was your sink, though, didn't you?
22:47Heather got a staging pot and the big sledgehammer.
22:49Yeah.
22:51Wow.
22:53By the way, your staircase is gorgeous.
22:55You saw it?
22:57No.
22:59We just peeked.
23:01Good work, Michael. Who did it for you?
23:03Shut up.
23:05So who's the judge?
23:07You know this judge.
23:09I'm going to give you a hint.
23:11He loves wearing silky gym shorts.
23:13Oh, that's easy. Jeff.
23:15Jeff Lawrence.
23:17He's upgrading now. He wears jeans now.
23:19By the first couple years, he would literally show up
23:21with these, like, silk basketball pants.
23:23Every day.
23:25Jeff Lawrence is one of the first contractors
23:27that we started working with when we first started flipping.
23:29He's going to appreciate the amount of detail
23:31we put into our project when he compares it to Kristen.
23:33That's really in your direction.
23:35I haven't worked with him in years.
23:37He's probably going to be a pretty harsh judge.
23:39I don't think that Tarek and Jeff always see eye to eye.
23:41They've had their fair share of arguments.
23:43I want you to soak it in,
23:45and I want you to tell me.
23:47I'm going to notice all the things you did wrong, for sure.
23:49This could backfire on Tarek.
23:51Can we level up and make it more fun?
23:53Now what?
23:55How?
23:57Can we also add Izzy?
23:59I don't think Christina realizes
24:01that Izzy knows Heather really well,
24:03and that Izzy actually helped remodel our house.
24:05The fact that she wants to bring Izzy on,
24:07that is the moment we have all been waiting for,
24:09because now we can use that as an advantage
24:11and get something from her.
24:13And we need to make sure
24:15we get the dining room into the challenge.
24:17We'll say yes to Izzy
24:19if our dining room is 100% included.
24:21Blind judging.
24:23Blind judging is fine.
24:25You have a deal.
24:27I'm not afraid of that dining room.
24:29Michael and I saw their dining room
24:31a few weeks ago.
24:33It's beautiful, so I am a bit worried.
24:35However, I think that bringing Izzy in
24:37is definitely going to help me.
24:39The judges really are everything.
24:41Bye, you guys.
24:43What are they doing?
24:45Why did they bring us a broken sink?
24:47So weird.
24:49I feel like she for sure thought that was the sink.
24:51We don't have a sink. We have a toilet.
24:53Okay, whatever.
24:55We're installing wallpaper in the bedroom and bathroom
24:57as well as the light fixtures
24:59in our last big push before the judging.
25:01And believe it or not,
25:03an unbroken sink has arrived.
25:05All right, I need you to hurry.
25:07Yes, ma'am.
25:09White, cream, white.
25:11I remember. White.
25:13No, it needs to look nice.
25:15It will look nice, but fast.
25:17We're rushing around today.
25:19We're making sure everything's finished.
25:21We really need this win because if we get this win,
25:23we get the extra $2,000 towards the backyard.
25:25We really need this.
25:27On a time crunch, we still got to stage the room.
25:29We have things to do.
25:31Fine.
25:33Oh!
25:35What's happening with these?
25:37Are they supposed to be finished?
25:39David, are you around by any chance?
25:41You know the wood slots in the corner in the bedroom?
25:43Yes.
25:45Are those being stained by any chance?
25:47Yeah, we've been staining them,
25:49and there's a little touch-up that we'll be doing.
25:51And then there's shelves going in
25:53that I'm going to be putting decor on.
25:55This is part of that space too, right?
25:57Yes.
25:59So everything needs to be...
26:01Michael's out sick.
26:03Luckily, my project manager, Dalton,
26:05he can do anything,
26:07so it's going to be all hands on deck.
26:09Do we know who the judges are?
26:11Jeff, he always wore gym shorts.
26:13Gym shorts?
26:15We call them gym shorts, Jeff,
26:17because he literally every single day wore gym shorts.
26:19That's my biggest pet peeve in a man.
26:21He needs some structure down below.
26:25That was the judge they picked,
26:27but then I convinced them to add Izzy
26:29because Jeff definitely favors him.
26:31And do it blind, so we have a much better chance.
26:33What do we think about this light height?
26:35Concerning?
26:37Yes.
26:39I did clock myself on it yesterday.
26:41Let's just hope the judges don't do that.
26:43Don't hit your head.
26:45Just put helmets on in this room.
26:47This looks perfect.
26:49I was a little bit worried
26:51because it's very specific and kind of beachy
26:53that it wouldn't go with our flow,
26:55but I think all the little wood pieces tie nicely.
26:57The light switches aren't on yet.
26:59Who's doing that?
27:01I'll do them if we have to.
27:03Woo!
27:05Izzy's also been flipping houses on his own, right?
27:07Yeah.
27:09So what's his vibe? Have you seen any of his flips?
27:11Yeah, they've been doing higher-end coastal looks,
27:13so similar to this, but honestly not even as nice as this.
27:15Jeff's also pretty...
27:17I feel like Jeff will pick things apart.
27:19Go ahead.
27:21Oh, so easy.
27:23It just takes care of itself.
27:25What craftsmanship things could they come at us for?
27:27Nothing. The wallpaper looks perfect.
27:29Closet doors are gorgeous.
27:31I feel like there's no issues.
27:33Are those heavy?
27:35It's just bulky.
27:37I make everything look heavy because I'm just small, you know.
27:39Making good timing.
27:41Don't hit your head.
27:43Geek!
27:45Oh, my God.
27:47Oh, my God.
27:49Oh, my God.
27:51Oh, my God.
27:53Oh, my God.
27:55Oh, my God.
27:57This thing's scaring me.
27:59That would be really awful if one of them
28:01hits their head on it during judging.
28:03Oh, guess what you guys lost
28:05because I hit my head.
28:07I do have an extra light fixture.
28:09We are really down to the wire, too.
28:11But I think we have to.
28:13It's like down to the wire.
28:15Wouldn't it be fun if we weren't doing this
28:17minutes before?
28:19Always, right?
28:21Just give them the wrong address really quick.
28:23Oh, this one's...
28:25Hold on. This is all tangled.
28:27No pressure. They're just going to be here in, like, five seconds.
28:29None of those are hot, right?
28:31No.
28:33Switch is off.
28:35Yep.
28:37No stress, no stress.
28:39There we go.
28:41There we go.
28:43Yay! It works.
28:45It's so nice being able to just walk right under there.
28:47No one's going to leave with a concussion after this.
28:49I can't believe it's done.
28:51We're done.
28:53Oh, I just got a text.
28:55Hi, teams. Pencils down.
28:57Time to leave your houses so we can judge your miscellaneous spaces.
28:59We will see you at the
29:01winner reveal. Izzy and Jeff.
29:03Okay.
29:05You good? Okay. Yes. I feel great.
29:07All right. I feel good, actually.
29:09All that's left is exterior.
29:21Izzy and Jeff are judging our foyer,
29:23dining room, laundry room, and our third bedroom.
29:27They are going to pick every little,
29:29tiny mistake apart.
29:31Were they a good choice?
29:33We don't know yet, but we know they're judging Christina's house, too.
29:35Check this out, dude.
29:37Yeah.
29:39Ooh, this is nice.
29:41Smells nice in here.
29:43Wow. Wait, wait, wait.
29:45Do you hear that?
29:47Yeah, it's the flight path.
29:49We're under an airport.
29:51So here's your entry or foyer here.
29:53Wow.
29:55I like the transformation.
29:57The arches.
29:59So my backpacks go up here.
30:01All my kids' junk goes, softball bags,
30:03all that stuff go up there.
30:05Shoes and everything go down there.
30:09I really like this space.
30:11You got some cool colors, and you got the neutrals
30:13and the warmth from the wood.
30:19This feels like a Christina design.
30:21Look at the fireplace.
30:23Fireplace matches all the fluting over here.
30:25Mm-hmm.
30:27I like how they brought it across.
30:29Yeah.
30:31I like that, too.
30:33From here, I could already see it's uneven.
30:35You see it?
30:37Yeah.
30:41Left looks wider.
30:43They missed it by 2 inches.
30:45Really?
30:47That much?
30:49That much.
30:51That goes to craftsmanship.
30:53Right.
30:55There's a few little overspray marks up on the top,
30:57and there's that plane again.
30:59I probably would have put some more insulation
31:01just to deaden the noise.
31:03Right.
31:09Right on in here.
31:11The laundry's gorgeous.
31:21No, this is nice.
31:23They did a great job with this.
31:25They did some good work.
31:29It's a little small, you know.
31:35Yeah, so it's a little under 5 feet.
31:37Yeah.
31:39Look, I know Tarek and Christina don't do their laundry,
31:41their own laundry.
31:43No, not at all.
31:45Not at all.
31:47They're like, let's make this look good,
31:49but as far as the function...
31:51Yeah.
31:53This is all a really nice design.
31:55They really tied everything in well together.
31:57Mm-hmm.
31:59What do you think on these shelves?
32:01This is a designer's dream.
32:03This is just to look good.
32:05Yeah.
32:07But this is not gonna function.
32:09Not functional.
32:11This is not gonna function.
32:13It just looks like it's gonna fall off.
32:15Yeah.
32:17My 11-year-old is breaking that.
32:19Yeah, this is like an art project here.
32:21And, you know, I like the artisan mural there.
32:23So what do you think overall?
32:25I like the design.
32:27Okay.
32:29The craftsmanship is up par.
32:31Yes, there could be some things that are better,
32:33but overall, I really like the finishes.
32:35I like the flow.
32:37Everything that they did added value.
32:39All right.
32:41You ready to hit this next one?
32:43Yeah.
32:47All right, let's see what we're dealing with here.
32:49Oh, wow.
32:51So this is us right here, boss.
32:53Ooh, check this out.
32:55There's your powder room.
32:59I like the moody, dark sink,
33:01and its wall mount.
33:03I like that they complimented it with the brass.
33:05You got the wall-mount toilet.
33:07But no storage.
33:09This used to be a full bath.
33:11So what's in there?
33:13Oh, my God.
33:15Here's your answer.
33:17This used to be a full bath.
33:19We still keep a really good-sized bathroom.
33:21I love that. It's a true en suite.
33:23I think this is amazing.
33:25I didn't see anything at the other house
33:27that gave me the wow factor of, like,
33:29oh, they really changed the space outside the laundry room.
33:31I think they added a ton of value here.
33:33Upstairs?
33:35Let's check it out.
33:37Bedroom? No.
33:39Office.
33:41What do you think of this?
33:43Oh, this thing was thrash, bro.
33:45I like the design.
33:47You have the more natural colors.
33:49I like the white oak here.
33:51I'm not actually loving how it almost matches the LVT.
33:53Too matchy-matchy.
33:55Yeah.
33:57It needs contrast.
33:59I love the built-ins,
34:01but is this functional for a family of three?
34:03This is an office-slash-bedroom.
34:05When you're doing a flip,
34:07we stage it,
34:09but we don't do built-ins.
34:11You're taking away too much space.
34:13For this being an office.
34:15Yeah, this room I'm kind of conflicted on.
34:17Let's get to the last room.
34:19Okay.
34:21Okay, so this is the second bedroom.
34:23Oh, hey, now.
34:25I love the woodwork.
34:27I love the doors on the closets.
34:29We definitely don't have anything special going on inside.
34:31I'm not wowed by too much else.
34:33Is that rubbing?
34:35Yeah, it does rub a little bit.
34:37Yeah, a lot of them.
34:39In certain ways,
34:41it's cleaner than the other house.
34:43The wallpaper here is not as clean of an install.
34:45It's almost like the painter said,
34:47oh, I could do the wallpaper.
34:49I like the way they used the space.
34:51You know how sometimes you get in there,
34:53let's move walls here, let's do that.
34:55You don't need to do too much with it.
34:57I think that one was doing a little bit too much
34:59with that bedroom.
35:01The bathroom downstairs,
35:03I think that's a great transformation.
35:05It gives all your guests a nice little bathroom to go use.
35:07All right, you ready?
35:09Yeah.
35:15Hello.
35:17Hi.
35:19You're like 6'5 today, what is this?
35:21She can't come in the house walking around like a giant.
35:23Oh, little man.
35:25That's it, I'm getting my boots.
35:27Tiny man, how you doing?
35:29He's worse when you're here.
35:31Knock, knock.
35:33How are you?
35:35What's up?
35:37Oh, it's all personal, what are you talking about?
35:41We gave a name to each of the houses.
35:43There was one that was under the flight path.
35:45We called it the airplane house.
35:47Okay.
35:49That flight path was just relentless.
35:51Wow, yeah.
35:53And then the other one,
35:55we just had it as a two-story house.
35:59Overall design with the airplane house,
36:01the foyer is absolutely stunning.
36:03Texture, the fluted millwork.
36:05I saw that as a really good drop zone for the kids.
36:07It was well put together, for sure.
36:09Yeah.
36:11From the foyer into the dining room.
36:13That dining room really flowed into the rest of the house.
36:15But then we also realized, like,
36:17man, this is over the top.
36:19Maybe a little bit too much money spent,
36:21given the area?
36:23That's something that we would do, like,
36:25in a customized build-out.
36:27Right.
36:29It's not a spec house.
36:31When we were in the two-story house,
36:33there were some bold choices that were made.
36:35I love the secondary miscellaneous bedroom.
36:37I love that it was airy,
36:39it was bright,
36:41the choice of the wallpaper.
36:43I personally like the use
36:45of the wall-mounted toilet.
36:47I like the bold,
36:49moody color of the sink.
36:51Yeah.
36:53On the office space,
36:55the design of using the white oak
36:57is very,
36:59very trendy right now.
37:01But you have to be able
37:03to complement the flooring
37:05with the white oak.
37:07And so that, for me, was a minus.
37:09On the overall design,
37:11we felt that,
37:13which house won?
37:15The airplane house.
37:17The airplane house.
37:19So on the added value,
37:21we'll start with
37:23the airplane house.
37:25I liked how
37:27there was a creation
37:29of a foyer.
37:31What we're worried about
37:33is it overspending for the neighborhood.
37:35Are we gonna get that ROI on it?
37:37We don't know.
37:39On the second story,
37:41the powder room
37:43was created
37:45from a full bath.
37:47For me, that was, like, a huge plus.
37:49Instead of it being a four-bedroom, two-bath,
37:51it's a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath.
37:53How is it possible that we did not see
37:55that powder bath on the drone?
37:57I think we thought it was a laundry room.
37:59Yeah, well, bad news is,
38:01that's gonna totally increase our ROI.
38:03We felt that the powder room decision
38:05won this category.
38:07We're giving that one to the second-story home.
38:13The next category, use of space.
38:15All right, so starting in the airplane house,
38:17what I really liked is that you guys
38:19brought a laundry room into the house.
38:21But on the downside,
38:23I would have loved to have seen a half bath in there.
38:25So the second-story house,
38:27looking at it as just an investor,
38:29it didn't seem like
38:31the money that was spent
38:33was over the top there.
38:35The layout stayed existing,
38:37and you really didn't have to do much there
38:39to get an ROI back,
38:41especially for the market that that house was in.
38:43Use of space, we gave that to...
38:45The two-story home.
38:51We're at 2-1.
38:55The transformation part of it.
38:57With the airplane house,
38:59what we really liked was,
39:01not only was the foyer opened up,
39:03so now I can walk in,
39:05I see a line of sight all the way down.
39:07The finishes were very nice, very high-end.
39:09For the two-story house,
39:11the transformation,
39:13as far as completely transforming spaces,
39:15I didn't see that.
39:17We ended up giving
39:19the transformation category to...
39:21Airplane house.
39:23So,
39:25the tiebreaker.
39:27Last category, craftsmanship.
39:29It's craftsmanship.
39:31For the airplane house,
39:33when I start looking
39:35at the design,
39:37you're already spending that type of money.
39:39Everything needs to be perfect.
39:41When you look at the fireplace,
39:43it's not symmetrical.
39:45Somebody spent tons
39:47of money,
39:49and the left side of the fireplace
39:51is larger than the right side.
39:53For the last 10, 15 years,
39:55we're the ones judging their work,
39:57and today they're judging our work,
39:59and I don't know if I like it this way.
40:01I could expect that in one of Jeff's homes.
40:03This guy's going to get freaking shanked.
40:05Holy s***.
40:07You know, on a flip house.
40:09Now, if we're looking at the two-story house.
40:11Things weren't as operable.
40:13The closet doors,
40:15you couldn't open them up,
40:17and the craftsmanship wasn't there.
40:19Wallpaper that was peeling?
40:21Yeah.
40:23Like, just give me the answer, please.
40:25Overall, if I'm looking at this house
40:27versus this house...
40:31The second story,
40:33I would call it just builder grade.
40:35The single story,
40:37that was more of a customization.
40:39The airplane house,
40:41it won the craftsmanship category.
40:43The airplane house won.
40:45Oh, my God.
40:47Oh, I can't even stop laughing. This is too much.
40:49Wait, the airplane house was you?
40:51Yeah.
40:53She just did a dab.
40:55She's way too calm.
40:57She just wants to get the hell away from him.
40:59Thank you. I know.
41:01That was rough.
41:03Blind judging is torture.
41:05You cannot defend yourself.
41:07You have to sit there and just take it
41:09no matter what they say,
41:11but at the end of the day, it's about making money.
41:13You know this, T, right?
41:15I'm guessing that you're into it somewhere around $400,000.
41:19Higher than $400,000?
41:21She doesn't know.
41:23Not over $500,000, right?
41:25She doesn't know our secrets.
41:27I'm definitely bummed that I lost this week's challenge,
41:29but the judges keep mentioning
41:31how much Tarek and Heather are spending.
41:33I can only hope that I win
41:35when it comes to the return on investment.
41:37Three to two.
41:39Oh, my God.
41:41See what he does?
41:43When I win, I just leave.
41:45Maybe we made the wrong decision here.
41:47No!
41:49No!
41:51Yeah, and the whole competition.
41:53No way.
41:55Next, on the season finale of The Flip Off...
41:57The last competition.
41:59Backyard, front yard.
42:01And then it comes down to the whole thing, the ROI.
42:03Three-two. They're three. We're two.
42:05We spent a lot of money.
42:07What?
42:09You think they're droning to find out what we're doing?
42:11Yes.
42:13Oh, we got to do payback.
42:15I'll go distract them, and you can run through the house
42:17and take as many photos as you can.
42:19He's dumping his savings into here.
42:21Why are you in our backyard?
42:23Chase him down.
42:25The judge is Jeff Lewis.
42:27Very critical.
42:29You're gonna handle that?
42:31I just find, like, rodent intrusion usually freaks people out.
42:33It's sparse.
42:35Who cares how the sausage is made?
42:37I'm gonna throw out the categories,
42:39because I don't believe this is a fair competition.
42:43All the challenges are finished.
42:45It's time to list our houses
42:47and finally see who wins it all.
42:49We have four weeks to sell it, or we lose.
42:51Originally, we were thinking we would sell for, like, 1.3.
42:53We spent, like, way more.
42:55I'm confident that we'll have multiple offers,
42:57and then the games begin.
42:59Wait, what?
43:01It's super tight. Like, we could lose this thing.
43:03I don't know what.
43:05Unfortunately, there's only one winner.
43:07So are you ready to hear who the winner is?
43:09Yes.
