00:00We don't know exactly how long it's going to take for the birds and the wildlife and the nature to recover from this kind of incident.
00:09I think partly because we don't really know exactly all the details, it's developing hour by hour, so we don't yet know what we're working with.
00:19I think as we see things over the next couple of months develop, we're going to have a better idea on what we're dealing with
00:25and how the wildlife is going to be able to adapt or not to this kind of situation, so it's one to watch definitely.
00:55RSPC Bentley Toadstool is a beautiful nature reserve here on the Yorkshire coast.
01:01We are home to thousands and thousands of seabirds during the breeding season.
01:07They all come in here to breed, so they're raising their families, they're raising chicks here, and they're also feeding out in the North Yorkshire Sea.
01:15It is a really vital community and a vital place for populations of seabirds.
01:25We're highly concerned about the connection with the cargo ship and the tanker that happened just off Barrow Road this morning.
01:37We are primarily, obviously very concerned about the people that are involved in that, and it's very stressful to the Coast Guard and the wildlife as well.
01:47We're mainly concerned about the effect that we're going to have on our seabird populations here,
01:53and what this is going to mean for our wildlife.
01:57We're mainly concerned about the effect that we're going to have on our seabird populations here,
02:05and what this is going to mean for our wildlife.
