00:00In 2015, a series of gunfire or shooting modes were fired at the victim and the driver, both Filipinos and non-Filipinos.

00:10Their complaint was that the gun was aimed at their luggage and the driver was being pulled by the people of the airport.

00:16In a case where an OFW lost his job, he was not able to return to his employer abroad.

00:22The government formed an interagency team to take care of the OFWs fighting the modes.

00:27In 2016, a survey was published that the OFW was the 5th worst in Asia.

00:32One of the reasons for the answers in the survey is the fear that they might be victims of gunfire.

00:38In the years that passed, the government assured that the modes were no longer used, but only last year,

00:43a passenger who claimed to have seen a gun in his bag, which he said was not his, appeared again.

00:50And now, because of what happened to Ruth Adel and her family in March 6, 2016,

00:56Where's the gun? Where's the gun?

00:58netizen asked if the gun was returned.

01:02He saw a gun in Adel's bag so he went to the Office for Transportation Security even though they were in the boarding area of the airplane.

01:10Where is it?

01:11Rosary.

01:12Rosary. Maybe it's this.

01:14This is for your nose.

01:16After the accusation, no one saw a gun, a bag or anything in Adel's bag.

01:21I have nothing to do with what happened, ma'am.

01:23So that's it? Yes or no?

01:25Empty shell.

01:33Now it's empty shell.

01:35But they wanted to bring the bag to the OTS office to be scanned again.

01:39At this point, they passed the X-ray machine and the witnesses are not sure what bag they have that has a gun in it.

01:46I was alone, ma'am. They put a gun in my bag.

01:55In her post about the incident, Adel mentioned that the OTS officials are still smiling.

02:00She's still laughing. I thought she was pranking us because the way she delivered the message, there's no professionalism.

02:12They were in the airplane but they wanted to sue the three OTS personnel.

02:17They were put back in their seats and placed in a floating status while the DOTR is investigating the incident.

02:24We are sending a message loud and clear to everyone in government

02:27that we will not tolerate this sort of behavior against our citizens.

02:31The OTS officials admitted that they have done something wrong.

02:34They complained that the inspection has already passed through the X-ray counter.

02:37Our people are lacking in something.

02:40They were chased to the boarding gate.

02:43Once you are screened and cleared by the screener, you're done.

02:48The DOTR passed a protocol.

02:51The Department of Transportation has a warning to the employees of the government in the airport,

02:56especially those who serve the public.

02:58You are not allowed to sneeze.

03:00I will remove the word smirk or sneeze from the faces of the unprofessional, abusive and arrogant OTS personnel.

03:14Our passengers should not be harassed.

03:21The airport will also have a hotline to complain about irregularities.

03:24According to the new company running the IAOTS,

03:28they will still investigate because they are responsible for the security screening as well as the X-ray baggage inspection.

03:34They have already reached an agreement with the OTS and the CCTV footage of the incident has already been reviewed.

03:39According to Atty. Gabby Concepcion,

03:41checking the equipment in the airport is a security measure for the protection of the people that should be followed.

03:47But it should be reasonable.

03:49But this should not be done in a way that will result in the permission of other people or passengers.

03:56And maybe those who are doing these searches,

04:00you may be the next one to file a case.

04:03There may be a criminal case.

04:05Actually, there are many.

04:06Extortion, bribery case or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
